Now I'm dealing with possible heart failure because the infection from the exposed bone likely spread to my heart and has already caused an infarction -- exactly what I was actively trying to prevent. I did not know my bone was exposed. My medical condition -- the one I'm on disability for -- includes loss of feeling in certain areas. My last dental exam was good except for medically necessary orthodontic treatment I was working through administrative barriers to get. The affected area was not visible during normal dental care. I could not figure out why I had been sick for months off and on. When I investigated further, I found that a tooth had broken through the jawbone, leaving the bone and the root exposed. The infection was already systemic. I called Wakefield immediately and explained the situation. They told me they would call in an oral surgeon and address the infection promptly. So I made the hour‑and‑a‑half drive. I showed the triage nurse, who confirmed it was serious and checked me in. Then I was placed in a makeshift curtain room, and they decided they did not want to call the surgeon after all. To avoid EMPLA liability, the staff changed "systemic infection with exposed bone" to "dental pain." Keep in mind I do not have feeling in that area -- I told them that -- so this was not even a possible mistake. They brought me discharge papers without further evaluation, treatment, labs, or anything. They handed me discharge papers with the problem relabeled to mischaracterize my situation. When I tried to show them the discrepancy, I was reframed as hostile. I was discharged in a dangerous and untreated medical state. Now I've had a recent infarction (heart attack) because the exposed bone remained untreated longer and the infection was ignored longer. I finally received antibiotics and had the area cleaned and covered by another hospital, but the infection is now in my heart and my life is in danger while another hospital tries to sort this out.

I did the 21 day free trial and was extremely close to signing up fully, but I have a gym in my complex with similar equipment. However, places like O2 (Lifetime, Equinox etc) are much more than a gym, they are an ~experience~ I don't think most people go solely to work out or train, they go for the elevated service/treatment, community, motivation from/of being around others etc. And you definitely get that here at O2. Pricewise is what you would expect from a facility of this caliber, but their prepaid packages do get you some decent savings. The operations staff is nice and friendly - sales people can be a bit aggressive but that's to be expected. Overall, I'd recommend this as a first choice to anyone who does not have a home gym or something readily available in their complex. Can't beat the location either - perfect for working out and running errands before or after.

I started my first ever PT with another business here in town, which had been recommended. I hated the evaluation and the initial visit, where the PT person complained that he hated his job, which was doing paperwork for the insurance company. Lighting was dim, and the room wasn't organized well. I went home and did my homework and found out that group was purchased by an investment firm and because it had "Novant" slapped onto the name, it could change hospital rates even though not a true Novant facility. So I cancelled my upcoming appointments and asked around. Kimmie at Chandler was highly recommended and I have been so thankful for her and the sessions we have done over the past month or so. The space is clean and bright, and organized with therapists and assistants moving about the equipment and making sure that the full range of exercises and procedures are being done correctly and at the appropriate levels. She's never complained about anything. She is always positive and encouraging. Everyone there seems to like each other and things are done as a team. I respect this group , as I feel respected and I am listened to and advised with the best of their ability. If I ever need PT again I know I will be with Chandler.
