Way over charged me I refused the $667.00 charge to open my bedroom door that was accidentally locked. They are scammers because online it said $29 service call plus $48.00 to $150.00. I'm reporting them to NC Locksmith is is a crime to rip people off. read more

Not currently happy with the service but will update the review if they make it right. For starters, they seem to operate under multiple names in order to avoid bad reviews or at the very least subcontract work to other vendors which makes accountability and customer service frustrating. On a positive note, their service was very fast, technician was with me a couple hours after I called. When he arrived, he had to enter my vin number into a system. I figured this would give him the exact key my truck needed. He showed me a couple different key options and we discussed how my truck had remote start in addition to typical lock/unlock/panic buttons. He showed me a key option prior to him programming it which I later learned had a tailgate button, not a remote start button (Neither of us caught this but he was the professional). I was not with him when the service was finished so I paid him via Venmo and didn't test the key out until later. When I tested the key the remote start did not work. The physical key was also not cut which I need in order to lock the glovebox. And the fit/finish of the dashboard was not great since he had to access this in order to reprogram the trucks key security system. I'm working with the technician and company to try and resolve the issues but it's been tougher than anticipated. Main phone line, (980-351-1758), forwards to what sounds like a foreign call center. Fast and Respectable great service nice guys came thru in the clutch for me appreciate the responsive service

Beware! We contacted Keyway Locksmith for help and they sent out someone who had no affiliation with them. My wife didn't realize they take calls and subcontract they work out. There was a communication barrier and the tech did not provide a cost before doing anything. Ultimately, we got swindled out of $375. He drilled our doorknob to gain access into the house, so on top of the $375, I had to buy and rekey a new doorknob. I had an uneasy feeling about this tech, but my toddler was hungry and had been outside for some time. Had I known that is what was going to be done, I could have broken it myself for free. To top things off, the subcontractor (24/7 Locksmith-that's what was on the letterhead) mobile deposited our check that evening. He held onto it and tried to re-negotiate it again 5 months later. Using Keyway Locksmith was a huge disappointment. We felt taken advantage of by the contractor they sent to our home. Edit to add: I emailed Keyway Locksmith after their contractor tried to re-negotiate our payment a second time. I was told they no longer deal with that contractor and was offered a credit. read more

I called This place, I November 6. All I want is them to do it's too was to Install A Door knob and deadbolt that I bought at lowe's. This guy's showed up pretty fast. Started complaining that he drove 15 minutes to get to my house. I could not hardly understand what he was saying. Being that he was talking in broken language maybe russian. Before he even gave me a price. He started to put the lock on my door I had to stop on to ask mom how much money it was going to be. He tells me the price and then he proceeds to work. I'm the door This guy knew nothing about being a locksmith and I mean nothing. First He was telling me that day. Provided the wrong screws that they were too big. I had to correct him and show him that they fit. Then He was telling me that they did not lineup right? I had to show him how to. Adjust the lock mechanisms. I think he tried for maybe 60 seconds to install it and tell me he could not do it. It was the wrong kind of lock. So he asked me if Wanted to buy one-off of him. I told hom to go ahead. He starts installing some cheap garbage that you. What's gonna put on my door and I spotted It wasn't the type of lock that I wanted I tried to explain to him. That's not what I wanted. I had to stop and from doing the work. I'm not gonna pay for something. I don't want. When I was trying explain to him what I wanted. He kept getting louder and mad or at me. He was very very rude. Finally I had it with him. And I told him to take his stuff and leave. I would not pay him. The service fee all he did was come over and aggravate me. Beware of this company, please don't use them. It's not worth the aggravation. I can go on and on about what he did wrong. But I don't think I need to do that. Just don't use these people. The only reason I gave them one star. Because it did not give me the option to give them. No stars at all they don't deserve it. read more
