I was pretty nervous, but Courtney is a MASTER and made the whole process easy and stress free! She absolutely nailed the natural look I wanted, and I am obsessed with my results. Lokal Salon has been open for about 5 years in the heart of Midtown, is female owned and operated, and SO CUTE inside. Being a blonde and going grey, she does a great job and I usually don't have a terrible bumpy reaction or too many ingrown hairs.(I know seems like TMI but if you wax a lot you KNOW that's important info!) Laura is really friendly and welcoming, super professional, and always flexible with her scheduling including offering some evening and weekend appointments. The salon itself is small and nice, located conveniently behind Black Hole and across from The Brasserie. Parking can be tricky but we usually come in the evenings, so it's not an issue.

We discussed what we were going to do and I felt like we were absolutely on the same page. Chunky beach blond vibes! I already had 3/4 of my hair bright happy blonde. after washing I looked down at my ends and was pretty shocked to see dark!!!! NOT ONCE DID I REQUEST dark anything!! I mentioned it to her she said it's just still wet. She turned me away from the mirror and finished drying. I was horrified to see a strip of almost white "money piece" jagged across my forehead. and then mostly dark hair!!! Now that it's been a couple days, a friend said it looks like dirty mop water!!! It's grayish brown and dull!!! I was tearful while checking out and she just continued to gaslight me and told me to give it a few days. And still felt fine charging me with tears in my eyes!! Horrible woman!!! The next day I requested a refund and she said she would be willing to fix the money piece and that would probably make everything else better. No it absolutely would not. I would not let her touch my hair ever again. She does not care. She didn't do anything even remotely close to what I asked. Over all bad and fake human. Stealing peoples hard earned money.

To be honest, I am not someone that usually care about getting my nails done and could last forever without ever getting my nails done. But I met Jessica while getting my hair done at Gossip Salon Studio, and to this day , because of Jessica I will continue to have that hour of me time to get my nails done. Any design I show her and she makes it happen. I was so used to going to any other salons for mainly acrylics but I learned about Gel X because of Jessica. Ever since getting Gel X , I am seriously so impressed with how strong Gel X actually is and the fact that it is not as damaging to my natural nails compared to acrylics. I now trust Jessica enough to be my main nail artist here in Reno/Sparks and I could not be any more happier.
