First of all, this is a negative comment on the PT group I started with BEFORE I found Chandler,…read moreand I love Chandler and could not recommend more. I started my first ever PT with another business here in town, which had been recommended. I hated the evaluation and the initial visit, where the PT person complained that he hated his job, which was doing paperwork for the insurance company. Lighting was dim, and the room wasn't organized well. I went home and did my homework and found out that group was purchased by an investment firm and because it had "Novant" slapped onto the name, it could change hospital rates even though not a true Novant facility. So I cancelled my upcoming appointments and asked around. Kimmie at Chandler was highly recommended and I have been so thankful for her and the sessions we have done over the past month or so. The space is clean and bright, and organized with therapists and assistants moving about the equipment and making sure that the full range of exercises and procedures are being done correctly and at the appropriate levels. She's never complained about anything. She is always positive and encouraging. Everyone there seems to like each other and things are done as a team. I respect this group , as I feel respected and I am listened to and advised with the best of their ability. If I ever need PT again I know I will be with Chandler. I wish I could give higher than 5 stars.

On two separate occasions I booked an appointment and received confirmation only to arrive and find that I didn't have an appointment after all. But all that within the space of two months made me decide to take my business somewhere else. At this price point, I believe I can do better...

I tore the meniscus in my right knee in November 2025. I knew exactly what it was, because I had…read moretorn my left meniscus several years earlier. I made an appointment to be seen by one of the PAs. She had them x-ray my knee, to make sure there was no bone issue going on. After a physical exam, she told me that I was correct, it was a torn meniscus. She wanted me to get an MRI done to get a good look at it. She did not provide me with anything to help with my knee in the meantime. When I tore my left meniscus, I had been given a brace to wear by the doctor I saw at their Clemmons location. That helped me to continue to be able to walk. Luckily, I still had that brace, so I just wore it for the same amount of time I had been advised to the previous time. The MRI confirmed the tear. The surgeon I saw when I came in for the results of the MRI gave me two options. One was surgery, where they would use a scope to go into my knee and clean out the loose tissue. He said I would be out of work for 12 weeks, possibly less, if I felt well enough to go back sooner. The second option was physical therapy. He said there was a chance it might not help, and it was a very conservative approach to my condition. I almost felt like he was hoping I would say surgery. I opted for physical therapy. Luckily, it worked, and I do not need surgery.

Of the three experiences I've had with extended PT at three different PT facilities, Break Through far exceeded the care and services provided by the others. Cheryl and her team have helped me recover my mobility, range of motion, and strength in just a few months following rotator cuff surgery. I asked him to direct me on how to place my shoulder on the table, and he proceeded to grab my arm without permission (I have a messed-up shoulder, by the way) and pulled it down very hard. I asked him why he would grab me that way. He said it's easier for him to do it himself than to explain.... excuse me!
