When we moved into our neighborhood, we inherited some pretty substantial trees. Why mess with a good thing so we use what our original owner neighbor of 53 years use- David Cornelison, certified arborist, who supervises every job onsite to ensure customer satisfaction. He has done multiple jobs for us over the last 3 years, and has counseled us on a camphor tree removal to save our concrete. Responsive, professional and honest. The work is almost like an art form, so the tree trimmings don't look like a hack chainsaw lateral shave. Don't skimp on this important part of your landscaping. We get compliments all of the time on how we take care of our trees! read more

We had five different trees to be pruned and each one was expertly cut. Each person working with David, the arborist, knew exactly what they were doing and we have great confidence in their approach and work. A year later their work holds. read more

A neighbor referred us, and we were very satisfied. David came first and gave us estimate and many recommendations on simple care for all of the trees we inherited with a property we purchased. The estimate was very reasonable, and we hired them. The crew came and David stopped by to oversee work, and we are so happy now. No more jungle and we might get some fruit! I highly recommend Tree Care Arborists! We live in Long Beach and were serviced well, and would hire them again read more

A BIG shout out to David Cornelison of Tree Care Arborists for the fantastic removal of a very large 50-year-old pine tree and almost as big 40-ish year old ficus tree in my backyard. Pine tree had gotten beetle infestation and the ficus was planted in the wrong place by me decades ago and was ready to take out my wall. Also a big shout-out for how well the plantings went the next day with the new trees. David had taken out a prior pine tree a couple of years ago and I liked how he handled things, and his crew. So I got some other bids which were competitive and decided on David because I knew his work. Attached pictures show the original trees, after they were removed, and the replacement trees that we agreed on. (Yelp has not put them in the correct order). These guys came in with all the right equipment, got the job done well, were very conscientious and knowledgeable, were willing to listen to my suggestions and let me know if they agreed or why they disagreed. And they cleaned up very well afterwards. When the replacement trees were delivered today, the smaller of the three, a 15 gallon as opposed to the other two 24 gallons, was much shorter than I had anticipated. David and I discussed it and we agreed on a replacement. That's the replacement tree on the right where there are two trees against the same wall. David immediately offered to replace it today and while his crew were planting the two big trees he went out and got the replacement tree. That's what I call great customer service! I highly recommend him for his arbor services! read more

We just had a job completed by TreeCare Arborists, and I couldn't be happier with the entire process, including the results. They responded promptly to our request for an onsite estimate, they listened to all our concerns and preferences, they offered knowledgeable advice to maintain the health of the trees, they arrived on time for the quote and the job, they were extremely careful and considerate of our property, did beautiful work thinning, shaping and reducing our trees and shrubs just as requested, and did a thorough cleanup after completion. They were an organized team that completed the job quickly due to efficiency and experience, not by rushing through it. Their price was very reasonable and didn't even charge us extra when they ended up doing a little more than the quote covered. I would highly recommend them to anyone who cares about the health and appearance of their trees and shrubs. read more

David knows his stuff. He is an encyclopedia of information and provides top level service at very reasonable prices. I've had him come out and fix a botched trimming job another crew did. He has come out and trimmed several of our trees. Recently we had him over to take a look at a bunch of trees we planted that are in shock. I highly recommend him, his services and his crew. He seems to treat his customers and his workers very well. read more

I have been using the services of Dave, TreeCare Arborists for over 10 years now, annually generally at least twice. Sometimes I have to wait for him to respond or come, since I know he will respond and come, I always plan ahead so I'm not at the end of the pruning season or at the beginning of the wind season which gives him time to service all of his clients. He is absolutely worth waiting for. His service and work is 10/10 - the tree care is the best you can get, the clean up is perfection, no other plants are broken or mashed. For tree trunk removal he is the best I've experienced in over 40 years. He also removed a large mess of bamboo and bamboo shoots and the area remains bamboo free after 3 years, amazing! His prices are good, and are much better than companies that are not CA licensed arborists. Thanks Dave, for continued years of high quality dependable service at a price I can afford. read more

David was very knowledgable and gave a very fair quote. He came with his crew the day of the trimming and reviewed the job to be done with his team and myself before work began. The yard was left immaculately clean after they were finished trimming the trees. He gave recommendations on what time of year certain trees should be trimmed as well as letting me know some trees were not being watered correctly. David really has a passion for his work and cares that your trees are cared for properly! read more

He was very knowledgeable and easy to work with. He took the time to thoroughly diagnose, and help me understand the issues. David returned with his crew and did an excellent job treating, pruning, removing, and planting a new tree. Everyone was professional, and cleaned up when the job was done. Thanks! read more

I've use David for about 8 years on a few properties of mine. It may be cheaper to go with one of the door knockers but you won't get the same job. He Loves his trees. He's a trained and licensed arborist and the completed job demonstrates that. My front yard tree is the envy of the neighborhood. He has also made an ugly tree on a rental property of mine palatable. I've told neighbors and friends about him and they are very pleased too. Check him out. read more

You won't be disappointed with David and his crew. After an initial consultation with David the date and time were scheduled. They arrived on time, went right to work and kept the pace from beginning to end. I'm very happy with the results.. . TreeCare Arborists provided us with exceptional service. They came highly recommended by several of our Nextdoor neighbors. We contacted TreeCareArborists back in November to evaluate our trees that were having either drought related or pruning problems. We were impressed by the amount of time that the owner (a certified arborist) took to carefully evaluate our 12 trees, develop a care and pruning plan, and provide a very fair proposal for the work to be done at the correct pruning time for three of our trees. His knowledge is vast and his love of trees and his work just shone through during our conversation. He also provided great care recommendations for our citrus and other fruit trees. The owner explained that TreeCare Arborists' approach is to return the natural shape of the tree when trimming to restore both the tree's appearance and health. Our 30-foot high, 30-foot wide, wildly out-of-control Carrotwood and two 25-year never before pruned Crape Myrtles looked terrible and we were eager to have TreeCare Arborists on the job. Our pruning was scheduled for February and was completed this past Tuesday. TreeCare Arborists arrived on time, reviewed the work to be done with us, and immediately started their work. They trimmed and shaped our trees with great artistry and efficiency. The crew coordinated their work well, cleaning as they went along and left our property immaculate. The trimming results and tree transformation were simply amazing. Our Carrotwood tree has never looked so good and the shape is now proportioned and lovely. The Crape Myrtles are also beautifully shaped and the improved appearance of these trees greatly enhance our garden. We are very glad to have selected TreeCare Arborists as our tree trimming and care specialists. We look forward to our next project in April (tree selection and planting). TreeCare Arborists are professional, a pleasure to work with and we recommend them highly! read more

David won our business this spring when he declined to trim our Italian Stone Pine as the weather was warming up. He said that the rest of our requested work was all seasonally appropriate and offered a great price for that work. He also directed me to a great nursery to find the right Crepe Myrtle to replace an old tree that was removed as part of the work and then planted it. It is obvious when you talk with David that he is a highly trained arborist and after many years of caring for rental properties the value of a trained and licensed arborist cannot be overstated. read more

I was having problems with one of my trees losing its leaves and two other trees were overgrown and problems with roots. We used this company to remove a tree in our front yard. When a different company came to plant a new tree they found that the stump was ground only part way and not removed. Consequently they could not plant the new tree and we are incurring the additional expense of hiring another company to come and remove the stump. Very unhappy with their work and would not recommend this company. read more

We have a few avocado and fruit trees that produce a wonderful amount of fruit. I didn't want someone to come in an just cut branches. David knows everything about trees from the soil to the top. David really knows his business and I would never use anyone else. Helen Miller read more

I interviewed three different companies. David's knowledge and friendly disposition got him the job. I appreciate that he was present during the job to manage the crew as well as help with the work. His work exemplifies what a "real" arborist is. When I pulled up to the house after the job was completed, I almost didn't recognize it. The trees were beautifully shaped and thinned, the soil treatment that he recommended made a huge difference. I appreciate that the crew showed up on time, reviewed with me the work to be completed, and friendly on top of that. David was easy to be in contact with and everything from first appointment to completion was efficient. I will definitely be calling on this crew again. read more

Just had a pine tree removed from our front lawn yesterday. They arrived on time, checked in with us to verify that we wanted the tree removed and quickly got to work. In no time, they had cut down the tree. It was amazing to watch them work so quickly - they made it look so easy!. They shredded the branches and cut down the trunk into smaller pieces and hauled it all away. They grinded the tree stump down into the garden so much so that you wouldn't know a tree was ever there. Everything was cleaned up before they left. If i need another tree removed, i'd hire them again in a heartbeat. read more

Was hesitant to hire just any tree trimmer. Based on other yelp reviews called Tree Care Arborist. Absolutely thrilled with David and his crew. Initial consultation was great, explained what was going on with some sick trees and provided quote on trimming and other remediation. Impressed with his knowledge and thoroughness. Communicated appointment changes well in advance based on expected weather forecast and showed up right on time. Crew did a great job today on all 5 trees and remediation. Discussed on going self care and left the yard, driveway and street clean. David supervised the crew the entire time. Very impressed. David is our go to from now on.
