He truly saved the day (and my sanity!) during a stressful situation late at night. Around 11pm, I accidentally locked my keys in the ignition with the car still running -- and my dog was stuck inside too. (Don't worry, the temperature was perfectly safe for him!) I was alone, in an industrial business park parking lot, as a small 32-year-old woman just trying to figure out what to do. Google listed a handful of "open late" locksmiths near me, so I called the first three before One Stop -- and every single one told me they wouldn't come out at that hour. The earliest they could get to me was the next morning... while my dog was locked in my running car. To top it off, they all quoted me a minimum of $200, which I expected may be higher due to the late hour, but still felt excessive considering the simplicity of the job. Thank GOD I kept calling, because it led me to Vijay at The One Stop Locksmith. The second he picked up the phone, he was kind, calm, and ready to help. He didn't hesitate for a moment about the time -- he immediately rushed out to me without any judgment or delay. When he arrived, he reassured me everything would be okay, and within 5 minutes flat he had my car open safely, professionally, and without causing a single scratch or issue. Not currently happy with the service but will update the review if they make it right…read more For starters, they seem to operate under multiple names in order to avoid bad reviews or at the very least subcontract work to other vendors which makes accountability and customer service frustrating. On a positive note, their service was very fast, technician was with me a couple hours after I called. When he arrived, he had to enter my vin number into a system. I figured this would give him the exact key my truck needed. He showed me a couple different key options and we discussed how my truck had remote start in addition to typical lock/unlock/panic buttons. He showed me a key option prior to him programming it which I later learned had a tailgate button, not a remote start button (Neither of us caught this but he was the professional). I was not with him when the service was finished so I paid him via Venmo and didn't test the key out until later. When I tested the key the remote start did not work. The physical key was also not cut which I need in order to lock the glovebox. And the fit/finish of the dashboard was not great since he had to access this in order to reprogram the trucks key security system. I'm working with the technician and company to try and resolve the issues but it's been tougher than anticipated. Main phone line, (980-351-1758), forwards to what sounds like a foreign call center. Will update the review if they make things right.
