This wasn't my favourite. Booked through classpass and tried something new since I wasn't sure about power options in my area. I made sure to mention my areas of focus at the beginning- upper back and feet. I think I had Cindy. Pressure was fine but I felt like the movements were more erratic and jumpy so it wasn't the most relaxing massage per se. I'm actually still feeling a little bruised along my thoracic spine. Also, I was waiting patiently assuming she would work her way down and address feet- but instead she just spent time massaging whole legs and never even touched feet, which should be a routinely covered area anyway! read more

I've been coming to Healing Hands for 3+ years at infrequent same day appointments. Serivce is typically top notch; however, over the last few visits the service has truly dwindled. In this instance, I had an appointment for 1:30pm and within the first 30min of my 60 min appointment I had been given three different therapist as the therapist were either unable to perform deep tissue, was overbooked, and finally clerical error... The entire service was terrible so I elected to leave as I had already wasted 30 min of my massage for which management said they will add the time to the back end of my appointment. At that point, the service was not worth it so I elected not to continue. Terrible serivce. Terrible follow-up. Poor management. Inconsistencies within practice. For the price, save your time and go to a more prominent thearpist. read more

THIS PLACE IS THE BEST!! I cannot say enough good things about them. Every massage therapist is licensed and has years of experience. Before I started coming here, I had torn my MCL in my knee and had a grade 3 sprain in my ankle in the same year. Healing hands truly healed my pain from both of these injuries. I also have back pain from sitting at a desk and regular muscle soreness from exercise. I have been to multiple massage therapists and they ALL work wonders. My pain is gone and my body is prepared to prevent further injuries. I just got home from this place for a couples massage and we both were very impressed. We went after they've reopened after covid. They require a mask when you're facing up and the staff was all wearing mask. They took our temperature so they're trying to be as safe as possible. It's also pretty cheap but I really enjoyed the massage. I would definitely go back. We had Cindy and Lashonda and they both had the perfect amount of pressure. I feel great now! read more

Talk about being being hit or miss! It's a good massage place but I can't help but compare it to the Walking Dead series: intense episodes that knock you off your feet followed by mediocre episodes that put you to sleep. I've been here at least ten times and each visit is different than the next. You never know what to expect. Sometimes I walk out feeling great and other times I walk out feeling like it was a waste of money. The variable is your massage therapist. They have a bunch; some are really good and some are not. It's all the luck of the draw... What keeps me coming back: it's convenient location off 59 in the Greenway Plaza area and great hours. I love the fact that I can call in at 8PM and most likely get an appointment for that night. Prices are reasonable at $60 for an hour. I typically give them a $10-$15 tip which makes the final price $75. Lately I've been going to more speciality massage therapists that do trigger point or myofascia release. But for what it is, this place is still good and the staff is super pleasant to deal with. My overall grade: B- Note: If you want really hard pressure, get a male massage therapist. No matter how hard I tell the female therapists to go, they never go far enough. read more

I have horrible shoulder pains and the knots could punch you in the face. I decided to get into massages as the last few times at other places seemed to really help. Well Blossom wasn't open on Sundays so I decided to try this out. I got an appointment right away, literally there was no wait time. This made me skeptical because usually places that have staff sitting around twiddling their thumbs.. RED FLAG, but my shoulders were acting up again so I took a drive to the location. 90 minutes for $90 that includes hot stones in the price... too good to be true right? I know I couldn't believe it either but this place REALLY is THAT GREAT. The location isn't very spa like, but enough to get you comfortable. I thought it was fine, for the price point, I wasn't expecting high-end palm trees or anything. It is very basic, a room, low lights, towels and blankets. Joy JOY JOY JOY!! I asked for Deep Tissue and did the lady delivery. She is very funny and has this grandmother/mother like personality to her. I love that she DEMONSTRATES the knot before she removes them, much to my horrible THE PAIN! She then does her thing and DEMONSTRATES THE AFTER no more knot or now loser knots. They call it "cleaning." She really pays attention to your entire body and ensures that everything is worked on, to which again IN EXTREME PRESSURE AND CRAZY PAIN (but in a god way of course). After Joy, all the other "deep tissue" massages seem very fluffy. When I told her I was hurting, she said in a very loving way "it is good for you, I have to remove this big knot, you need more pressure, breath." She basically she ignored me but in a way that I felt like she really cared for me and boy did she delivery results. This place DOES NOT give fluffy massages. If you want something soft or fun, you shouldn't get Joy. SHE FIXES PROBLEMS EVEN THOUGH YOU ARE DISCOMFORTED, but I like that type of treatment because I paid good money to get HELP from the PAIN, if I wanted soft touches, I would pick Swedish massage and go to a spa. When I left, I was so relieved, the pain was gone, sore YES, MAJOR SORE, but no more pain. 24 hours later: While I am still very sore from the massage, which is very normal, there is no more pain and tightness. I was instructed to see her again very soon because of the severe shoulder issues but in NO WAY was she pushy or trying to sell me any packages. She just made me feel very loved, you know that saying love hurts... yeah.. but I am really glad that she is trying to help me so I can reduce my pain and get on the maintenance level massages. RECOMMENDED FOR EVERYONE who is IN PAIN AND NEEDS DEEP TISSUE. read more

This is the first time that I ever felt a need for commitment ^_^ My GOD! When they say healing hands, they mean HEALING HANDS! It really was hands down the best massage I've ever had! When I came to yelp this, I have to say that it is a bit surprising that only 4 people have yelped this place. What is going on?! Are we in the twilight zone?? I can't believe more people don't know about this place. Upon recommendation, I had Pam. Her hands were like magic. They knew exactly the right place to touch, with the perfect amount of pressure. Even after 90 minutes, her strength did not waver. I don't know if it's a Thai thing, but there were also some insane acrobatic stretching going on, which helped me stretch muscles that I never knew I had. It was INCREDIBLE. They say that anything that feels good is either illegal or fattening, but I think that we got lucky on this one.... so please go take advantage of it! read more

Yesterday morning, I scheduled an appointment with Thomas for later that afternoon. When I entered the building, the first thing I noticed was the smell. It smelled like sweet mint. It was really soothing. This was my first time there, so I filled out the paper work and then went back to the room the receptionist ushered me to. My massage was amazing!!! I originally scheduled a one hour massage, but when I got there the receptionist asked if I wanted to extend it to an hour and a half so I could have a full body massage. I agreed, but it turned out not to be necessary. Thomas did a thorough and incredible job on nearly my entire body in just one hour. He unfortunately had to leave, so someone else came to finish the last 30 minutes. I didn't get her name. She did a good job, but the pressure wasn't as firm as I would like, which is why I always request male therapists. Here's why they got three stars instead of five. They don't have a blanket or sheet that covers your body. They only have a towel. This was only a big deal to me because it wasn't large enough to cover my private areas and butt when it came time to do the stretching. While the second therapist did a fairly good job with the remainder of the massage, she made me feel uncomfortable at times. During the glute massage, she called out that I was on my period, and suggested that may be why I had lower back pain. I told her that I'd been having the pain for weeks. it was not because of my cycle. That should have been dropped there, but instead she made weird comments about it throughout the massage. Also, she removed the towel from my body during the stretching, exposing my breasts, which were the only thing at that point that the small towel was covering. She kept making comments that I didn't think were appropriate. I believe she felt that since we were both women she could make little jokes and comments like she was, and that it didn't matter that I wasn't covered, but that's just not professional in my book. Plus, I personally don't like any talking during my massages, unless I'm being asked if the pressure is ok. read more

I've scoured the city for a proper massage, spent hundreds of dollars on memberships and nothing comes close to Healing Hands. I could go into detail but really its just something you have to try for yourself to believe. If you need deep tissue, knot removing massages this is the place for you. I go every other month or whenever I really start feeling the tension in my neck and shoulders. All of the ladies are very good here, and the prices are very reasonable. I think its 60 or 65 an hour. I visited Healing Hands this past Saturday for a long over due massage. I had so many knots and tight shoulders and lower back I just couldn't bare it any longer. I have been doing yoga almost daily since August 1st. I think stress and lack of stretching has just taken a toll on my body. I called in around 10:30am to see if they accept walk-ins which they said yes. The gentleman on the phone let me know he can get me a quick appointment and let me know what time slots were available. I chose the 11:00am same day as I do not live too far from this location. I got in right at 11:00am which I forgot I should have showed up a little earlier to complete the one page in take form. I filled it out as quick as possible and answered the questions on the middle of the page. I checked front massage/breast massage and signed consent. I'd been carrying stress everywhere and was really wanting a breast massage but for some reason I didn't receive it as part of my massage. (Perhaps I read wrong or didn't sign the right line?) I was able to use the restroom before the massage. I got into my room and didn't see my therapist, her name is Lisa. So I closed the door, got undressed, and laid face down on the table with the towel covering me. Lisa came in shortly and ask what areas were troubling me. She also let me know to inform her if the pressure was good for me and to let her know if she needs to apply more pressure or back off a bit. I appreciated that, she did a good job focusing on my knots and used enough pressure. She eased into it rather than just attack the knots (those things hurt). I know on the sheet you can request to have your privates covered or not. I opted for covered although I was fully undressed, I feel this way they can massage you without interference or staining any clothes. It was rather cold in there so I'm glad I asked for covered cause I think I may have had goosebumps. I will definitely come back for another massage! read more

Last night I had my first Thai massage with Lynn and it was the most PHENOMENAL experience I've ever had!!! If you like deep tissue massages, this is the place to go. Word of caution: I had my massage at 8 PM and had I done my research I would've known better than to do it so late in the evening. According to Wikipidea, "The claimed benefits of Thai massage are many, including.... release of blocked energy. While Swedish massage permits you to zone out and relax, the benefits of Thai massage force you to become more engaged and energized. This holistic approach promotes balance and focus not only of your body, but also your mind." I'll say! I was wide awake until 3:45 AM! I actually ended up here by mistake when I planned to go to Thai healing but then since I was already here I went ahead and got myself a good 90 min massage ! Don't regret my decision ... Luckily they accommodate walk in .. My masseur was really good and applied strong strokes and pressure .. my problem area was neck and shoulder that I asked her to focus on and she spent ample amount of time on it .. They also use hot stone and hot towels in the massage which was good addon ! Decently priced ! Loved the traditional Thai stretches in between.. the room ambience is simple not fancy spa like but it's not one of my judging criteria .. hence I would say overall it very very good experience and will definitely recommend this place .. read more

At first glance, it is not the glorious spa salon one would want to go to for a relaxing getaway, but once you get past appearances, Healing Hands really does offer healing hands. $60 for a 60 minute massage + hot stone, too good to be true? Nope, walked out feeling great!! I just had a massage done at a higher end salon and Healing Hands definitely did a much better job. Went with my sister and appointments were pretty easy to make (went on a weekday around 7:30pm). We were kindly greeted by a receptionist and able to enter our separate rooms quickly. Again, you get what you pay for so don't expect a fancy spa, but the staff is very nice and the rooms are basic: dim lights, tranquil music, towels. My lady, Lisa, was excellent! She asked if the pressure was okay throughout. The hot stones were a great touch and couldn't believe that it was included free of charge. Lisa really paid attention to my body and was very attentive to my "tense" areas without me having to tell her prior. It was definitely more deep tissue than Swedish (what I requested) so it was painful at times but again, walked out feeling GREAT and can't complain - Lisa really knows what she's doing if you're looking for deep tissue. Only reason why I didn't rate Healing Hands higher is it may be a hit or miss pending on who you get and how picky you are. My sister and I had very different experiences. We weren't asked to fill out any paperwork upon arrival and we both requested different things (Swedish massage and deep tissue), but didn't receive what we wanted (maybe the lack of paper and communication caused the mix up). Also, walls are pretty thin between rooms so you can hear conversations (not exactly the most tranquil setting). Not a place to go if you're looking for a high-end massage in solitude but a decent place if you're looking to work out any knots or desperate for a last minute massage. If you're picky and like massages a certain way - not sure if this place is for you because I don't think the staff is the best at taking requests/instruction. read more

I have been to Healing Hands twice in the past 2 weeks. I had some tension in my upper back and figured a deep tissue massage would help clear it out. I work at Greenway, so the location is pretty much a no brainer. I called the number and had an appointment scheduled to begin in 20 minutes. It was really convenient! The business is located in a strip center on the 59 feeder. The owners try to keep the place looking nice, and the bathroom and massage areas are very clean. They drape with a towel which is a bit odd, as most places use full sheets that make some people feel more comfortable because it means exposing less of your body at a time. The walls between the rooms are also kind of thin meaning that you can hear what's going on in the next room. In many ways this is the tale of two massages. My first massage was given by a man who really worked my shoulders. I actually extended my massage from 60 to 90 minutes so that he wouldn't stop. My second massage was less satisfying. Although I asked for a man to give me deep tissue, I got a woman that specialized in reflexology. It was a pleasant experience, but didn't really work out my knots. I'll probably come back again because the location is so clutch and they can schedule with little/no notice. The pricing is really great too. I am just bummed that my second massage wasn't really what I signed up for. Update: Upon my 3rd visit I was shown that sheets are available for draping. read more

Dawn removed/loosened 3 proper knots I had in my back. I get massages 1-2x month (mostly in NYC) and this was the very FIRST time that I walked out of a massage feeling like jell-o. I'd like to try someone else next time tho for sure. Dawn, like I said, was overall, awesome. But I didn't like one gesture she did when I went to adjust my blanket in a certain position. Instead of excellent customer service / customer's always right...etc, she instead adjusted it back and tried to give me some excuse. ...it's the little things. Arrived at 8:40PM, then was quickly rushed by the gentleman at the front desk to one of the massage rooms, where the lady immediately began the massage without any small talk or introduction. I quickly found out the way she massaged was not relaxing and unnecessarily and painfully deep; she didn't ask me once how the pressure was or even how it was feeling in general. The towels were cold. Within the first 5 minutes, she had run out of oil. And it was not specified that I was only going to get a 30 minute massage, I was under the impression I was getting the full hour, but I left with a 29 minute massage and paid $45 for it. She worked on me for an hour and a half using many different techniques including Thai and Swedish massage as well as hot stone therapy and stretching. I've been coming here for close to 2 years. I've always gotten deep tissue massages for 90 minutes and have never had any issues. I went in yesterday and the masseuse I had had her headphones in the whole time and at one point left the room and said she would be right back. Fast forward a few hours after the massage and my body is in PAIN. I've never had this issue after a deep tissue massage. It hurt to lay down, be hugged.. anything. My legs, back, and neck are covered in bruises. Today I went back to show them and the lady at the front desk said it's "normal", I told her that I've never experienced bruising after a deep tissue massage and she said that they probably weren't done right. I then mentioned that I got those previous massages at Healing Hands. She told me to come back in 5 days and I said the bruises would probably be gone by then and she said, "exactly".
