I went back for a second experience and I must say, it was exactly what I expected plus more. They were fully staffed and it was an amazing and relaxing experience. I the tea was at the temperature it should be at and even was offered a healthy snack during my treatment. I purchased more products that I've started using and love them. Sabrina, the owner, was there and she is the epitome of what every owner should be. She is knowledgeable, personable and beyond welcoming. Parking was way but limited. Just passing through Houston TX and I needed some waxing service. It's always hit and miss with these things but I knew when I spoke to them on the phone I'd hit a winner. I booked with Karen and she was amazing. First of all the atmosphere is soothing and it smells good. They put you in this quiet room to wait and I actually fantasized about moving in. I had the wall where my bed would go all picked out. And when you're waxing with Karen it's not a rip-your-face-off experience. She was gentle, she had me sniff some lovely essential oils and massaged my head a little. I'm as bare as a baby's butt right now. Came here to relax, get a massage and facial. Overall, I would not recommend getting a massage by Sam. It was not relaxing, stop and go, & more rubbing than actually doing a deep tissue massage. However, I would 100% recommend getting a facial done by Jill. It was the complete opposite as the massage--as in total relation. I cannot comment on their services as I did not even get that far. I am not one to come on here and give bad reviews as I have never done that actually. However, just a word of advice, I would highly advise not to schedule on their website And instead, I would call them and make them give you an appointment over the phone and then request that they send you a confirmation email and get the name of who you spoke to, not that that's going to matter anyway. I took an entire Saturday off and scheduled online for a facial at 2 PM and I have the email confirmation as well. I walked in for my appointment at 1:30 PM, and was told that I am nowhere on their books and I did not have an appointment. Even after showing the front desk girl that I had a confirmation email with me she just looked at me and said I'm sorry we don't have any appointments for you. She did not offer any solution at all. So again, I cannot speak to their services, but there is definitely an issue with their online scheduling, and the front desk girl did not care to remedy it at all. read more

I have always been experimental on skincare products due to major skin issues and am pretty knowledgeable of everything. The whole experience was FANTASTIC! From the front desk area to the relaxation room before your treatments to the beautiful treatment rooms, the space and the people were all top notch! But, the real magic was the facial...and Jess! WOWSA!! I loved every single second of it! Jess was so nice, professional, and clearly very skilled. I cannot wait to book my next appointment. This place has been my favorite new discovery of 2020. I always see it when I go to Barnaby's, but it wasn't until my friend told me she gets her facials here that I started to look more into it. It was easy breezy to call and make an appointment and the process to check in from your car and getting called when you're ready was smooth. They do temp checks at the door before coming in as well. Jill has been my esthetician and she's amazing! She really listens to my concerns and offers great advice and feedback. I always feel so relaxed during my treatment! I wanted to point out that the front desk staff is very accommodating and they do as they promise. I was trying to get a last minute appointment, but since they were booked, they said they could call me if anything opened up. Alright so after my not so ideal experience at Sanctuary the first go around, the owner, Sabrina sent me a message on Yelp and followed up with a call to talk to me about my experiences. She was very professional, did not try to make excuses and reassured me that she would talk to other clients with the same masseuse that day to see if they had the same experiences. She was courteous and extended an offer for me to come back so that they could make it right - now I don't expect businesses to do this because I understand they lose money but I really appreciated the gesture and it shows me that Sabrina really wanted to fix the issue. It also shows good business practice and that the business has a gold standard they want to achieve and won't accept anything but perfection. So thank you Sabrina for making right, in doing so you've gained another repeat customer and hopefully recommendations for others to come! As for my second experience here, it was definitely way way better than the first. I was greeted and checked-in by Sabrina herself. Then I was lead to the back room and the girl offered to set up the massage chair for me this time around. That was really helpful cause I had no idea the first time how to do it. She even offered me water, tea or snacks! Again, missing from the first experience. I was able to relax in the massage chair for about 10 mins before my masseuse Nakia (apologize if I got the name wrong) grabbed me. She discussed my expectations and needs and she actually listened to what I told her, everything was what I wanted and more! Her motions are fluid, her pressure was softer than I would like but also so on point - I know that doesn't make sense but every time I had the urge to tell her to increase the pressure, it was just enough that it was relaxing and not painful and I could also feel that it was helpful - kneading out my knots and pulling in all the right places! I'm glad I let her work her magic! The only complaint was the massage oil was a menthol - which made me smell like a grandma afterwards and made me feel so cold during the whole massage. I'm sure it was good for my muscles though so I can't complain too much. The hot towels were amazing and so was the heated massage bed - not something I experienced the first time. Overall, I would love to see Nakia again and I'm glad she was made lead masseuse at Sanctuary! Can't wait to go back for more and for a facial! read more
