Absolutely horrible service. If you want to simply pick up plants like you would at a big box store then this place is fine, they have a nice selection of well maintained plants (hence the 2 stars). However, if you're looking for experienced assistance in order to make the wisest selections go to Whitfill. One year working in a nursery does not suffice when someone asks for more assistance. These guys Deliver on time With good quality plants and trees at a very reasonable price. A tree of mind blew down in a storm. I called and asked to have it staked up. They charge $25 for it but have a $100 minimum to come out (understandably) so they Triple staked it to give a fair job for the money. I have purchased 4 times from them and will continue. read more

This is my go-to nursery near where I live. They have a good selection of natives, and other plants, to survive the weather here. In the smaller sizes I buy, the plants are healthy, and well cared for. Of course it is always up to the buyer to examine plants closely before purchase. I like their adjustable pricing rate on one gallon perennials. Some are less expensive than others. I guess it has to do with how easy it is to propagate them. The staff are friendly and helpful when I have questions. I prefer to buy smaller plants to let them grow into their new environment. So I can't speak to their planting service. So why not five stars? Well. They just don't have the diversity of native plants that I find at Desert Survivors. If there were local demand for that type of diversity I think they would probably offer it. But as I check out other nurseries, look at yards driving around, or read negative reviews of local nurseries, I think we're a ways away from that sort of demand from DIY gardeners. It's supposed to rain today. Maybe I should go to Treeland and look at some plants! We need a lemon tree, and some bougainvilleas, and I wonder if they still have those native buckwheats? read more

We bought a tree from this business in March. We had an tree expert plant it according to directions on the tag. It died within 2 months before the heat came. When I called them to discuss it, they couldn't care less that I was an unhappy customer and would not give us a replacement tree. Now we are stuck with a dead tree in our front yard and we live in an HOA. They have terrible customer service. We will never do business with Treeland again. read more

So far all of my experiences with Treeland have been great. If I've ever had questions about a certain type of tree not common to the area they have been able to help me out when other nurseries staff lacked the knowledge and interest. Treeland also has great prices for contractors and consumers. I've had a hard time getting other nurseries to match their prices... which only came up since the other nursery was right by the job I had. Treeland Nurseries - Great place for a new tree or plant with knowledgeable staff. - Nurseries & Gardening Near Me - Mesa, Arizona

First, I purchased five 15 gallon fruit trees. No problem at the time of purchase. But within a few days I was contacted and told two of the trees weren't available now in 15 gallon sizes. They had to be either upgraded to 24 gallon or cancelled. The price went from $130 to $350 with NO DISCOUNT for them not being able to provide what they originally sold me. Second, I also purchased delivery and planting for $50 for a 15 gallon and $100 for a 24 gallon - again NO DISCOUNT for them not being able to provide what they originally sold me. When I agreed to the payment of $50 & $100, I thought he/she was going to actually do planting - not just dig a hole! All this man did was dig a hole approximately 1" bigger than the size of the size and stick the trees in the ground. When I plant (and I just got thru planting 21 plants in my yard), I dig a hole 1-1/2 times the size of the pot, put in a layer of mushroom compost, and then use a purchased garden soil to pack in around the plant (watering it as I go to make sure there aren't any air holes), before covering it with some of the original dirt. This man didn't do anything more than dig a hole and drop the tree - he didn't even water to assure there weren't air pockets in there that could kill the trees. Add to that he did NOTHING to wrap the trunks to protect them from sun damage until they can get more foliage to protect themselves (I live in AZ). This all cost me $365 ($350 plus a $15 tip because I didn't see what kind of a job he had done when I paid him - I just saw the job was done). Not to mention he didn't even haul the dirt away or put my brick borders back in place. I think there needs to be some teaching about customer service on the nursery's part as well as job training for the planting people they hire out. read more

Saturday was my first visit and I loved it. I emailed a few questions on Friday about a tree and sizes. They were quick to respond. They even listed the prices of the trees I inquired about. Some nurseries won't quote a price, so I was pleasantly surprised to see the openness. The better part wss their price was half compared to MV. Over the past year I have purchased three ficus trees as well as other plants here. The trees were 15 gal and very healthy when I purchased them. Just planted the last two today. The price was extremely good and the team at Treeland is fantastic. They provided all the details on the mulch and B1 to use to help the trees grow. They also let me know that these take long to get established as do most trees in Arizona as the roots fight through our clay soil. They may be slow glowing, but since ficus is one of the cleanest trees and this is about 15 feet from my pool, it was my preference. I called in advance and got instructions and was treated very well. The guys loaded these two trees into my Honda Civic for the 2-mile drive home. Everything arrived intact. After going to Home Depot and Lowe's and not one employee had the knowledge of the name of a plant I had on my iPhone...we drove to Treeland. We walked in, asked for someone who knows about plants....and Josh came to assist us. I showed him the photo and he immediately identified it! Not many places are as busy as a nursery on a Sat morning in March. So hubs and I were expecting a long wait when we pulled up and saw the full parking lot. However, it was just a few moments after our arrival that Eric appeared with a pull-cart and a smile. We told him what we wanted (10 bouganvillea to work as fence-climber deterrents) and he set to work finding us the best of the bunch. He didn't even grumble when I changed my mind and wanted to swap a couple of honey-suckle for 2 of the bouganvillea. After a disappointing visit to Moon Valley the day before, working with the folks at Treeland was everything we could have hoped for. Price were better than the big-box stores, they offer planting services (!), and the customer service was outstanding. We have a new nursery! read more

In the past i have always used Treeland, but sadly that has changed. I ordered some bushes, the guy who helped me was ok but rushed me thro the process. So I ended up coming home and measuring(yes I should have done it before, but the guy seemed to know the length of a standard pool(15 ft!!!!!!!!!!He said))so even though I should have gone home and measured first i didn't. I thought I had paid for everything including delivery and planting. That was wrong too. They brought the plants it took them less than an hour, then he was knocking on the door for $400 for planting. I called Treeland and spoke to Josh, he was shall we say "not very nice" so after my conversation with him I told them to take the plants back. A few days later after clearing up all the mess the planters left including the dirt and stones in the pool, I found one of my ceramic flowers on the ground BROKEN. They were an xmas present so I called and spoke to Josh again. Sorry I did that, his attitude was "they never mentioned it and you took a week to call!" So I can say that even though some of this was my own fault, the attitude of this guy was such that I will not be going back. read more

I have been purchasing at Tree Land nursery for the past 3 to 4 years. Never in this time have I been treated so badly by accusations as I did today!. I own a landscape company and drive 30 miles one way to purchase material from this nursery because I like the quality of their plants and trees. Today it was 3:55 PM five minutes before closing time I asked if it was OK to still purchase a couple trees that I needed for a job on Saturday. I was told that if the door wasn't closed I can still come in, and I went picked my trees came to the cash register and paid for them, as I was about to leave to have them loaded on my truck one of the employees came up to the counter and accused me of removing tags on a citrus tree that was marked for another customer. He said that this had happened two days ago or three, I did purchase citrus trees four of them to be exact a week ago from today. This has not been the first time that I spent almost $1000 on trees I've done this multiple times because I've been purchasing from them for almost 4 years. I told him in front of the cashier that I never pull tags because that would be wrong to do. He said that he had investigated and that I was the one who purchased the tree a Lisbon lemon to be exact and that because I purchased it I was the one who pulled the tag on it. I am completely appalled at this man's accusations towards me! I approached him in the parking lot as he was loading my trees that I had just paid for and told him that I was going to warn him just like he had warned me that if he ever saw one of my employees or myself pulling the tag or one of the tree land employees catching one of my employees or myself pulling a tag to let me know so that I could correct this if that were the case. I told him that he should not be accusing anybody if he had not physically seen them or if another one of the employees have physically seen them. I have marked trees in the past and come back to pick them up just to find out that somebody else had purchased them, I've never made a big stink or bitched about this. He said to make sure to let them know if that would happen so that he could take care of it. I honestly feel that it is very disrespectful to just come out and lash and blatantly accuse somebody of something that they are not sure that that person did or not. I am going to contact either the general manager of Tree Land nurseries or one of the owners and express my dissatisfaction with the quality customer service or may I say lack of customer service that this employee has Demonstrated to me today. read more

We've had such good luck with the fruit trees we've bought here Our Apricot and pomegranate are marvelously supplying us with bountiful fruits every year. I still have yet to can the fruit that gets eaten up quickly. I did manage to make a little grenadine with a couple of pomegranates. Stopped by Home Depot looking for vines to shade my patio. A bit disappointed I decided to google local nurseries. The closest was Treeland so I heade that way. I was a bit overwhelmed at first. I flagged down a gentlemen named Eric. He was very helpful. Without hesitation he showed me to the vines. After a short conversation and a few questions he had me loaded up and on my way.
