First, the team came on time and cleaned my gutters quickly and effectively. They had a mechanical issue with their pressure washer and Nikki proactively communicated with me to get that service rescheduled in a reasonable time. When Terry and his team showed up they walked me thru what they were going to do and asked if I had any questions. He led by example the entire time he was there, coaching his team to make sure my home was as clean as possible when they were all done. He treated our home like it was his own that he was cleaning. Would I recommend APW to a friend or neighbor? Yes, absolutely! Will certainly be calling them again to clean our home's exterior again when the time comes. Thank you Nikki, Terry, and the APW crew!

I am writing a review on this page because I can't find a legitimate place to write a review on the…read moreother company these people own named Apex Pools, LLC. All searches lead me back to this one which is owned by the same person, Terence McKenna. Plus they drove the power washing vehicle to our house all the time. The process with Apex Pools LLC began in July '22. Terence (Terry) McKenna with Apex Pools LLC (406 Holland Rd, Fuquay Varina, NC), who represents Narellan Pools USA, called us, and we met with him. We were told at the time we signed our contract that it would be a 6-8 week process and we were okay with that since the likelihood of us getting any use out of it that year wasn't good. Today is June 20, '23 and eleven months later, we are finally finished. I can't say enough bad things about the "company", Apex Pools LLC. It is a literal two-man operation, Terry and Pat (hence the quotations). This process started out with us ordering the pool we wanted when the manufacturer in Florida had an issue with the fiberglass molding process. I understand that this is not Apex Pool LLC's fault but the communication about it left something to be desired. After a lot of back and forth and finally being told the mold machine for that specific pool was being taken offline, we chose another pool that was "in stock" and waited a few weeks to get it. It was all downhill from there. When Terry and Pat came to grade our yard for placement of the pool, they didn't do it correctly and we ended up having to have a French drain system installed which we had to pay for out of pocket. Once the pool finally came, it sat by our front yard for 3 days. There was an issue with getting a crane company out to our home so they could lift the pool over the house and drop it into the ground. My husband, who knew someone at a crane company, made tentative plans to have a crane available in 3 days but Terry said, "Oh no, that's going to cost $3,500", and decided on his own to use a lowboy to get the pool to the backyard and in the process, completely destroyed our landscaping, our irrigation system, our grass - everything was destroyed. We were told by Terry that we would NOT be getting a refund for the crane because he (slipped up) and said he now had to pay a landscaper to fix the yard they destroyed. He said they were in a rush because "we wanted to hurry and get the pool in the ground so we could use it" which was NOT the case at all - it was mid-October at this point. The concrete that was placed around the pool looked like a child did it compared to the other work a concrete professional later came in and completed (we had concrete poured in addition to what the pool company provides in the package). Terry once again blamed us saying that we told him it looked good. I responded to him and said we aren't concrete professionals and had no idea what it was supposed to look like or that it wasn't supposed to hold water. We didn't realize what a shoddy job they did until the actual professionals did their work. It was going to cost us $4,000 for the concrete company to break up and replace what Apex Pools LLC did. We decided not to go that route being that we'll eventually have it all painted. The coping around the pool was a disaster as well. Loose pieces, jagged edges, installation wasn't uniform, gaps, etc. We constantly reminded Terry over voicemail and text that this needed to be fixed due to concerns of someone being injured. It literally took WEEKS for them to make time to come out and "fix" the issues. Even after this, it still looks unacceptable. I'm not sure how or if can be fixed at this point. The pump/filter system was poorly put together also. We had a professional pool care company come out and they said, on top of some of the pipes being leaky, the mechanisms inside the system appeared to have been piece milled together. We later found out the laterals in the filter itself we're upright instead of laying flat under the sand which caused the pool care company not to be able to perform their job correctly and cost us a couple of visits that we had to pay for before we realized what the problem was. Again, it took WEEKS for Terry to make time to come out and fix the issue. The bonding wire wasn't installed correctly which, among other things that weren't necessarily the fault of Apex Pools LLC (gate latches, door alarm) caused us to fail our final inspections twice. We hired an electrician to come out and fix the wire issue and we were finally able to pass inspection today - 11 months after this process started. We paid $85,000 for a pool that came with avoidable problems. I've asked to be reimbursed $3,300 (crane & pool care visits) which I don't think is unreasonable all things considered. Terry hasn't acknowledged my request to this day. Maybe they should stick with Apex Power Washing and Gutter Cleaning, their main company. Maybe they're good at it, know knows.
