I was a little hesitant at first but after seeing such good reviews on TikTok and the first 30 minute session being free I just had to give it a try for myself I was having terrible back pains before going here but Jaedyn worked her magic and my back started feeling better almost instantly after my stretch. Jaedyn was absolutely wonderful, very informative and walked you through the entire process. I felt so refreshed when I left. Everyone was so attentive and (best of all) seemed happy to be there. I called ahead of time, and they confirmed that in my situation they would call an oral surgeon…read more Instead, they relabeled an exposed bone as "dental pain" to avoid EMPLA liability and discharged me without care. Now I'm dealing with possible heart failure because the infection from the exposed bone likely spread to my heart and has already caused an infarction -- exactly what I was actively trying to prevent. I did not know my bone was exposed. My medical condition -- the one I'm on disability for -- includes loss of feeling in certain areas. My last dental exam was good except for medically necessary orthodontic treatment I was working through administrative barriers to get. The affected area was not visible during normal dental care. I could not figure out why I had been sick for months off and on. When I investigated further, I found that a tooth had broken through the jawbone, leaving the bone and the root exposed. The infection was already systemic. I called Wakefield immediately and explained the situation. They told me they would call in an oral surgeon and address the infection promptly. So I made the hour‑and‑a‑half drive. I showed the triage nurse, who confirmed it was serious and checked me in. Then I was placed in a makeshift curtain room, and they decided they did not want to call the surgeon after all. To avoid EMPLA liability, the staff changed "systemic infection with exposed bone" to "dental pain." Keep in mind I do not have feeling in that area -- I told them that -- so this was not even a possible mistake. They brought me discharge papers without further evaluation, treatment, labs, or anything. They handed me discharge papers with the problem relabeled to mischaracterize my situation. When I tried to show them the discrepancy, I was reframed as hostile. I was discharged in a dangerous and untreated medical state. Now I've had a recent infarction (heart attack) because the exposed bone remained untreated longer and the infection was ignored longer. I finally received antibiotics and had the area cleaned and covered by another hospital, but the infection is now in my heart and my life is in danger while another hospital tries to sort this out.

Of the three experiences I've had with extended PT at three different PT facilities, Break Through far exceeded the care and services provided by the others. Cheryl and her team have helped me recover my mobility, range of motion, and strength in just a few months following rotator cuff surgery. Despite the severe tendon tears I had, with a very good surgeon's skills and the great assistance from Cheryl and her team to guide me through PT, the surgeon said I am recovering much better than expected. I highly recommend Cheryl Pfruender and the Break Through PT team at the Westbrook Plaza Dr. location. They provide a safe and friendly atmosphere in which to recover and rebuild your strength and will encourage and motivate you through each session.

Novant is not my first choice in medical care overall. But this particular facility takes horrible interactions to the highest level. I am one that firmly believes that if as a customer your experience is bad you should quietly leave. Unfortunately, when it comes to medical you are pretty much a prisoner of a few options. Before I chose to review this facility I visited several times to be sure it was not just one off day. It was not. While the therapy person was helpful and very nice. The receptionists were absolutely horrible. They act like people who hate their jobs and have no reason to help the people coming for treatment. Furthermore, it is unlikely to improve based on NOVANT's overall experience in the past.

Long story short, we were in Winston Salem for a few days this week. Mary Ann made room for me, gave a full exam, gave me simple exercises to work on at home, and I have been pain free for 24 hours, and counting. Mary Ann is going to give me a referral to a PT closer to my home to continue my recovery. My experience is she is top notch! She knows her way around an injury. I have been seeing a chiropractor for several weeks, with not much improvement. One hour with Mary Ann and I am feeling fit. I walk again with no pain whatsoever. I would recommend Triad PT very highly.

Do wish they had a pool but the sauna is option is nice. I think they offer childcare as well. And as their membership grows, looks like they'll hosting more events which is a big draw for me. I did the 21 day free trial and was extremely close to signing up fully, but I have a gym in my complex with similar equipment. However, places like O2 (Lifetime, Equinox etc) are much more than a gym, they are an ~experience~ I don't think most people go solely to work out or train, they go for the elevated service/treatment, community, motivation from/of being around others etc. And you definitely get that here at O2. Pricewise is what you would expect from a facility of this caliber, but their prepaid packages do get you some decent savings. The operations staff is nice and friendly - sales people can be a bit aggressive but that's to be expected. Overall, I'd recommend this as a first choice to anyone who does not have a home gym or something readily available in their complex. Can't beat the location either - perfect for working out and running errands before or after.

The Rehab Center is located in the same building with Novant Health Orthopedics and Sports Medicine, and share the same beautiful, clean, and comfy lobby, reminiscent of a log cabin. Once you enter the door, Kenisha, the receptionist, is just off to the right. She has a welcoming personality that is infectious.
