We Are Thai Massage - Post massage tea, sweet, and water - Massage Near Me - Houston, Texas

I recently visited We are Thai Massage and had an excellent experience. Upon arrival, I immediately felt safe as they keep the door locked and have a camera at the entrance. Once you look past the aesthetic, this provided everything you need. The staff were very welcoming and inviting. I opted for the 90-minute deep tissue massage as I had been working out like crazy and needed some muscle relief. This was one of the best things I could do for myself, it felt like the massages I got when traveling to Vietnam- no fluff just straight to the root cause of the muscle pain. This isn't the type of place you go for a spa-like, relaxing atmosphere like Post Oak or Milk + Honey. Instead, it's where you go for a truly effective deep-pressure massage. The facility was clean, and my masseuse, Jessica, was fantastic. She took the time to ask about the areas I wanted to focus on and applied just the right amount of pressure in those areas. I was amazed at how much pressure she could apply despite her small stature. She also reassured me to not hesitate to let her know if something was uncomfortable which I appreciated. One aspect I particularly appreciated was that the massage included stretches, which contributed to significant relief. It wasn't necessarily a relaxing experience, but it was incredibly therapeutic. Also if you do not like feet or are shy this may not be the place for you. They use their feet to really apply deep pressure + stretch you in all directions like a piece of dough so inevitably you aren't always covered. I will definitely be returning! read more

No better way to spend your Valentine's Day than supporting this local business. The staff here genuinely cares and are highly skilled in their expertise. No fluff massages here. If you're coming for the stretches and stomach massages, book with Tiffani. If you are needing realignment and can handle deep pressure, book with Nancy. Each massage therapists are unique and bring along their own speciality. It is worth buying a package of 6 and giving each therapist a try! read more

Good service. Good massage. Every body very nice. I alway come here... Love Love Love

My girlfriend and I came here for a couples massage and it was amazing. Definitely a hole in the wall, you would easily pass up the place. It smelled so fresh and clean in the facility. The women who did our massages were extremely kind and attentive to pain areas. They stood on our back, did hot towels and stones, and massaged our heads. This is definitely more of a pressure messages than a rubbing massage. For my first ever massage I am more than pleased. We will be going back soon. read more

Their actual services are okay. Rooms are clean Masseuses are professional The restroom is not the best- needs some updating Parking can be a pain as there is very limited space However, the biggest reason I will never return is because I was asked to TIP MORE in front of other customers. I was tipping $15 which I thought was reasonable but they were asking for at least $20. The tip should be additional depending on how you feel the service went but at this establishment you will be asked to tip more if it's $15 or less. So be prepared. read more

This is the BEST Thai massage I have ever had! I live right down the street and when I came across this small house with sign saying Thai massage. Well...I had to check it out! I am glad I did and I have been going ever since. The first massage I had Tiffany and she is AMAZING! The entire staff here are very friendly and truly care. You can tell when someone cares...and We are Thai Massage provides quality combo Thai massage/stretching. This is much needed after long day of work. If you pay cash you save about $10 bucks:) Tiffany is my go to! I have not tried other therapists, but I am sure they are great! I rarely leave reviews, but this place deserves 5 stars! Thank you Tiffany and We are Thai massage for quality massage that leaves me feeling great each time! #bestthaimassage read more

This is not your fancy spa massage, so if you overlook the aesthetics, everything else was fantastic. This massage place is located in a bright yellow house in a residential area where parking is entirely street parking. There is no fluff. You walk in, tell them how many minutes you want and get let into a room with a bed and rails on the ceiling. I have had several Thai massages, but this one was the most thorough. They do use their feet to walk on your back, so if you have an aversion to feet, this is not for you! The massage was a combination of pressure and stretching. She stretched me like dough in every which direction and I have never felt so limber! This is not the typical relaxation massage. You are constantly being moved around. There's also no room for modesty as the sheet falls off when they stretch you anyway. They also have a full body scrub, which I'm excited to try next time. read more

Usually I try to do my reviews within a few days after leaving an establishment so how I'm feeling won't be clouded by time passing. WELL, in this case, I didn't have to worry about that because I'll never forget how amazing they made me feel. Holy Moly!!! Wow! Just . . .WOW! While driving to this place I asked myself "is this right?" Yes, you are at the correct address! LOL! This was my first time receiving a Thai massage and MAN!! It was good! I had the pleasure of having the older lady whom I was told was 60 years old! She was absolutely amazing and even gave me advice about some pain I've been having in my feet! She stepped on me! She Stretched me! She sat on me (kinda)! She rubbed me! I walked out of here a new person! and I can't wait to go back!!! read more

This place is really in the boonies it seems. Located in a house, residential neighborhood, little sketchy. Hubby and I were skeptical at first. Emma was greeted us nicely at the door. Took our temperature and set us in the room. The room was clean, comfy mattress and hands rail on the ceiling for them to walk on your back. She did an amazing job on my body, Thai massage included a Lot of stretching, as well as bend your body to some very awkward positions :) she beats the craps out of all the knots on my shoulders! And the hot stones were so effect! oh boy it feels so good afterward. My hubby had it with another lady, she was equally very good. We literally drove from downtown Houston by the convention center to here and it was worth it. If we are in town again, we'll definitely come here again. read more

So disappointed in this place. I scheduled a couples massage for 5 pm. When we arrived, they said they didn't have me down for a couples massage then was told they called me to move my appointment time. They called me twice, but I was at work. But they didn't leave me a voicemail to let me know, so I could have adjusted my time. Walking in, wasn't impressive. Super crowded place with paperwork, clusters of things everywhere, the stains on the carpet were ridiculous, super dirty hallway, really congested area to get massages. Definitely gave off creepy vibes. But I knew the reviews would do the massage justice at least, but NO. Going back to my appointment. They told me they had a couples room available, but it's upstairs and no ac. I didn't opt for that. We arrived at 4:51. After trying to figure out which therapist was assigned to us, the person at the front desk lady was overwhelmed. I know why now. The other lady that was a therapist asked her in their language to work on me while another therapist was arriving. And the front desk lady was borderline whining, throwing a fit with her arms in the air, and complaining in their language- that she had to massage. We finally were taken to our room at 5:09. I was told to undress and get on the table and, that she had to change her clothes. When she walked back in- 5:18, she mentioned to me she is going to start my massage and another therapist will end my massage. HIGHLY DISAPPOINTING. I was trying to blow it off and relax. She started stretching me, and per usual, I asked her name. I like to be respectful and ask their names for future reference. When I asked her name, she mentioned "oh I don't work here." And I said oh okay but what's your name? And she repeated the same thing that she was only here to drop off food for them, she has to go back to her daughter that she left, and that she didn't work there. So I'm immediately on edge because I'm getting a massage from a person that doesn't work there?????? When laying on the table, the face rest was so hard for me to rest my face. It hurt the ENTIRE time. PLEASE GET ANOTHER FACE REST CUSION. I signed up for a 90 min massage. She proceeded to stretch me from 5:20 till 5:48. Then told me the other therapist is coming in. When the other therapist walked in, introduced herself and told me she was going to start over again. She started stretching me. Like I was literally stretched this whole time and you're going to stretch me more?? The first therapist asked me what I wanted to focus on, even though I filled out the form stating what needed to be worked on. But the second one didn't. I really needed my neck worked on, the only reason I came there, and she barely worked on my neck. When she did my back, she was elbowing my vertebrae. I was in so much pain. Not sure what was worse, me having two therapist- one that didn't work there, or stretched for 50 mins, or that damn face rest. I was stretched for most of my massage. Out of 90 mins, I only got a 35 mins massage. And it wasn't the entire 90 mins either. I didn't want to make a fuss, so I paid. But be careful when you're booking with this place. My partner left unsettled too. She was in pain the day after, and so was I. read more

First time getting a Thai massage. All I really know about Thai massages is that they do a lot of walking on your back and I was pretty nervous about it initially. My masseuse did a great job applying pressure. These massages are not for the weak and I felt like all of my stress points and aches were addressed. I was definitely in pain the majority of the time, but the good pain where you know the deep tissue is really working. Highly recommend for the massage enthusiasts if you're looking to truly relieve your body of stress. read more

Best massage I've ever had! I did a couple massage which the masseuse recommended to do Swiss+Thai (with no extra charge) since Thai massage can be very different and a lot for a new person experiencing it. The Thai massage consisted of medium intensity pressure points, stepping around body, and stretches! I can see how this could be overwhelming for someone who would like a more relaxing massage but I really enjoyed the pain. My body felt so relaxed after it (like a sports massage). The Swiss massage was very relaxing in where she used hot stones (no pain)! My boyfriend had the entire Thai massage and absolutely loved it. He was originally very sore from working out earlier in the week but the masseuse got all his pressure points and he walked out feeling incredible! I used to go to Chinatown/Bellaire for massages but I don't think I can go back after coming here! It was so detailed and the masseuses listened to all our body aches/problems! You don't get this experience at most places since most massage parlors has a set routine, but this one takes the time to target your spots if you let them know. Highly recommend Tanya and Emma, who took great care of us and our body! read more

Wow wow wow, what an incredible experience at this location. My mother and I went in and were able to book an appointment on very short notice. We both were struggling with some workout injuries. Nancy and Amanda truly are life-changing. They are so incredible at what they do and so knowledgeable, especially in diving in deep to the areas. I haven't been able to move my head for an entire week and Nancy corrected it within 30 minutes. Forever grateful and bought a package immediately after. My dad took me here as a birthday present. The staff was very friendly, attentive, and accommodating. Pricing was fair/as expected with options for 30, 40, 60min etc. Pricing is cheaper (5$ less per service) if you pay cash. It's in a house, which adds to its comfortable/relaxing atmosphere. It was healing, I enjoyed it, I will be back. read more

Consistently great. That's my concise review. I've been here three times so far, and have gotten three different therapists. That's not my style - I prefer to get to know my massage therapists - and them me. However, all three massages, while different, have been excellent, with plenty of stretching and a lot of attention to what I needed. Tanya, Natalie, and Jessie all provided massages that left me feeling much better afterwards. My compliments to Natalie and the ownership here, who have done a great job of promoting and maintaining a standard of excellence. A note to potential clients: as noted elsewhere, this is not a bougie luxury spa - it's a serious massage establishment. It is clean and neat, and also unassuming. Don't come here for the accoutrements - come here for the reliably excellent massage with stretching! read more

Wow wow wow! I've had a horrible few weeks between stress at work and housing repairs, so I decided to treat myself to a massage and listened to YELP reviews to try this place. When I arrived I was instantly greeted and serviced...the lady at the desk was so warm and friendly. Now for the massage? It was by far the best massage I've ever had. I got the 90 minute and wish I could've done two hours! I walked out of this place refreshed, in a daze, and feeling GREAT! I will def be back. I may need to make this a once a month thing read more

This place is a hidden gem. The customer service is immaculate. Everyone was so nice and the prices are really good. This was my first time getting a Thai Massage and I truly enjoyed the entire experience from calling to book my appointment all the way through paying and tipping. I have been to several high end massage parlors but this one has a charm to it. It's not an overly fancy place but it's clean and quaint and the staff is really nice and helpful. I was sold when she asked during the massage if it was ok to apply a certain lotion on me instead of just applying not knowing if I was allergic or not. This place gets a 10 / 10 . read more

This is my favorite Thai massage place in Houston! Been coming here for at least once a month for over 7 years and they never disappoint me!

Customer service and massage was top tier; relaxing environment staff made you feel welcome. I definitely will be returning.

masseuse was on the phone chatting away twice during my session. afterwards I left a 20% cash tip and they demanded more money. I thought something was lost in translation but she clarified that I need to give her more tip money. if you search "tip" in the other reviews you'll see that this is common practice. massage itself was okay but nothing special. I would look elsewhere, if the owner is reading this it is a faux pas to demand tips. Tips are generally discretionary it's kind of the whole point. read more

Always a great massage here and it is very individualized to your specific needs as well as your flexibility.

Amazing place. Extremely professional and thorough. My partner & I make it a point to come at least once a month. Love this place & staff!

Had some time between meetings and figured "hell, 5 Stars! I'll give this place a shot!" Now I have my issues with this place which should make it a 3.5, but it was overall good so 4 it is. Location: there is zero signage. I drove by it twice before I saw the little yelp sticker in the window. Parking: non existent here. No signage indicating you can park anywhere. This place looks super sketch outside, that being said I was prepared to leave but was wanting to give it a chance. Once you walk in it's a legit Thai massage place. I was greeted and shown to my room. Changed out and got my massage. So some more issues, I like to relax and almost fall asleep during them. She had her cell phone on the bed and every phone call made it vibrate. Which was annoying. But what really made me go wtf, was she was answering calls during my massage. I understand you run a business, and you may be alone, but let that call roll to voicemail. She apologized, but yeah. Now the massage itself was amazing. The stretching was so relaxing. She always asked to make sure I was comfortable, how the pressure is, etc. I would absolutely come back here. Just be forewarned it's kinda hard to find and there's no visible parking or instructions where to park. Once you get in, it's euphoric. Syoy! read more

Amanda is absolutely amazing! Love this place so much and will be back again asap. Have had two massages here now and was not disappointed. Can be a little painful at times when working on tough areas but just let her know if it's too hard, ultimately I felt amazing when I left both times and she helped stretch me out so I highly recommend! read more

We Are Thai Massage delivered the BEST massage I've ever received in Houston by far. There's a reason why they have so many 5 star reviews. I have chronic neck and back pain and have been getting massages at other places, but decided to give We Are Thai Massage a try this time. Scheduling an appointment was easy - I called ahead and they said to come on right in. Parking is difficult due to the street location, but the ladies working helped point out a spot where I could park. Received a one hour massage with Sandy and she was amazing. She used a combination of trigger point, deep tissue and Thai massage (stretching and using feet) to work on my muscles and knots. The main thing that I look for when I go to get a massage is if they really focus on the areas that hurt and work on them and Sandy did a great job zero-ing in on my neck and upper back. A few small things that they did that made a huge difference: - Aromatherapy - not sure exactly what oil they used, but it smelled heavenly and it lasted throughout the entire massage. -Heated massage tables -Masseuse warmed their hands on hot stones before touching your skin and to warm up your muscles. This made a world of difference. I was extremely impressed and thankful for the massage. I don't think I can get a massage anywhere else now. Highly recommended and will be back. read more

Fantastic massage! They were simply wonderful when we went in for a couples massage- I would highly recommend

So amazing!! Best Thai massage we've ever. Sandi and Amanda were both so awesome. Can't wait to go back next month!

Wanted a true massage to help with some aches and stiffness so decided to Google Thai massage parlors around the area, came across this place near my home. Scheduling was easy, they had an opening for midday on Saturday a few days in advance. Parking is limited due to it being located in a house in a residential area plus there is construction going on across the street. The receptionist came outside and showed me where to park. I had a 60 minute combination massage. It was the perfect mix of stretching, deep massaging, and the hot stones were the perfect touch. I found the massage incredibly relaxing but thai massages are very different from Swedish massages so they are a bit more strenuous. I would definitely research thai massages prior to coming so that you know what to expect. It was exactly what I was looking for! read more
