Excellent Service at Trek San Marcos! I brought my bike into Trek San Marcos with a few issues, and they ultimately took such great care of me and my bike. There were a couple of little timing glitches along the way, but the end result was absolutely worth it--the bike was completed perfectly and came back with all of the improvements it needed. Wendy, the manager, was absolutely wonderful. She was so kind, professional, and easy to work with, and she handled everything with such ease. Chelsea, the service mechanic who worked on my bike, did a fantastic job, and Natalie was also very helpful throughout the process. What really impressed me was that they even took the time after hours to make sure I could get my bike back with everything completed properly. That level of care really says something about the people who work there. Overall, I'm very happy with my experience. Trek San Marcos has some truly great people on their team, and I really appreciate everyone who took the time to get my bike right. Thank you, Trek San Marcos! read more

I can't say enough about my great experience at Trek North County. From my initial phone call, to the drop off and pick up. The young lady who answered the phone was very polite and helpful. Upon drop off of a rim and hub for a wheel build, I explained I had left it at Bike Bling in Escondido for six weeks. Bling kept giving me the run around. The guy there finally told me he didn't know how to figure out the spoke length. I explained this to the young lady working the counter at Trek, she said this build was no problem for them, she said they had a girl there who's the wheel guru. Four hours after drop off, I received a call from Trek, my wheel was built! That is outstanding 5 star service! Thank you Trek North County! read more

Have had to come here a few times for my daughter's bike and to look at more bikes to purchase. I think it is a great store with good customer service. Their selection is decent though I find Kearny Mesa to be bigger. Their sevice area can get a bit backed up so bring patience with you if you come inside looking to get your bike serviced. read more

I have been coming here for service for the last six years, and they have gone above and beyond to keep my mountain bikes running. Whether its simple repairs or warranty issues, their customer service has been top notch. There are so many competing mountain bike brands all offering excellent products. What sets Trek apart from other brands is the service they provide. Knowing you have a local shop that will help you with repairs and warranty issues makes it worth owning on (or two) of their bikes read more

Brought in my 6 y/o bike that came in with a defect crank. The team at Trek initially said it may take a couple of days but got the notice it was done and ready the following day. Quick service and the few times I was there was always greeted and very helpful. Looking forward to getting our 8 y/o next bike there and continued service. read more

Had a flat rear tire on my wife's bike once again the folks at Trek were outstanding! Ricardo always greets us with a smile and while taking to him about the need for a new tire and inter tube one of the Techs (I didn't catch is name, wish I did) just coming back from lunch break offered to fix it right away so we didn't have to come back 10 min later we were on our way. Always outstanding customer service! Great job! read more

Very helpful like all Trek stores. Natalie at this location was very helpful. I will always go to Trek when it comes to bike services.

The service was awesome. The sales lady was very helpful and knowledgeable. The selection was good and the store was clean and inviting. We picked up some shoes and cleats for our Peloton bike. I felt we got a good deal on our purchases. I would definitely recommend this store. read more

I recently purchased a used e-bike from a private owner who let it go for a fraction of what it was worth but needed to get it checked out before the 24 hour warranty period that we agreed upon expired. I called the shop and Ricardo answered very professionally. I told him that I would like their techs to take a look at the e-bike and would pay a fee if needed. He checked with his manager (Kelsey) and told me that they would check it out for free. After the tech thoroughly reviewed the e-bike and test drove it, he gave me his long term recommendations as there were no imminent issues with it. Great customer service and outstanding selection of accessories. I would highly recommend visiting this location for all of your bicycle service and sales needs. Thanks guys Doug read more

Service - my SRAM Force AXS rear derailleur wasn't shifting properly. I brought it in thinking it was my limit and B-screw adjustments. Was I wrong. Excellent customer service. They changed tube on my electric bike tire and tuned it up

Treks own CEO/President ghosted me after saying he would get in touch with Treks warranty team. I've bought 3 Trek bikes over the course of 10 years and I won't buy another one. A slipped chain into a carbon frame is apparently enough to total a Trek bike. read more

Booked full suspension emtbs a couple weeks in advance of our vacation to the area. Day of I got a call from Trek saying our booking was cancelled due to rain and an agreement they have with a local trail organization. There was a small misting of rain the night before and I talked to a couple locals that said the trails would be fine. Pretty crazy to have an agreement to cease all rentals (for 48 hours!) with any amount of rain regardless of trail conditions. read more

I wish I could give this place 10 stars, seriously. I came into Trek to fix a flat tire on my bike that kept going flat with an air leak. When I walked in, a young guy whose name started with a D greeted me and told me they could definitely fix it. I had to wait around 20 minutes to be seen by Jerry who found the hole, showed it to me, then changed it all out! Ian rang me up and the total cost of fixing a hole in the inner tube was 27 dollars and something cents. It was 10 dollars for the new inner air tube and a little more than 17 dollars for the labor of them installing it. Everyone here is super nice, and the store is fully stocked and well organized. I highly recommend this place if you are looking to buy anything bike related, or need service on pedal bikes/electric bikes. read more

My son crashed his (non Trek) bike this morning and I was looking for a repair shop who would fix it on short notice. I called and they said to come right in, no appt needed. Kelsey and all the team members that we encountered were fantastic. We went to the shop to just browse and ended up with 2 Marlin 8 bikes for a great price. Tl:DR at bottom Very friendly people that encourage new bikers to continue their journey. If you're serious about biking they have all the equipment and advice to maximize your experience. Also they have a great selection of bikes from cruisers (electras) to mountain and road bikes, kids bikes, and they have plenty of electric bikes as well. The price range is good at this location from $500-$8000 from what I saw so they cater to every buyer. Road bike shoe selection is not great but they give great advice on what shoes you'll need or quality and price comparison. TL;DR they are knowledgable and very helpful. I really like this bike shop. Trek is well known for quality and craftsmanship in their bikes and gear. I bought spd pedals, and shoes, and a few other items. Service was excellent. And also went on a group store 20 mile Ebike ride that occurs every other Saturday from the shop. Thank you Drew and Ryan and the rest of the crew for your great service. read more

After seeing the itinerary for my indoor cycling workshop and surveying all my appropriate attire, I had to make a quick visit to Trek. You see, I know how these workshop are. You can never have enough clothing or enough food. I called on a Friday night to make sure they actually sold clothing, not just bikes. The associate confirmed they did and then went to check what they had. Yup, worth a trip in. So, Saturday morning, I went in..and wow, quite a selection plus a really good clearance section. Now, cycle attire is expensive (even on clearance) but you get what you pay for. Cheap pants=minimal padding=days of 'sits bone' pain. I spent a good amount of time perusing through and found a ton of things. While TREK and Pearl Izumi were well represented, they had a few other brands. I bought one TREK and one Pearl Izumi. I realized a few days later that I didn't need both pairs of shorts. One was sufficient. Back I go, returning it was a breeze (14 day return policy and tags must be on).... I did walk around the store looking at a few bikes, but I'm not in the market for a bike now. I'm happy with mine. And, oddly enough, it's a TREK. The next time I need to purchase cycle gear, I'll stop in! read more

We went to this store for the first time after always seeing it off the freeway. We bought my girlfriend a Trek elsewhere but thought it was time for me to get one. We decided to check it out. Came up to the store and there was about 3 cars parked in front of the store so it didn't look to busy but we saw a tent outside with an employee. We walked up and asked if they were open for sales, the gentleman said yes but they only allowed what seemed like one person in at a time? So bizarre. I understand we are in this pandemic but if masks are supposed to be so effective then why can't there just be some social distancing and let more people in. We put our name down and waited in the parking lot for 30mins before leaving. Couldn't believe this is how they want to do business. Spending my money elsewhere. read more

in 2019 my mom scored a killer deal here on a Trek Marlin that had been purchased and returned. The unit was still brand new and was something like half off. She and my dad were pleased with the transaction on that end. With her elation over the deal I decided to see what items they would have and took a trip there. Upon my arrival there was a tent at the front door where an employee was taking names to put onto a wait list to enter the store. The line to get in was over an hour as the showroom was restricted to a limited number of guests each assigned to their own salesman. I did not find anything below the $3,000 price range which was a bit too much for me but they did have a lot of bikes to choose from. read more

I paid my first visit to this store last week in search of a new helmet and had some questions regarding bike racks. I was greeted by a gentlemen who was easy to talk to, super helpful, attentive and professional. I tried on at least six different helmets before I found the the perfect fit. I'm glad he was extremely patient and made every effort to help me out to ensure I walked away a satisfied customer. Additionally, he answered my questions regarding hitch racks and demonstrated how it would work with my particular bike. Nothing but top notch customer service! Don't let the "big box" brand name fool you. These guys are legit. Extreme attention to detail on service. I didn't get my service guys name, but he was incredibly proficient. I called and listened to the automated message (I love recorded messages when I call a business) that instructed me to go to the website to shop prior to visiting. The website had a number to text for questions. I texted and asked if I needed to make an appointment or if I could just come down to shop. I was told via text that I could just come down to the shop. When I got to the shop I was told that I would need to get in the que for 45 minutes and I would be texted when I could enter to have my bike serviced. I wish they would have told me this before I drove to the store. Glad they are providing a safe shopping environment. Really annoyed that they were not clear on their process so I could plan accordingly. I will shop and have my bike serviced elsewhere for wasting my time. read more

As for me I wish Yelp had a six star rating because Trek Superstore is San Marcos would have my vote. After driving 6 hours one way from Arizona to purchase two bike from another Trek Superstore I had a small issue so I did a return trip from Arizona this time to San Marcos. I was immediately greeted by Jon and Ian when I first walked in the door. They were very attentive to my needs and request and I knew right then I was at the right place. Trek Superstore San Marcos has a great selection of quality Trek and Cannondale bicycles as well as a large selection of any and all parts and accessories you could want or need. I received absolutely the best customer service. Jon even spent time to listen to my needs and wants and not only did he get my wife's new bike handled he got me on the correct bike. Jon is full of knowledge and really went above and beyond my ecxpectations. I was so impressed how Jon and Ian took a questionable situation and completely turned it around to one of the best customer service experiences I have ever had. For that matter the entire staff at Trek Superstore San Marcos was attentive to my needs and very helpful. It is very apparent that Jon, Ian and the entire staff have a true passion for what they do and sell. It makes the purchase experience very rewarding and enjoyable. I just want to personally thank Jon and Ian for there time, patience, knowledge and all incredible good old fashion customer service. Have a Blessed Day !!! read more
