Two years ago, a mini-tornado took out a large tree of our neighbor and damaged one of ours slightly. While not scheduled. I figured they were probably busy like the rest of us with the holidays so that's why they never called back. Yesterday however I called again. Brad picked up and I said I needed someone to look at my live oak. He asked if I needed it trimmed and I said no it is struggling and needs some help. Then I heard a dial tone. I thought for sure that was a mistake so I called back twice and both times was put to voicemail. I left a message voicing my frustration of leaving so many messages, not getting a reply, and then to be hang-up on? Still no call back. I guess Brad may be good with trimming trees, but has no idea how to get them healthy. Whatever the case - certainly not "Best" in my opinion. Good luck.

I noticed that they had completely topped the tree in his front yard and I assumed that they were completely taking the tree out however, they left the trunk of the tree standing without a canopy. I went back to work before noticing them doing the same to a tree in the backyard. I stopped the workers and asked what they were doing and why? They pretended not hear me or understand my questions and continued working. I contacted the homeowner asking if he was aware that the contractor was completely topping his trees. He stated that they had been hired to clear the undergrowth however, they notified him that the tree was split down the middle and needed to be addressed. He does not live in the area and authorized them to do what was necessary to address the problem. It appears that he is being taken for a ride since the solution to a cracked limb is not to completely top the canopy of two different trees. To be clear I did not request these services however, the homeowner did not request the services that were delivered. Munoz Tree Service is taking advantage of his geographic separation from the property to perform additional unneeded work that is ultimately going to kill these trees. Furthermore, it is clear they do not have any skills or training is best practices for tree trimming as topping a trees canopy is not recommended as a technique for tree trimming. Buyer beware.

He is very knowledgeable yet easy going - not condescending at all. The work started and ended as scheduled. His crew is friendly and hard-working. David really is damn good at pruning. He did a lot himself and watched his crew hawkishly. The outcome is more than expected for a reasonable price. Our trees look beautiful and were cut to exactly the ramifications we agreed to, and David gave me a list of tasks to help the unhealthy ones.

I mistakenly paid him before really checking the work and later found that they missed several dead branches, including one obvious large one. There were also a few limbs growing into my neighbor's yard that they were also supposed to cut back. It's my fault for not catching this but when I texted Oscar to let him know I didn't think they had done all the work we discussed, he refused to come back. He wouldn't even come get the big dead limb that I ended up cutting down myself. I will never use him again and urge you not to use Oscar/Mejia Landscaping.

I called around 8 am and Oscar answered and was able to do the job that day! He cut the tree without leaving a large and they cleaned up afterward. I wasn't on the property for that job so after they were finished he stopped by my house for a check after showing me a picture of the job. He also fixes fences so the next day he came back with a crew and they finished replacing a fence on both sides of the house and a gate on one side. So both jobs were done right away and the prices were very reasonable. The crew worked hard and cleaned up after they left. I especially liked the hardware he put on the fence gate.
