I am a member here and have been since May of last year. Massage day is always my favorite day of the month. This is the best self care I could have ever chosen! The one issue I had was handled quickly and management was wonderful about it. It is always peaceful here, and I always leave feeling relaxed and ready to tackle the rest of the month! I recently had a massage at this location and my massage therapist was wonderful. She listened to my concerns and focused on those areas as well as gave me stretches to work on between my next visit... This was an hour long massage appointment. The room was clean, comfortable and relaxing. Massage envy has their monthly program which is what I use for my services it's a great deal at a great monthly rate. I've visited the Greensboro location MANY times and I've ALWAYS been asked to arrive 10 minutes before to check in and also a lot for changing clothes etc. NEVER have I had to wait past my appointment time and watch orders that arrive AFTER me be taken back BEFORE me. I approached the counter to inquire about my wait (I've been here since 10:43...appointment was 11:00) and was immediately met with "it's 11:02" in a patronizing manner. I explained that I've been waiting for at least 15 minutes and was immediately cut off with "your appointment starts at 11:00 it's 11:02. Someone will be out shortly". I've watched several others go in (which I understand their appointment and therapists are ready) but I'm taken aback with the customer service. I so wish I got her name but nevertheless. This place is a ripe off. I pay a monthly fee of 75.00 however when I went for a massage on 5/12/2023 my account was charged 85.00. I called and spoke with Ashley.... she told me I should have asked them to pull my payment early. Well, when I signed up no one told me to ask to have my monthly membership payment pulled early to cover the charges if I came in before 5/21/2023. I just canceled my membership. Nightmare- it's a scam business I wrote a review last month about canceling my membership. After that I had several nasty conversations with front desk, Makayla and her manager, Randi. Makayla first lied to me by saying they never receive my application. After I caught her lying she said she can't put my request into their system because she is on phone with me. I asked to talk to her manager. She said she can do it after work. I said' is this how your mother raise you up so that you can be a liar?' I was then transferred to her manager and unsurprisingly my call was dropped. Later that day I received a call from the manager who promised me that I will receive refund and have my membership cancelled. She emailed me an agreement. A few days later I also received a message from BBB that massage envy agreed to resolve the case so I just close the complaint. It has been one month since I spoke to them. I didn't see any refund but I do have September charges pending. They didn't do anything they promised, just unbelievable. read more

Monday was my first time at this location and I was impressed with the front desk staff. My wife made my appointment and put on my calendar for the 21st when in actuality it was supposed to be the 28th. Well instead of just telling me I was there on the wrong day they checked to see if they had cancellation for my appointment time which there was and the rescheduled my appointment for that time. They finally they call me and I explain and ask if I can move to latertime.Told I could then get a call saying I will be charged for the one I miseed. I took a picture of the record of the cancellation as well. And told the lady that nicely served me please make sure I got canceled and don't charge my bank. The McDonald's of massage. They are definitely about quantity over quality. The prices are obscene if you are not a "member" or have the introductory coupon. The membership is a monthly fee which affords a discount on one massage and basically you end up getting one free massage a month. I gave this place a try for about six months and decided to go elsewhere. The thing to keep in mind is that the majority of the therapists are newly licensed and just fresh out of massage school. This is the place they go to learn while on the job and once they have two to three years experience they move on. For me, I would rather seek out someone who has already established themselves. I was able to see the same therapist each time I went but, I had to find out when she was working otherwise you are assigned an available therapist. Bodywork is such a personal thing and it is more important to work with one person if you like the flow and modality they work in. Another reason why I would seek out a massage elsewhere. As far as the place itself, it was always clean and the front desk staff was always courteous and polite. I never had any problems with credit card billing or mishandling of my CC info. My final thought is that there are better places to go if you are looking for long term benefit from massage. Seek out a more seasoned therapist. read more

ABSOLUTELY THE BEST! I travel for work from NY to NC and have found the Massage Mecca in the High Point Location. This shop is extremely customer oriented. Manager is very client focused and it shows. Front staff is phenomenal and Massage Technician, Lanette, gave me the best massage, hands down, that I've ever had- ANYWHERE. She offers medium to deep pressure that will leave you feeling like a brand new person. I may have drooled. I really cannot say enough about this spot. Having been a Massage Envy client for several years, I'm now plastered to this center as every other massage I've received simply pales in comparison to High Point. I showed up to my appointment 20 mins before the scheduled time to fill out the paperwork (which is mostly all the same paperwork I filled out online). I got called back at 2:01 for my hour long massage quickly go over what I'm looking for and gave me quite a bit of time to get undressed. The receptionist told me I'd be able to control the music and heat of the table. When I got under the covers the heat was cranked way up. I looked for a way to turn it down but didn't see one so when the masseuse came in I asked them to turn down the heat, they did, then put a heating pad on my back. Whatever I guess it's part of their process. So best estimate the massage started at 2:10. I asked for deep tissue and should have said to go harder but it was mostly medium except for a few minutes/areas. The massage in general was mediocre at best and was never asked during the massage about the pressure or if there was anywhere she needed to work on specifically, which I know isn't a standard, but is nice and is common at other places I get massages. Then I was told I was done, looked at the clock in the room and it was 2:52. They say on the website that you'll get at least 50 minutes of hands on massage. But overall I'd say I was lucky if it was 40 mins total. I will not be going back. read more

This company has the WORST customer service. DO NOT sign a contract. It's left to each employees discretion how masks are worn during your massage. This should be a policy that's the same across the board So a customer knows what to expect each time they come in. one employee wanted me to wear a mask face down and if I didn't she would not work on me. As a professional strength athlete, I have many aches and pains that come sporadically. Although, we have a massage therapist on staff she's not always available for each athlete. So, it is good to know that I can use this service; and it's open to me when I need it as opposed to when it's available. They listen effectively & perform with understanding as to which muscles need to be worked on and which muscles needs to be stretched and they very good at their jobs. I normally use Chasity or Mike. However, in the evening it's better to walk in than call on the phone... they rarely pick up the phone. read more

The entire building was spick and span, atmosphere was relaxing, colors and lighting were easy on the eyes. room was cozy, loved the warm tables! Lynette was my therapist and if I could give her more stars, I would!! The pressure and intention of strokes were therapeutic, relaxing and on point! This last time I went I was able to get a deal from a friend. Normally, their prices are around 49.00 for a new client and then they try and offer you a monthly membership which entitles you to a massage a month, but if you go every 6 months, they will give you the introductory price for the massage. I've been a member here for many years. They were great at first but, over time it has become very disappointing. The "hour" massage is actually 50 minutes. It's difficult to find a good therapist and whenever you find a good one, they end up quitting. I always get a new therapist who gives "deep tissue " because after the first couple of times, they no longer give deep tissue. At least 2 maybe 3 times in the past year, they have canceled on me on the day of my massage citing that the therapist had an emergency. Yesterday, they canceled on me less than 2 hours before my appointment. If you don't cancel your appointment 24 hours before your appointment, you are still charged. When they cancel suddenly on you, then you get nothing. read more

By far one of the best decisions I've ever made to improve my well-being is a regular massage. The next best decision was to choose Massage Envy in High Point, NC. I have had massages from many of the therapists there and I've never had a bad massage and I've been going for over a decade. I have to say that my favorite massage technique and therapist is Twan, whom I affectionately refer to as Dr. Twan. I simply tell him where my problem areas are and he manages those as well as the consistently fantastic massage I get every other week. Added to that is a fantastic staff managed by a new manager which has taken the time to get to know the clientele to ensure a completely satisfying experience from the massage to overall customer experience. If I knew how to nominate this location as the best Massage Envy in all the US, I certainly would. Their deceptive practices should be investigated and they should be shut down. They are scam artists and thieves!!! After the first month my husband went to cancel and they told him it would be. 9 months in they continue to mislead him and due to the continuously changing staff recount what the other person says. If I am not happy with the service then I should be able to get out with a fee which I feel like I have paid. Allie at the front desk was professional, relatable & in NO way pushed the membership program. Marcus, my massage therapist was truly the BEST I have ever had ~~ EXCEPTIONAL !!!! His quiet, calm demeanor was perfect (I tend to be a chatter and then regret not just relaxing !!) and his technique was AMAZING !!!
