In Filipino culture, calamansi is considered lucky. People plant it to attract abundance, place coins and grains at the base for prosperity, and use its juice in cleansing rituals. My mom was over the moon when I bought her one. The staff at SummerWinds were super helpful and genuinely kind. You can tell they care about their plants and their customers. The nursery itself is beautiful--peaceful, well-organized, and full of unique finds. Prices were reasonable. You can also get rewards here if you return again. Great value! This week I snagged some guara, hummingbird bush, and a gorgeous pink trumpet vine that's actually not toxic to pets (as most trumpet vines are). The staff all seem very knowledgeable and are really helpful. There are two older gentlemen that walk around and are always especially kind and helpful. There are some chickens clucking about and if you go in the indoor plant area you can meet parrots Jack and Diane who are happy to have a chat with you. There's also a huge selection of pottery.

The colors in this bouquet and the flower arrangements were a show stopper! I had 5 women sending photos to their spouses of what a flower arrangement was supposed to look like. Most times when I receive flowers they aren't full, or some are already dead, this was NOT the case with these. He helped us pick out an amazing Ficus tree and also gave me additional advice on pruning my other trees and roses while we were there. The guys who came to remove the stump from our old tree in our backyard were great and Brandon Vasquez Jimenez went above and beyond explaining every step he and his crew went through when planting our Ficus. He took time to answer all of my questions and explained after care slowly so I could write down the details. Additionally, Andy gave me his cell phone so I could ask any additional questions anytime. She was so excited. So excited that when she brought them home I put them in a vase on the table despite the fact that I have a severe fragrance allergy and haven't been able to have fresh flowers in the house for years. Turns out I wasn't allergic to these and the whole family got to enjoy a beautiful centerpiece for two whole weeks. I can't tell you the joy the florist at Rowan Tree brought to my daughter and inadvertently to me through a simple act of kindness. His gesture guaranteed I'll use Rowan Tree whenever we send flowers.
