This place is awesome! The moment you walk in, you can smell their special blend of essential oils diffusing. I ended up buying it and love it. The relaxation room is where you wait. It was serene and the massage chair was so relaxing. On my first visit, I had my eyebrows micro-bladed by Courtney. She is so personable and gentle. She made sure that I was happy with the shape and color before getting started. I absolutely love my eyebrows now. They look very natural and I continue to receive tons of compliments. Just had an AMAZING 1 hour massage with Maureen. The room I had the massage in was nice, dark and cozy. It also had some relaxing spa music. The massage bed I was on but slightly heated (love those). Maureen was very professional and gave me a nice relaxing massage with focus on my shoulders and back. After the massage, I hung out in their lounge area and used one of their bodymap pro massage chair. In the lounge area, they have water, hot tea and some light snacks. All complimentary. This place has become MY spa since I've been in Houston for roughly the past 6 months. My massage therapist,Rudy, is literally the best therapist I've ever encountered. Whatever I tell him is bothering me, he addresses and smooths out. His hands are literal magic and he has the most calm & cheerful demeanor. I cannot recommend him enough!...but not too much, because I need my appointments too now lol! I live 30 minutes away from here, with traffic, but it doesn't matter, Rudy is that good! I also recently got a facial here with Tamara. My face has been going through a nightmare since masking has become commonplace over the past 10 months and I was so clogged. Tamara was completely real with me about tangible goals and how we could best attack my skin issues and where we could improve my home skin care regimen. I initially booked a really strong acne-targeting facial, with products that would've been much too harsh for my skin. After my pre-facial consultation, we switched over to a personalized facial, which left me feeling refreshed and instantly feeling so much clearance from my pores. Tam helped me identify products which would be good for my skin, both from the Rhonda Allison products they carry AND over-the-counter products, which I really appreciated, as well as gave me a card on which she wrote a plan of action. I was definitely pleased and pre-booked for my next facial on the way out. I definitely recommend her as well! Sanctuary is such a cozy and welcoming place! I went here for the first time for a 2hr massage service with Rudy. Excellent customer service from the staff upon entry. Beautiful relaxation/waiting area. Rudy chatted with me to find out about my back issues and problem areas and seemed very knowledgeable. The table was very comfortable and heated as well. This was the Best massage I've ever had! And I am very particular about massages. It was like going to see a massage therapist, chiropractor and (silent)personal trainer all in one! This place is very welcoming & the customer service is superb. I enjoyed my time here because I did not feel pressured into a membership! I went for a Yoni steam and found it quite relaxing and intimate (considering that it was only me and my sister in the room - however the room can host at maximum of four people). Upon arrival we were greeted by a friendly face, Regina - who also assisted us throughout our duration at the spa. She briefly explained the process before leaving the room to allow us time to undress and change into the smocks. She provided us with water and light refreshments (scones and chocolate covered pretzels). We were even given a glass of Prosecco to make a toast for my sister's birthday. Regina did a wonderful job by answering all of our questions and informing us promotional offers that would discount our services upon check-out.Overall the experience was very relaxing. Although I did not receive any of their massage services - I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing experience without being bombarded with sales pitches! My best friend surprised me with spa treatments for my birthday. We were scheduled for yoni steams and facials. When we arrived we had to complete temperature checks and then we entered. We were first, taken care of my Regina who explained the yoni steam process. She was very kind and knowledgeable, she also provided glasses or proseco and cool aromatherapy towels during our service. She then took us to their fantastic waiting area and started their amazing massage chairs and we waited for our second service. The yoni steams had nice ponchos and we changed into plush and comfortable robes that we wore until our facials were over. They also had really nice cloth totes that we kept our clothing, shoes, and purses in. We met our estheticians who escorted us from the massage chair to the facial rooms. My lady was Kimberly; she was absolutely amazing. She was nice and knowledgeable. I appreciated how to ask my about my skin history as well as did her own review before starting. She explained steps before doing them like turning on the steam and extractions. She even took notes and had a card prepared for me at the end of our session. My overall experience was absolutely amazing and I look forward to going again. Some services are not available due to COVID but they are open and the place is fantastic! read more

I was looking for a massage place to treat myself for my birthday when I came across Sanctuary Spa on Yelp. I went ahead and book it based on all these rave reviews on Yelp. And boy, I was not disappointed. Thanks Yelpers! I booked a 75 mins deep tissue/Tech Savy session with Lauren and I couldn't be happier with her work. I was debating between the Swedish massage or the deep tissue massage for a while and the person who was booking my appointment was very informative about both and helped me made my decision. Best decision ever! Typically deep tissue is a bit on the painful side for me, but not Lauren's. Her pressure was on point. It has been a while since the bones on my back were being popped like that. She worked out most of the knots on my back. It was a great 75 mins (and yes I checked the clock to make sure it was). My second favorite part about this spa is the waiting area. It was chic yet relaxing. I love that Lauren took me back out to this room after my massage and set me up in the massage chair for some additional relaxing time. She even tucked me in with a blanket :) Overall, worths every pennies and can't wait to visit again. PS: if you want to book with Lauren, do it at least a week in advance. read more

Booked my very first scrub and first service at Sanctuary Spa- was also able to squeeze in a few days prior too! I had the first appointment of the day and the website stated that it is recommended to show up 30 min prior (new customers). To my surprise, they were open and had refreshments ready in the lounge! It only took me 2 min tops to fill out paperwork but I was able to hang out on the massage chair in the lounge until I was ready to be taken back. Akasuri Scrub My person was so lovely! She explained everything prior to start. To be honest, I didn't know what to expect with a scrub and I felt like I was getting dragged on the concrete. BUT I did tell her I have a high tolerance and kept it in because I wanted a real scrub. Ha! The vichy shower was interesting and once she started massaging me under the water- it made everything worth it! Once everything was compete, she let me know I can freshen up in the restroom and there was spray deodorant available. But she showed up with an exfoliating cleanser for my face and a moisturizer! The service was great and I loved the direction that was given so you're not missing out on something that was available. I will definitely come back to try other services and maybe for a scrub twice a year. read more

As soon as you walk in they make you feel valued. I was greeted and they already knew who I was as I checked in. I decided to get a men's facial and a massage and both were incredible! I had my facial first with Tamara and she set the tone for my whole experience. She was so friendly and made me feel like I was more than a client. She explained what she thought was best an in her words "went to town on my face!" She made me feel so comfortable and talked me through everything. My face felt refreshed and clear when she was done. She gave me tips on how to take care of my skin going forward. Next I had an hour massage with Tina. The best massage I've ever had!!! Annie was my massage therapist and was absolutely amazing. Best deep tissue massage I have ever had!! I added the extra 15 minutes for head and neck massage and let me tell you it was worth it. There was a sound machine that made rain and thundering sounds that were very relaxing. The only thing about the spa that I wished it had were a hot tub, steam room, and sauna. Kristen was a wonderful massage therapist. Even though I was booked for two hours (I'm stressed I tell ya!) she didn't skimp or give me the dreaded "elbows only" treatment. It was wonderfully relaxing. The spa itself is beautiful: serene, tastefully decorated and sparkling clean. The receptionist was also very sweet and welcoming. They have a nice lounge with tea, and they told me they welcomed BYOB. Also, they use Source Vital products which are AMAZING. The essential oil treatment smelled like heaven. The girls at the front desk are amazing. I know this place has switched ownership a few times in the last few years, but everything has remained pretty much the same. I do hate that the hours are now 10am instead of 9 am, but I am learning to live with that. Anne only works one day a week now, but is probably my favorite person there. update : the owner reached out to me shortly after the review. i missed her initial call and listened to the voicemail. she was so sincere in apologizing for our experience, and i called her back to speak to her directly. she was very open to what i had to say and was super pleasant to speak to. she offered a solution to the situation and was just super genuine. speaking to her and seeing how much she cared about the state of her business did change my opinions of the establishment. i will be going back to give it a second try. thank you sabrina :D i brought my mom here for her birthday and we got the duo massage package. it is a super cute establishment and the guest service girl was super sweet. she helped us get set up and brought water. i was excited to get to unwind and relax in their meditation room prior to our services. in the meditation room, there was a little girl playing tiktok videos on full volume that heavily disrupted being able to relax. another woman came in and threw her bag down and rummaged loudly through the snack station. this hindered being able to feel like i could unwind a bit before, and my mother felt the same. my massage therapist was sam and he was fantastic. he consulted with me prior to my service and went over what i would like and did just that! im unsure of who my moms therapist was but she was coughing and sniffling the ENTIRE service and since we were in the same room, disrupted any chance of either of us totally relaxing. the facility is beautiful, but there were totally plenty of factors that have hindering either of us wanting to return. read more

My mother and I came here for the first time in November for massages. Unfortunately, she was not pleased with her massage (it was her birthday). However, to the owners credit she called and offered a complimentary massage for my mother. I called and scheduled the complimentary massage for my mother for today. Prior to arriving, I received an email the day before asking to confirm the appointment - I did, stating that I am bringing my mother and will wait for her to complete her session. To which guest relations responded acknowledging that it was fine. We arrived and texted to inform them of our arrival. A few minutes after my mother proceeded inside to start her session, I walked in (temperature check was performed per Covid protocols) to inform the front desk staff that I would like to wait for her per my email. I was told that I cannot wait inside (mind you the waiting area was empty), but rather to proceed to Barnaby's cafe restaurant next door and wait on their patio (in 85+ degree weather). I went ahead to wait in my car for my mother for the entire 75 minute session. We've had massages at other establishments during this pandemic and never experienced this type of treatment. Although my mother enjoyed her massage with Sam (reason for the 2 stars instead of 1), we will not return. In a service industry, customer service is everything. read more
