I purchased a Groupon for a couples deep tissue massage with hot stones and hot towels at The Healing Path. To book the appointment, I called and spoke w/ Jose. Communication was somewhat difficult because he spoke very quickly and had a strong accent, but we were eventually able to schedule a weekday appointment. One thing that felt unusual was being asked to redeem my Groupon voucher over the phone before arriving, since most places typically redeem it onsite. Shortly afterward, I received a text confirmation for a Thai combo massage instead of the deep tissue massage I booked. I called back immediately, and Jose assured me the reservation was corrected. On the day of the appointment, we arrived about 10 minutes early. There is free parking available in the back, and the massage studio is a very small space located at the corner of the building with only three treatment rooms. The massage lasted about 55 minutes total with quite a lot of stretching. I was told to face up, down and even on my sides. The masseuse only used a hand towel to cover while I was turning. Despite being with my husband's presence, it felt awkward because the towel was too small and there was lots of time wasted on repositioning. We asked Jose about the stretching because it seemed more like a Thai massage than a deep tissue session. Due to language barrier, I understood that they incorporate stretching into their deep tissue massages as part of their technique. He also mentioned that if clients do not want stretching, they should let the therapist know beforehand. Since this was our first visit on deep tissue, we had no way of knowing that stretching would be such a large component of the massage. This is definitely not the typical Western deep tissue masaage that I have received in the past two decades and I typically get at least one massage weekly. My husband only got some leg stretches and he didn't need to move to the sides at all. Will I be back? Due to the close proximity, I would give this place a second chance but I will get a new therapist other than Alex. read more

I purchased a Groupon for a couples 60-minute deep tissue massage for $60 per person and had an okay overall experience. The location is conveniently located off Highway 59 near the Galleria and has a free covered parking garage behind the building. It's easiest to access from Westpark Drive. After parking, enter through the rear entrance, then on the first floor turn left at the elevators and walk to the end of the hallway to Suite 125. One thing to note: there are no restrooms on the first floor. The second-floor restroom requires a key, while the fourth-floor restroom does not. Check-in was easy, and Jose at the front desk was very friendly. The spa offers Thai, Swedish, deep tissue, and aromatherapy massages. The rooms were cozy with dim lighting and relaxing music. I especially appreciated the large massage tables since I'm 6'4" and could actually fit comfortably without my feet hanging off. The tables also have face openings for lying face down. My therapist, Glenda, gave good, strong pressure during the deep tissue portions of the massage, exactly what I wanted. My wife's therapist was Alex. The therapists communicated throughout the session about pressure and positioning. The studio has 3 rooms total; 2 for couples and 1 with a single bed. The only thing I'd mention is that the massage incorporated quite a bit of Thai-style stretching, including pulling, twisting, and leg stretches, which I didn't like. I was expecting a traditional full deep tissue session rather than a mix of deep tissue and stretching. My wife also noted it was her first massage ever where a therapist had her lie on her side for part of the treatment, which was different from previous massages she's had. They also offer a package of three deep tissue sessions for $180, matching the Groupon rate. Overall, the staff were friendly, the massage was good, and I'd return again. read more

Got a Groupon for this massage online. They were one of few places able to take 3 of us at the same time in separate rooms. We got there a coupe minutes late since it is a bit tricky to find the parking lot (no sign for the massage place). I believe you're supposed to call them to open the door to the garage for you since that seemed to be locked. The massage itself was pretty solid, combination Thai and Swedish massage. They did walk on my back and applied decent pressure. The towel is a bit smaller than the usual sheet that covers you. I was pleasantly surprised by the addition of hot stones and aromatherapy (which did trigger my allergies) but the room itself was kept a bit cool, left me shivering a bit since the towel can't cover my entire body. Overall, if I'm back in the area, I'd consider returning but definitely make sure to allow time to call them for assistance getting into the building. Plenty of parking on a Sunday (it's an office building so didn't seem like anything else was open) but that may be different during the week read more

Another great massage session at The Healing Path Massage! My massage therapist was Angel for a 90 minute session. Pressure was perfect as he checked in with me throughout the session. The ambience was nice as there was Valentine's decor in the room and waiting area. My season consisted of massage, hot stones, hot towels, and a little aromatherapy. This is not one of those chain spa places, but the quality of care is worth giving this gem a try. read more

Purchased a Groupon for a Couples Massage and invited my friend to join to give me their opinion also. The Groupon was awesome and very reasonably priced. We both agreed the masseuses provided the service we paid for but the quality could've been a bit better. Still it was decent but not as a memorable or lasting experience as I would've liked to want to return. The establishment and the ambiance was alright, I wish they would give a little more attention to the decor in the front space, it was so small and the desk area was pretty cluttered but it was clean however I'm not sure but something was itching my top area when I was laying facing down and couldn't breathe well as well. I was thankful when the masseuse asked me to turn over. The masseuse asked if there was an area I would like him to focus on and I did say back and upper shoulders and wish he would've given a little more attention to the focal area requested b cause knots were still there after leaving. Maybe I should've done a 90min instead of 60. Overall the experience was exceptional but still looking to find an establishment that checks all the boxes for me imo. read more

I would strongly caution anyone from purchasing any Groupons from this establishment. My daughter bought a massage here, and every time I called to schedule, there were never any appointments available. Why sell on Groupon if you can't accommodate the customers who purchase them? I spoke with Jose and Elizabeth, and the lack of professionalism and customer service was unbelievable. Jose promised to call me back the next day and never did -- I had to follow up myself and speak with Elizabeth just to try and get an appointment. Overall, this experience has been extremely disappointing and unprofessional. read more

This place was absolutely wonderful. I've always struggled with back pain especially in the scapula area so I finally decided to get a massage. Booking was a breeze a quick 5 minute call. Upon arrival was immediately taken to a room and the masseuse was in there no more than 3 minutes later. I asked for regular pressure and it was wonderful, I could have definitely gone for more. My highlight!!! I have been looking for ashiatsu in Houston for a while and I was surprised when I noticed the grab bars above the table. And was pleasantly surprised when they got used. I have always loved this massage type and will definitely return back here for this. Overall this was a wonderful experience. My masseuse was Angie and I will definitely be visiting this place again. read more

I got a Groupon for a 1 hour deep tissue massage with hot stones and hot towels booked for 4PM. Their site states that it is truly 1 hour with out undress or consultation time so they ask you to come 5 minutes early. I got there about 12 minutes early but the building was locked so I had to call to be let in. I think this would have been good to know in advance. I was then told to be seated and waited 5 minutes until after a couple came back from the bathroom and a patron came out of the massage room before I was given the consent form. It interestingly asked about massaging the breast area in women or opting out of draping. I was invited back to the massage room at 4:02. Another odd thing was that there was only a towel on the table to cover myself instead of a full sheet. My masseuse introduced herself and asked me to let her know if I didn't like anything. I love firm pressure but this deep tissue was not for the faint of heart. The pressure around my scapula was painful but I didn't say anything because I was curios of it would be therapeutic after. Instead of turning over to my front I was asked to turn on my side which wasn't the most comfy or stable for the massage. The pressure on my thigh was too much so I did ask her to go lighter there and she did. The hot stones were only used for a total of 2 minutes. The hot towels were used often and was nice. My massage ended at 4:56 so it was 6 minutes shy of the guaranteed 1 hour. However I felt great when I walked out. One last con is their music. They have a weird Disney princess instrumental mix playing from Amazon music and don't pay for premium so there's random and very loud ads that interrupt the music. They do have a special where you can but 3, 60 minute massages for $45. All in all, I'm not sure I would return as the music, towel, and side turning technique weren't comfortable for me but it was an effective massage. read more

8/10 Surprise Valentine's Day Massage at this lovely small business!! Y'all! I've had a bad kink in my back and my massage therapist got it out!! It was a toughhhh one but she did it with ease. I know her hands were tired after me She stretched me out sooo good! The only thing I didn't really like was that we're covered with a towel lol. They use multiple warm towels on your body throughout the process but I get cold easily lol and I'd rather have a full blanket. The staff was very sweet and welcoming. I'll definitely be back. read more

I would give this place ZERO stars. They offer services through Groupon just to take your money. DO NOT give this place business and do not purchase their services online! We called and called to schedule our appointment and never got any answer so I figured we could just walk in. Nope. We drove all the way over here just to have the door to the business locked and no one ever showed up. They have it posted that they are open but obviously aren't. We spent $120 on a couples massage for no reason. Go elsewhere. read more

I had a great massage. It was very relaxing and I plan to go back really soon. The atmosphere was amazing and

If I could give this place a rating less than 1 I would. They do not have sheets to cover your body, they have old dingy towels. It smells musty and the place was in an office building, which is very creepy at night. The masseuse did not speak very good English but I told her 5 times to please focus on my back and neck. She did not understand English well enough that even understand, so I pointed and she continued to rub the same areas. Prior to starting I told her strong/ heavy pressure. Before I knew it she was standing on my back. I rolled over and almost made her fall. The service was deplorable and I would not recommend this establishment to anyone. read more

When I saw "massage" I saw a great price and I bought it. I had no idea the type of relaxation that was ahead of me. This was my first time ever receiving a Thai Massage and the idea of feet on my skin usually creeps me out, but LUISA changes my entire perspective. Before I got undressed, the mood of the room begged me to release any stress that I had been holding on to. Soothing music played gently as an aroma therapy machine released calming scents into the air. When Luisa came in the room, half of the job had already been done, but she came to work, and that she did. This is a place that you can go and really let go of the world around you. The only thing that you are required to do is simply relax and let those magic hands and feet push, pull, and squeeze the knots out of you. Looking forward to making this an every month outing, my dreams have been sweeter since I left. read more

I purchased a Groupon for the healing path massage months ago, and unfortunately this location is across town. I purchased it for my girlfriend to attend while she was commuting to that part of town during the month of May. We call through the business hours to try and schedule an appointment, but have yet to have anyone answer or return a call. I am upset that they have already collected my payment and I'm not just around the corner to pop in a schedule an appointment. We keep coming back my husband and me because eveyone is so good and we always feel relaxed and renovated.

Did the couples Groupon for the Thai massage. Very relaxing and the ladies made sure the pressure was to our liking. Definitely will be back

False advertisement purchase on Groupon 90 minute massage +30 minute facial is what I purchased and I put a timer on my phone I got 90 minutes and the lady said no the massage and facial supposed to be together for 90 minutes for the massage and for the facial, but that was not what was advertised purchase tickets for my colleagues and they forced us to stay in a couples room together when paid for separate room when they reached out to make reservation for the massage location we asked for individual rooms they said ok upon arrival he said o we add someone else can y'all go in a room together the at sad the quality of the service was not good the atmosphere was skeptical. read more

I bought a Groupon couples massage in February 2020 and then COVID hit and we are just now able to go get our massages. Thankfully Groupon extended the expiration date of the massage by four months. It takes several tries calling and leaving voicemails before you finally get a hold of someone. The guy on the phone denied our voucher and said they don't accept them due to COVID not having the right personnel. He didn't even ask me what massage I had bought. They are open six days a week and nobody could give us our massage? So we got a refund from Groupon thankfully which is what the guy said we should do. I search Groupon for a new couples massage and low and behold this location is offering the exact same massage right now that he told me they are not offering! For $40 more than I bought it for originally, mind you. Remember that he never even asked what I purchased. It was a basic couples Swedish with hot stone and towels. So disappointed because the reviews were so good. Glad we aren't going and dealing with this business in person. read more

This is a great place to check out if you need a massage. I've been here a couple of times now and have been pleased with both experiences. Appointments are required, but they're much more flexible than a lot of other places. They're open till 10pm, and they have full hours on Saturday and Sunday. The location is in an office building off Southwest Freeway that isn't easy to get to. If you take the exit off the freeway while northbound, you have almost no time to get across for the entrance and you have to go around and enter the garage from the back way. The therapists are very good at what they do and can provide either a deep tissue or regular massage. On our first visit we went with the basic thai massage. On the second we tried out the shiatsu, which involved a bit of the therapist walking on my back. I've always wanted to try that. The only issue is that they tend to use a heavy amount of massage oil compared to other places. They were also selling 3-massage packages for $120 (basically buy 2 get 1 free), so my wife and I each bought a package. We'll definitely be coming back here. read more

First time there and it was nothing short of amazing! I will definitely be back! The staff was accommodating and very friendly!

My husband and I came for the hot rock massage and it was fabulous. Great attention to points that needed more attention and pressure. Backs were cracked. Reminded us of our massages in Thailand. Other reviewers say they were exposed and that was somewhat true, but our masseuses checked in to make sure we were okay with everything and did everything to make us feel comfortable.
