I have read the good and bad reviews as well…read more I had known them in the past (circa 20yrs) as I was new to the city and was shopping around different stores. I was not impressed but I already know the cycling world... I moved to north of Metairie and looked for a bike store closer to me. It only took me a few years to run away from them due to an expensive and bad situation which the store manager not only did NOT managed well but happened to be very greedy. Then I went to Bicycle World. I was needing an upgrade for my 2001 Litespeed and also I was riding with a lot of neck and shoulder pain. Not only the guys were very helpful but knowledgeable and they detected immediately the problem. Since then no more shoulder pain. Many years later, I needed a saddle upgrade and again, this time Adam, was very accommodating and helpful. We all make mistakes as we are human and also it depends on the attitude we present to others. As for me I try not to be an @&@!? and negotiate issues. I've never had a problem with them and if I do, civil behavior helps to get things done.
