This was my first time visiting Trellis spa at the Houstonian! My experience was great from beginning to end. My masseuse listened to what I wanted and delivered! The facility is beautiful and love the services everyone provides. They give you complimentary items as well to make your visit more comfortable. The water amenities was my favorite part they have a warm pool, hot pool and cold plunge pool. You can also order food and beverages. I will definitely be back! Keep in mind gratuity is automatically included to ensure your masseuse receive a tip.

Had such a great experience with the gel manicure service. Linda was so sweet and has such amazing attention to detail. I don't have much in the way of nails yet she still went above and beyond to spend time shaping them and making sure they are perfect! Wish I lived closer so I could see her more frequently! Also a beautiful facility with such helpful women at the front desk!

Nestled on large sprawling wooded grounds, near a country club, lies this massive spa, tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the city. My friend who was visiting from out of town had made a reservation for herself. I decided to spend some time with her. And enjoy a relaxing experience, so I made myself a resy as well. I noted all of the reviews that had said this place was falling off. And that regulars were disappointed by the change. So I went in with eyes wide open. This was my first visit, so I had nothing to compare it to. So, I'll base my review on a few components (similar to my food reviews). Massage - Vanessa was my therapist, I think she was partially deaf, as she had what looked like a cochlear implant. Super easy to communicate with. She was great. She listened to my desperate plea for relaxation. She gave the pressure I desired and did not just do what she wanted to do. While it was a little bright with lights in the room, overall a positive experience. I love that they had 3 different oils I could choose from. I chose the relaxing sent. I also love that I had control over the music, there is multi different categories, and I chose the most relaxing station I could find. Those were nice touches to me. Service- while I did not get a tour of all the grounds, I would have appreciated this as it was my first visit, and the place is so massive. Check-in and check-out were easy enough. My friend had an "attendent" with her, which she enjoyed. But FYI, there is an attendent fee for having them stay with you throughout the visit, which makes sense. There was staff inside the massive changing room that can assist you in finding your locker, getting you slides etc. So in my opinion, it was good service. Amenities - I wanted to enjoy the hot tub, but it was smaller than I expected. And there were already 2 people in there, so it was full. They do have a large outside area. But my friend was worried about mosquitos. So we stayed inside at the indoor wade pool. It was cold, sad. The upstairs waiting area is where they serve food/drinks while you wait for your services to start. My friends thoughts were similar to other reviews in that the place has changed, ans not as much "special attention to service" as she was used to have. FYI: They do charge an automatic 22-23% to the services for tip of the therapist. So you don't have to worry about calculating this at the end.

Another fabulous spa in the Houston area. Trellis Spa is located in The Houstonian Hotel and my friend wasn't lying when she said it was one of the best spas she's ever been to - and - one of the top rated in Houston! This place is great! I had the opportunity to play a bit of hooky from work in mid-October 2021 and took full advantage, booking the 50-minute CBD massage and relaxing at the facility on the stunning grounds complete with the soaking pools and garden, refreshing boozy popsicles, decent treats/appetizers, attentive service, awesome hot tubs and pools, and comfortable chairs! My 50-minute massage was great and I was truly relaxed all day long. I could have easily spent even more time at Trellis! My favorite, favorite spot was the Tranquility Room. I loved the variety of options - you can spend time inside relaxed in front of a fireplace or go outside and bask in the sun while soaking in a pool. Yes, their motto holds true - Trellis is unlike any spa in Houston! Highly recommend!

Light snacks, like cranberries and nuts are provided along with hot tea options, and citrus flavored water. The space is very nice. There are locker rooms with plush spa robes and complementary slippers. The locker room has two steam showers if you want to wash yourself after your massage. They also provide hair products to try as well as a Dyson hair dryer. I was definitely very impressed with the luxurious feel of the spa, however, was turned off by the receptionist who checked me in - her robotic, transactional nature was starkly juxtaposed against the warmth of the spa. I noticed she was the same with all customers so it wasn't personal but interaction with her was unsettling. I booked the 60min signature hydrafacial and the esthetician was welcoming and willingly customized my facial based on my requests. No major issues encountered but I noticed we started 10 minutes late and ended 10 minutes early so I thought marketing it as a 60min experience was a bit misleading. Also note the 60min Signature Hydrafacial does not include any hand/neck massages nor boosters nor light therapy so the $285 price was much more expensive than my usual spa. I will not return for another facial but may try massage in the future. We also booked pedicures and again the space is beautiful!! We were given a palette to select colors and the ladies were extremely friendly! My toes came out adorable! I found the seating to be very uncomfortable for a short person despite many pillows placed behind me for support so I honestly struggled to enjoy the experience but the space was very nicely decorated and clean looking. We were offered tea and snacks at the beginning as well. Overall, this was a very nice spa. I found it fairly expensive and overpriced, but I recognize beautiful spaces have a cost and that's what I should've expected in the River Oaks area. There is complementary validated parking!

It was relaxing, calm, and the pressure was actually perfect for the tightness in my back. Me and my partner really enjoyed that part of the experience. The wax service is where I had a different experience. I'm used to getting waxed regularly and haven't had issues in the past. I booked a Brazilian wax, and while the technician was nice, the service didn't go well for me personally. She went over the same areas multiple times, and it got to the point where my skin became very irritated. In one area, the wax caused my skin to lift and I did bleed, which has never happened to me before. She mentioned I may be sensitive, which I understand, but even so, I've never experienced that level of irritation or skin being pulled before. I also still had patches of hair left afterward, so I didn't feel the service was fully completed the way I expected. She did discount $10 from the service, but I still left feeling like the experience wasn't what I paid for or expected. The place itself is nice and the staff were polite, and I don't want this to come off as bashing anyone. I'm just sharing my personal experience so others are aware. Overall, I would return for the massage, but I personally would not get the waxing service again.

That shifted my IG algorithm to include things to do...and I've never been happier. I saw a video depicting their Hammam treatment where you hang out in steam, they soap you up, and then exfoliate you. Never done it, asked the wife, and I booked it. Glad we did, phenomenal experience. Detailed step by step of our experience to help the uninitiated know what to expect. 1. Online booking. Simple, fast, requires 20% deposit. 10/10. 2. Confirmation text to check if I needed to reschedule. 10/10. 3. We arrived 10 minutes early. Front door was locked but the desk attendant let us in quickly and relocked the door. Considering the level of undress we were about to be in, 100% on board with that. 10/10. 4. Check in and sit in these awesome high-back padded chairs while we wait. 10/10. 5. Quickly greeted by the staff who will be providing our treatment and led to a small changing room. There they instruct us to strip down and put on disposable underwear, a nice robe, and slide on sandals. I'm a big guy, so they switched out the 3 items for bigger versions. I was happily surprised they had a 4XL robe and sandals to fit my size 16 feet. The paper underwear was made of the same material as a dentist bib/disposable surgical gown, and covered what boxers would cover-down to mid/lower thigh. Wife's paper undies were more like a string bikini bottom. We were not quite sure what to expect, but it provided for an appropriate level of modesty. The room contained multiple lockers with keys so that we were able to secure our belongings. 10/10. 6. We were then led to a steamy room, removed our robes, and carefully helped up onto the padded platforms. Once seated we were rinsed with warm water and soaped up. Then they got us bottled water (cold or room temperature, our choice) and left us to steam in the the 103°F room. Sweat, sweat, sweat. They checked in a couple of times to make sure we were okay, which I appreciated. That steam was no joke. 10/10. 7. After maybe 10-15 minutes, we moved into another room that looked identical, rubber mats on elevated platforms. But this time we laid down and the treatments started. Warm water poured over body, light scrubbing of face, and some treatment painted on my face. Then it was really same thing over and over with different parts of the body. Pour water, scrub with the mits, and exfoliate years of dead skin. Years. 10/10. 8. The women who provided our treatments were great, social in response to our talking but not trying to talk the whole time. Gotta love that with any kind of spa treatment, let the client decide the talking level. At some point, she rinsed off the face treatment and scrubbed my face a little more. 10/10. 9. So they keep doing their thing, having us move arms, tilt neck, roll on side, etc., so that they can get to all of our parts. We'll, most. Going back to the distinct differences in our disposable underwear, wife got way more of her upper legs/buttocks scrubbed. My scrubbing stopped just above the knee and resumed above the waste. And honestly, I get why-guys can be/are creeps. It did leave, however, a large area of me unexfoliated. 9/10. 10. After that, had us sit up, more water pouring to rinse off the dead skin and touching up spots that needed a little more scrubbing. Once rinsed and cleaned, got a scalp treatment/shampooing. Nice touch. 10/10. 11. They helped us put our robes back on and we were led to our changing room were they did a rose water spritz and argon oil serum face treatment. We were then left alone to get dressed. 10/10. 12. Ended the experience in the Tea Room where we enjoyed wonderful hot Moroccan tea and some baklava. What a wonderful treat! Thanks for reading my novel. Hopefully it covered questions you might have if you have never had this experience before. We thought it was fantastic, and it is going on our growing list of "must-dos" when visiting Houston.

This is a great place to do either. The first hour and a half in the men's area rotating between the steam room, sauna hot tub and cold plunge, losing track of the time and just soaking it. The sauna and the steam room each held around 5 to 7 people, respectively. Fortunately I didn't need to push the capacity limits since the crowd was extremely light, especially for for a weekend. I strolled around and checked out the other rooms and the bulgama room was scorching hot, in the best possible way. Broken up into two different dome spaces - one hot and the other extremely hot with a fireplace- that had the cozy smell of burning wood. A fantastic sensory experience. I popped by the restaurant and the Bulgogi stew was delicious. Prices were comparable to being outside of the spa, and the quality was just as good. The food came out piping hot with a little kimchi and some potatoes and a small bowl of rice on the side. I have been to more than a handful of Korean Spas and the features that make this one stand out are: Clean smells- sounds strange to have to say this but Gangnam was clean but didn't smell like cleaning products. Each space had a unique scent based on the desired effect - cedar, burning wood, eucalyptus, etc. Comfortable uniforms - woven, soft terry cloth sets that breathed well and were easy to move in. Unique experiences in small niches- hand spa to massage your hands, foot spa with a pebble bottomed pool, plenty of lounge spaces, vibrating plates for muscle activation or relaxation, I honestly didn't have time to do it all. The staff = top notch. Friendly front desk crew gave a great first impression. The superstar was the gal who helped me decide on a tasty dish in the restaurant, providing great descriptions for all of the choices. After 4 full hours, I needed to go to my next meeting and had to leave. Nevertheless I left feeling relaxed and satisfied. Verdict: Check it out but be sure to give yourself at least 4 hours.

And this is why the rating drops to THREE STARS However, the spa's current approach to cell phone use raises serious privacy and safety concerns. Multiple guests were openly using their phones in treatment areas and even inside the locker rooms -- including taking photos and videos in spaces where individuals are undressed. Locker rooms are universally recognized as places where people have a reasonable expectation of privacy, and recording in these areas can violate that expectation, regardless of intent. Allowing phones in environments where guests are changing creates a real risk of non‑consensual photography or video, which can have legal implications and exposes patrons to harm. Businesses that operate locker rooms and similar facilities typically have a duty of care to protect guests from exactly this type of privacy intrusion. I strongly encourage the spa to implement and enforce a comprehensive no‑phone policy throughout all treatment and locker room areas. A spa should be a place where guests feel safe, respected, and able to relax without worrying about being filmed or photographed in private spaces. PLEASE KEEP this SPA classy, with privacy rules and keep the ghetto out the door!

Blossom Massage has all those, and has been around for a decade-plus with a great reputation. Dunno WHAT took me so long to check them out, but I recently bought a couples massage (which included all-day pool access) as a Christmas gift for my beau. We planned on getting there an hour before our massage to enjoy the hot tub (they requested that we call ahead to let them know and get the heat going). Our massage started promptly on time, and we both opted for deep tissue. I had Deanne, who specializes in Swedish and deep tissue massage (according to her bio on the website)... and let me say she has some STRONG hands. She found all my tension and pain-points and loosened me up. I was honestly a bit sore for days, but in a good way. A great reminder I need to take care of my body post workouts and after long days at the desk... My biggest feedback for them would be to have more info on their website about the pool access and what's offered (towels, robes) and how long we have pool access (it's all day, btw). Before booking, I had to call to get that info; it's be more convenient to add all of that info to their FAQ page. They also allow you to bring snackies, so I brought a fruit, cheese, and tinned fish spread. Also, wondering if they had hot tea service. That's always a nice touch post-massage. Looking forward to booking again!

Unless you're buying add-ons, the place is mostly saunas, one cold room, and the gender specific bath houses. Consider yourself warned. It feels in there what I assume being on fire might feel like at its beginning stages. The food looked nice but some of it was wildly expensive. $8-9 for one coffee? $4-6 for a hot tea? Ehh, I passed. I enjoyed the bath house/locker room area. The showers were nice, lots of diff pools to chose from that each served different purposes, the wrap around mirrors, body lotion, hair dryers, etc... it was great! They even had attendants in there where you could buy items or services from them. I saw many girls buying face masks. It was very zen in there. While the pools were still warm, they were not at their normal temperatures, and the showers were also affected. As a result, they offered a 15% discount on the day pass. When you arrive, you must remove your shoes and place them in a locker before you can check-in. After check-in, you will receive a locker key that matches your shoe key and an outfit for the common areas. Since this is a traditional Korean spa, the locker rooms and soaking areas are gender-segregated and nude-only, and phones are strictly prohibited in these areas. The facilities were clean and well-maintained. The locker room includes a concierge for scheduling services and a kiosk for essentials like socks and face masks. Before entering the bathhouse area, you must take a shower. The bathhouse features four hot tubs, a cold plunge tub, a dry sauna and steam room. One of the hot tubs and the steam room had a herbal infusion blend. The common area downstairs offered six different dry saunas, one cold room and a quiet zone for reading or napping. There is also a snack bar, daycare center and a sitting area. Upstairs they had additional amenities including an infrared room, two meditation rooms, a movie theater, virtual golf, and a bar. I spent four hours here and left feeling incredibly relaxed. If you are ever in the Houston area and looking to decompress, I highly recommend stopping by SpaWorld.

They confirmed the week before and again the day before. When I arrived I was taken to the dressing room and given a robe and slippers. I went to the quiet room while I waited on my technician. The quiet room was nice, I got champagne while I waited. My tech came right on time and had I thought about it, I would have arrived a little earlier to relax more. The pedicure was nice but quick, an hour, which is standard but the price was $101 before any tips. Just for the pedicure. No other services. Nice spa but too expensive for my tastes. A full day or multiple services would cost over $200. They also had a full selection of skin care items, hats and jewelry.

Then they give the option to slip a robe on and start you off with a complimentary drink ina waiting room to make me more curious. I chose mimosas and they were delightful. Got called just like you would a massage and I was taken in a room full of nail massage chairs like a normal nail salon but it was just me and the nail tech and she was super sweet! The chair did not have any pressure style options. Just taps which was a bummer. She did both the pedi and mani so you want to expect you'll be in there a while which I was told ahead of time which was nice so I could make sure I had that time (2 hours). Now, it wasn't a big massage style but the company made up for it and my nails turned out beautiful. She made sure to layer the nail polish to help keep them on longer. Definitely different from a typical nail salon but I definitely don't knock it and would come back again.
