This was my first time getting a lash lift and I found this place from Google reviews. My esthetician was Ciera and she was awesome. Super easy to talk to and also was a perfect balance of small talk and relaxation. The salon is cute, it's a hair salon and then there's rooms in the back where Ciera does lash stuff and more. The bed was really comfy to lay on and was also warmed which was a nice touch. The entire process was about 45 min and Ciera was very thoughtful throughout making sure I was comfortable. I didn't have any discomfort, she did a great job and I loved the outcome. She said they last about 6 weeks to which I was impressed by! As someone who has shopped around for the best place for hybrid lash extensions here in Charlottesville, I can say without question , Laura at Holladay Spa is the best! They look full and gorgeous but not fringey or fake when she's finished. She can easily pick the best length for you without weighing down or damaging your natural lashes. She is also very knowledgeable about skin care products and gives the best spa facial I have ever had. Brooke at Holladay Spa is a delight. She's my go to for all of my hair needs. She makes my hair look exactly as I describe at somehow half the time of some other places I have visited. She even helped me out when I damaged my hair with a heat styler on my own (whoops). Ciera has been styling and coloring, highlighting my hair for many years. Ciera is great with color and low lighting or highlighting. She always does a perfect job and I receive many compliments. I love that Ciera really listens to me and makes great suggestions for certain cuts and colors that I want to try. I am excited that she joined the staff at Holladay Spa. Just got my very first wax here, and I cannot say how bad it was NOT! I had so much anxiety about it, but Laura was super sweet, super accommodating and finished it up very quickly! I scheduled my first appointment with their online system. When I show up for the appointment, the front desk worker tells me that the person is out of town, and the system has been automatically booking people for a few weeks in the future. What?! That was not at all clear when using their online system, where I clearly checked the date on a calendar for an appointment, selected a time and received an affirmative confirmation that the date/time selected would work. It was time to find a new stylist to replace the person I'd been seeing for 10 years, since she couldn't manage the kind of contemporary and fun hair I wanted to do. It has always been daunting to find a new stylist; I wear my hair very short, and any mistakes are glaringly apparent, so making the right decision about whom to use is a very big deal. I spent several hours over several days considering salons in Charlottesville, and just wasn't happy with the stylists I was finding. If you have longer hair, it's not that difficult; there seem to be several very competent stylists to work with your hair, regardless of texture. But, if you want something short and edgy and fun, go fish. After leaving it alone for a while, came back and tried a new term in the search engine, and voila!, Brooke Gildner popped up. As soon as I saw her picture, I KNEW I'd found my new stylist. I immediately scheduled an appointment with her and didn't even lose any sleep the night prior to my appointment; I just knew she'd do a great job (I have had sleepless nights before seeing new stylists, I'm sorry to say). Fortunately for me, I was right. She is just amazing. I have what I'd call a modified Mohawk, not quite shaved on the sides with the shape I wanted for the remaining hair. I LOVE LOVE LOVE it. In addition to being very competent with her tools and methods, she is wonderful about answering questions; I do my own color for financial reasons, and Brooke has been wonderful about helping me to understand how to do what I want to do with my color in the most beneficial manner (it's way too easy to damage your own hair with bleach). In addition to being a very competent stylist, Brooke has a warm, calm, happy demeanor. I could not be happier with her and look forward to many years of working together. If you are looking for someone who can do fun hair, or even just regular-but-done-right hair, she's your gal. read more

I love this place and Laura so deeply. This was the first place I ever got a bikini wax (there's a coupon for your first service at their website) and it was such a good experience. Laura is great to chat to and very accommodating. Once I had a service on a very snowy day and I called ahead to make sure it wouldn't be cancelled and that I wouldn't have to drive in the snow. She was in constant contact with me so that when someone cancelled earlier in the day I was able to get in before the snow started!
