Two years ago, a mini-tornado took out a large tree of our neighbor and damaged one of ours slightly. While not scheduled. Best Tree Care guys quickly addressed the damage to our tree, at low cost since in the area taking care of neighbor's tree. I thought what a good company. This November Brad, the owner of Best Tree Care, discussed with me the needs of our overgrown and freeze damaged trees. WOW did they do a superb job! I figured they were probably busy like the rest of us with the holidays so that's why they never called back. Yesterday however I called again. Brad picked up and I said I needed someone to look at my live oak. He asked if I needed it trimmed and I said no it is struggling and needs some help. Then I heard a dial tone. I thought for sure that was a mistake so I called back twice and both times was put to voicemail. I left a message voicing my frustration of leaving so many messages, not getting a reply, and then to be hang-up on? Still no call back. I guess Brad may be good with trimming trees, but has no idea how to get them healthy. Whatever the case - certainly not "Best" in my opinion. Good luck.

I called, the service was rescheduled for two days later. Stayed home all day so that the broken branch and another branch could be taken care of. It was another NO SHOW and no call or text! I have never heard from them again. Guess they don't need the work.

My neighbor hired them and we were lucky enough to be there and witness Carlos and his crew first-hand. We watched as Carlos discussed with my neighbors where he thought would be best to cut to keep the tree healthy, what needed to go, what shouldn't be touched at all. He is truly in the camp of "less is more" and was extremely thorough about discussing, checking, and rechecking before actually making cuts. Then he also pointed out where poison ivy had been growing along the tree and discussed options of how to actually get rid of it for good (seriously, I was there for maybe 5 minutes and learned so much---this is a skilled arborist company, they really know their stuff!). Then my family and I moved to a new house that had numerous trees that needed a little TLC---some branches that were too close to the roof, some trees that just needed the dead cleared away, etc. Again, Carlos and his crew arrived on scene in a timely manner, then proceeded to walk the entire property and mark all places they thought would be best to cut (while ultimately deferring to my husband & I on if that was what WE wanted). After everything was marked, the crew got to work while Carlos supervised the entire time. He brought us out again after the cuts were all made, and then again for a final walk-through to make sure that we were satisfied with all of the clean-up. Our trees are now all happy, healthy and not in danger of hitting our roof (hooray!). We even have a plan in place on what trees to watch for and monitor, and what trees are fine as-is. Seriously, so impressed. We will be using Discount Tree & Land Services for many years to come!
