I asked if a specific bike was available to the employee i was chatting with and from across the room at the computer he shouts no. Then once I bring back the bike i rented, he is the one checks it over (mind you he didn't even check it out for me) he sees a scratch and was like DID YOU TAKE A HUGE SPILL? Uh no guy, if you would have seen it before checking it out you would have known it was already there. Anyways that dude just ruins the vibe of an otherwise epic shop with sick brands and totally cool staff. Hope he can get some adequate training so he doesn't ruin the reputation of the shop!

The shop was empty, but there was no greeting when I entered, no offer of assistance while I spent several minutes looking for the correct tubes, no acknowledgment from the pouty kid at the register, except to point out the option to leave a tip... I was super relieved that the technician was so kind and came up with the best solution to make my bike safe even though the available parts weren't quite right. The bikes in this store are gorgeous, but as someone who rides everyday for transportation and fun and has had three crappy bikes stolen, this store is otherwise outside of my budget. I will buy a bike here when my fortunes change, and I can purchase one that I will never lock up outside of King Soopers while getting groceries.

This dude's been involved with winning teams. Oh, and yeah, this ain't his first rodeo running a shop. He really knows his stuff. I know this'll probably change as he gets busier, but he did same-day service for my son's mountain bike that got pretty banged-up in a crash--bottom bracket was toast, bent rear derailleur, etc. He also did a full tune for about $50 less than other shops in the area, and offers a 20% discount for locals! My kid said his bike rode better than new. Brian's shop is just to the east of the Idaho Springs Safeway and on the same side of Colorado Blvd, so really easy to find and access--oh, and he's open EVERY DAY. After I ordered I found the helmet elsewhere with actual CM sizes listed and realized L might fit me better. I contacted Epic Cycles right away asking them to hold the package. They said it has been flagged as fulfilled so they can't open the package at that point. It seemed from tracking and their wording that the package was physically still there. I was told to order the 'L', and I can send back the 'M' for a refund as soon as I get it. so I did. When I emailed them that I am ready to return the 'M' I was told they can't take it back since it was on sale. they knew this when they told me to order the other size and return the wrong one. First it seemed they were lazy about stopping the original package, then they lied to me directly about returning the wrong size. Deceptive to get me to order a second from them.
