I am extremely fortunate to have people in my life who are willing to assist me financially. Unfortunately, that's not the case for most individuals, which is why I am writing this review--to warn others. I was shocked to be charged nearly double my initial estimate at the end of my appointment. I received no advance notice of the increased charges, and the final price was revealed to me only at the end, leaving me no choice but to pay; after all, I couldn't return my hair. As evidenced by my photos, I had only booked for a balayage, blow dry, and style--without a haircut. This amounted to $228, or $259 if I selected the correct finish (see note at end**). I was more than willing to pay this amount, and even a bit more, given that I knew the price I was given was just an estimate. However, I was ultimately charged nearly $400 before tip. While I acknowledge that I didn't specifically ask for a price quote at the beginning of the appointment, I never could have anticipated that my final bill would exceed the initial quote by so much. I didn't incur additional cost due to purchasing extra products or services. Instead, I was charged more because I have thick hair and because I had services I did not book added on without my knowledge or consent. To elaborate, I was charged a $51 "45-Minute Finish" fee. As shown in my photos, I did not book this service and did not agree to it. I refused every additional product and service they tried to sell me. Additionally, I incurred a $29 fee every time color was mixed (totaling ~$150). I was never informed I would pay more each time product was mixed for me, nor was I even told when new product was mixed. So clearly, when I received the bill showing a startling $150 charge, I was not just blindsided; I felt deceived. My hair does look good; my review is not about the quality of the product. My stylist was so very kind and obviously knows what she is doing. Because of this, I redacted my hair stylist's name out of all the documentation. I know that she is not in charge of how much people will be charged, and I would not like her name to be associated with my poor review. I strongly urge you to reconsider your charging practices. This practice is unbelievably unethical. I should have been informed of price increases at the time of service, before it being done so that I would have the ability to reject these additional charges. Instead, I was left in the dark as to the actual service amount and was then left with no other option than paying FAR more than what I was prepared to. The current practice not only harms the stylists, who may miss out on tips, but it also significantly impacts those with limited disposable income. Imagine someone who has saved just enough to treat themselves to a visit to your salon, only to be unexpectedly confronted with charges they cannot afford. This scenario forces them to sacrifice essential needs in order to cover expenses they never agreed to yet have no choice but to pay once they are disclosed at checkout. ** I did make the mistake of selecting the wrong finish option when booking (I chose the medium length blow dry and style, instead of option 9, the " Extra Long Length Blow Dry & Finish") However, even if I had, that would have only made my total $259. read more

I used to love this place but their prices have gotten to be outrageous! I have nothing negative to say about the customer service or the hairdressers. They are all very nice and highly skilled. However, I used to pay $150 for partial highlights and I'm now being charged $277-$310 for PARTIAL highlights. This is before tip. I asked why the price varied and my response was that if I need to process a little longer it would be more money. It has become unaffordable and I'll be looking elsewhere unfortunately. read more

I just read the nightmare that someone had at this place very similar to mine. Erin is rude, arrogant and so unprofessional. Do not give your money to this place. I spent 32 years in Washington DC at the finest salon. This place should be shut down. I will continue leaving reviews on Google and citing my case. They change prices on you, they charge you per minute you're late. I was in a car accident and had a wash and blow dry and they were going to charge me. I couldn't believe it. The owner is so rude. I just could not believe this place. I really have never in all my life ever had a hair place treat their customers this way. I don't know how they're in business. I will make sure I continue to give them one star reviews because I love good people And they are not. The owner is awful.... it's awful. I was quoted a price of 199 to 250 on the phone for the hair dye job that my daughter wanted for her prom. When we got there, the price jumped up by $125. I was able to work with them on price somewhat. And I was very specific with them on the phone about what we had and what we wanted when receiving the first price quote. So for a total of $325 we had a very inexperienced young lady doing a partial die with very uneven patchy look all while trying to sell us a basket load of products that we were made to carry upfront to the register. We will never be going here again. We were able to fix her hair and get somewhat close to what she had wanted originally for 50 more dollars at Ulta Beauty. They are amazing! I've been coming here for a year and a half now. They have a really squared away operation (professional front desk, amenities like snacks/coffee/water, appt reminders, retail). I see Maria for hair, cut and color, and brows. She does the most meticulous job ever on brow shape and wax, they always come out looking great and not thinned out. Very talented colorist (I get balayage). And I'm not great styling my own hair so always asking for lots of advice which she gives. Services are on the pricey side but this is a boutique salon, not a hair cuttery, and I have truly found with salons you get what you pay for so I have made peace with that and made this my home salon. The esthetician side of the house (facials) is great too. Stylists seem happy to be there, cheerful, good team spirit, so that makes visits pleasant as well. read more

I had a 12:30 appointment. I arrived 15 minutes early and sat directly in front of the hairdresser. She acknowledged my presence. She finished with the current client. She then proceeded to fold towels, talk to other clients and fix her hair. I rent to the receptionist and asked if I had my time correct because it was now almost 1:00. She said yes. I told her that this was terrible customer service and that I was leaving. I was totally ignored and no one asked why I was still waiting after a half hour. I was called after I left and was offered to come back. I asked for a discount due to the bad customer service and was told no by the manager. I did not go back. I felt invisible at the salon, they ignored me, and obviously did not want to keep me as a customer and does not care about customer retention. Poor Customer Service!!! read more

I am able to go in with an inspiration picture and she can get my hair to look exactly the same. She is super sweet and great to talk to while she's doing my hair. I got my haircut yesterday and 10/10 would recommend this salon- especially Hannah. The salon is very clean and has a modern feel. Hannah gave me the haircut that I wanted, after seeing a reference photo. I only got a simple shampoo, cut, and blow dry, however my experience was fantastic. Scam pricing. I was charged DOUBLE the price I was given before my appointment due to "over time fees," despite the fact that I didn't want to be there two whole hours for a bangs and some layers in the first place. I am NOT at fault for the stylist taking long. At first I thought she was taking her time and being thorough, but now it feels like a slap in the face knowing she likely was dragging the appointment out on purpose. The audacity to add made up charges, DOUBLING the original price is ludicrous and a scam. If they continue to trap customers into paying more than discussed, they can easily get sued. I'm sure the place would be great if they didn't try to suck money out of customers in any sketchy way they can find. When asked for clarification on the charge, I was met with no explanation and told the price would not be changing. It took my mom calling over and over and advocating for me before they agreed to refund the bogus fee. read more

Had a poor experience with eyelash extensions. Loved the woman who did them, didn't like how they turned out. Ended up going somewhere different the next day to have them removed. Trend Salon called to ask how they could make it right. Offered me a refund if I came back into their salon. Drove over an hour for that refund only to have to wait for another hour for them to tell me they wouldn't give me a refund. Best they could do was 50% in-store credit. ​That is not what I was told on the phone and that was not what I wanted. If I had wanted products I would have accepted that offer over the phone. Never would have made that drive again if I was going to be treated that way and refused a refund. Will never use this salon again or recommend it to anyone else. read more

I got a caramel, golden balayage done and Teniya worked with me throughout the whole process.
