I thought I would continue to support them when I purchased a Haro Boulevard from a local bike shop. I definitely over paid but I thought it was nice to be able to support a brand I used to trust. But this first-time online customer experienced a part of the sales funnel that just doesn't get enough love. Usually when a business prioritizes online customers, it tells them when an item is out of stock. Haro? Not so much, at least not online. First I get an email saying my order is confirmed. Shortly after, I get an email that says my money has been refunded. I figured that could mean one of two things: 1. The payment processor flagged the transaction 2. The item is no longer in stock Customer Service was kind enough to tell me that the second condition was the case. But do we really need to be schlepped to ask the chat operator for that info? Maybe someone there can update the Haro website to reflect current stock? Thank-you

Nick, Nick, Nick, Nick, Nick-- a wonderful business owner!…read more It's Spring/ Summer 2020 (COVID19 edition), kids are out of school and families are required to stay home. We've watched all of Netflix, tended to the garden, and organized our closets, twice. Luckily, we're also allowed to stay active! Running, walking, and we've recently picked up biking. We were on the lookout for a new bike for my brother and generally, I've always tried to support a local business before looking anywhere else. I think it's incredibly important, especially now that small businesses are being affected disproportionately due to the Coronavirus. I was surprised to learn that Valley Center had a bike shop of its own. So, I reached out to ABC to see what they had in inventory! I was able to communicate with Nick over the phone initially and he made it easy to stay connected through ABC's IG DM, as I was not always available. We settled on a few models after describing my price point and requirements for the new bike. He even lowered the price on a few bikes to better fit our range!!! Nick was patient, flexible, and kind throughout the entire process. Although it took us a few days to set a date, I'm glad we were finally able to meet. You'll be able to find their store on Cole Grade Rd across the street from A1 irrigation. It may be difficult to spot at first, but their store entrance is shared with Solar Rain, the furthest door to the left facing the structure. If you're at the Grangettos, you're at the right spot. Nick and his assistant (sorry I didn't catch his name, but also very friendly) assembled the bike for us and allowed us to give it a spin. We were also looking for helmets, and Nick hooked us up with two, providing us yet another discount (57% off). He also sent us home with a pair of FREE flashing lights for the rear of our bikes, for safety! I was touched. Nick was wonderful! I'm really grateful for his friendliness and heart of service. This is why I support small businesses. He made sure we were set to go before departing. He gave my brother's bike a second adjustment after seeing him ride it, and offered him a free tune up in a few months. I'll certainly be coming to Nick for all my bike needs from here on out, and I recommend you reading this do the same!

Cool looking bike with tons of little issues. It always had a flat, so I learned to change those . And I think i was in the shop once a month getting new breaks. So, I got a chance to get to know a few of the guys. Rob, who is a really chill swarthy young man in his early to mid twenties. This young man named Mark who was a extremely friendly young Mexican man who has moved on to becoming an Emt i believe. Any repair big or small they have completed ASAP, they're always professional and friendly to everyone who walks into those doors. And they are great with communication and calling. With my current Ebike, because the kabbit had a wiring issue and had a little fire, UNDER MY SEAT‍. I returned to Alan's because I knew id get a fair price for a decent bike. Sure enough Rob hooked me up with the Ava Big Sur, literally the first one they built out the box. I love this bike and I cant say enough good things. Well, there haven't been many problems but 3 big ones. This is to be expected because my bike is my transportation. So 365 this bike is on the road. first there was a wiring issue and the owner himself rewired my whole bike (2 year warranty FTW), then this time last year I was having throttle issues so we swapped that out for like 60 bucks, now its the controller which is funny because I told Rob I think the controller needs to be replaced with the throttle (you cant see me but im shaking my fist jk). All these repairs combined the big issue was the wait. If you could imagine suddenly youre walking 7 miles in the rain at 4am to work. But thats not their fault. Sadly they dont have the wearhouse from Indiana Jones so they dont have every part to every bike. I understand this is a long review, but I feel ppl only talk about when theyre mad. Never give flowers. So to Alan's Bike shop, personally, thank you for your years of fantastic service and amazing staff.

First, Dan is super-friendly, safety conscious and very affordable. I had shopped around and a friend recommended i check them out and after checking out the stock in the shop (by Bobby Riggs and SDA) I decided to support a local business. I had read a lot of reviews of people buying big box ebikes or online stuff and having nightmares Trying to fix stuff. Lo and behold, My son had an accident (he is fine, thankfully!) and Steve repaired it gratis today! (I couldnt believe they were open, let alone able to fix it on a Sunday!) It actually took longer to drive there than the fix. They were out of the part (steering wheel stem) and he pulled it off of another bike they had in stock! Never met Dan or Steve before this, but so impressed with speed and attention to detail. Btw, the stem did not break in the accident, but I stripped the part where you screw it in afterwards. Totally my fault. I am guessing if I had bought a big box brand, there would have been a cost and significant wait for this type of part/repair. Others can probably inform better there. My son asked me to make this post, he loves his bike, its got leather seats, super -comfy and he said its seems better made than a lot of the ones he sees at his school CCA. So if you are looking for an ebike, highly recommend these guys! Support local! And please say hi!
