I contacted Tree Pros and received a visit from the estimator Anthony, a thoroughly professional young man. We discussed exactly what needed to be done, he took some phots for reference and we agreed a price. A week later the gang arrived. 4 guys well equipped for climbing, sawing and blowing. They had a large Chipper and proceeded to do their thing. 3 hours later I had two beautifully shaped Eucalyptus trees and a very clean yard. Thanks to all who made that happen. I don't even know where to start! This is the second time I have used Tree Pro's and I should of known better. The first time they had to come back twice due to the first crew did not complete the job as instructed and the clean up was a mess. The second crew was much better! So here we go again! They were suppose to come on a Friday as I wanted to be present for the job. I took off work! I was told that they would be there between 1;00 and 4:00 at 3:40 I get a call instructing me that they were not going to be able to make it and "Sorry"! I waited for them all day and I get a Sorry! So now they re-scheduled. I took off work again and I could not believe it they get there and they come to the door and say " We don't have enough room on the truck to take all the trimmings from the tree! Are you kidding me! So they left a huge pile of branches and they said they would be back first thing Monday morning to finish the clean up. Monday I get home and sure enough everything is still there NO clean up. Of course they close at 5 and I am unable to reach anyone. I call the next day and the gal I spoke with tells me that they wont be able to come out until Thursday. I told her that was totally unacceptable and that I was told it would be done Monday. The person that did the quote and 1 other crewman came out after hours and took the rest of the branches and logs on Tuesday. He also told me that when they come to do the stump removal they would finish blowing out the rocks. And of course that did not happen either! The branches laid on 2 of my Century Plants for so long that they flattened them and now they look horrible and will more then likely die. Now for the payment. That's another nightmare in itself. It has been many months since I had Tree Pro complete the tree pruning at my house. First off I chose Tree Pro over their competition because of the professionalism of their company to start. Nice wrapped truck and salesman with a white shirt with certified arborist patches on his shirt- salesman was young but knowledgeable and professional and I was impressed enough to contract with them for the job. The company was on time for their date-time and the crew was very efficient, or should I say fast. So fast that the really "gouged" up my fruit trees, actually leaving a big open area in what was a full tree. This was noticed in the days following the work They also were contracted to grind a stump. again they were on time except almost as soon as they began the stump grinder broke down. They left the mess and told me they would be back in the afternoon. they never showed up. I called the next day and was told that they could not come out until the following week- The company was not even told by their employees that the job was not done. I cleaned their mess and the came out within a few days and finished the job at no charge. Their communication was horrible and how this company handled this part of it was just unbelievably bad. My sales rep did discount the pruning job (by gift cards to me) and completed the grinding without charge so they did attempt to make it right, They also did a deep fertilize on the fruit trees (at no charge) that they pretty much screwed up. The fertilizer did work well. The problem with this company is a "certified arborist" can evaluate and sell the proper way to prune the trees (especially fruit trees) but the crew's job is to get done as fast as they can- and that's the problem- You can have speed or quality and I got speed. I gave two stars as the salesman did his best to make the best out of a bad situation. I never did hear from the owner or manager with an apology or explanation on how things could have gone so wrong. I did expect a call from them but it was never received. They have contacted me recently for follow up work but the entire experience was bad enough that I will not consider them for service again. read more

These guys did an amazing job on what I thought was a tricky tree removal. They have a guy who claims the tree like a monkey with a chain saw. Spoke to him afterward- he is second generation at this work Could not be happier with the work they did- from removal to stump grinding and follow-up these guys are professional. Not happy at all with the work that was done. They did not live up to their estimate. And this was after them coming back for a second try. The in person estimate said they would reduce the size of the trees by 40%. When they sent the written estimate it said 35%. We called on this and the estimate writer confirmed that it would be 40% reduction in size. They were also supposed to thin out the trees dramatically. When the crew arrived they started on the 8 Eucalyptus trees. We noticed that the reduction wasn't much. We went and asked the crew leader how much they were reducing. He said 25%. We made the call to the office. During this whole process they never called back...except...from their payment dept. He wanted to charge the remainder to our card. We said no, not until it was done as per the estimate. The next week a crew just showed up (no call) and said they were reducing the height of the trees to match the estimate. I wasn't here, just my wife. If I knew they were coming I would have stayed home to be there. She asked about the thinning. They said no they weren't doing any more thinning. They then charged the card without asking. We never were able to talk directly with the estimator. Very unprofessional. In addition, the crew didn't clean up the cuttings. They just used a blower to blow it around the property. Very unhappy, I would tell anyone thinking of using them to BEWARE. POOR WORK, POOR CONTACT, POOR END RESULT. Do not use this company. Pete gave us the estimate and we needed the work done quickly, within a week, due to some other work we are having done. One star (minimum allowed). Unlike all these ***** reviews, my "experience" wasn't an experience but rather a waste of time. I requested an estimate to have my shrubs removed/replaced and trees trimmed. The person ("Paul something") came out and it seemed like (over the phone) he was trying to dissuade me from moving forward with the job because the minimum expense would need to be ~$950 v. the usual ~$650 (location was mentioned as the reason although I was also told I was within their service area). I made it clear that I had a ~2k budget in mind. Paul seemed to be agreeable and so I assumed the estimate would come in around this amount. But Paul something came back with an estimate 3x that amount. Their email announcing the estimate (10/12/20) states "If you would like to schedule any of the services listed on your estimate, please contact..." along with "Your experience with our company is of the highest priority..." So I replied that I was good with 2 of the 4 services (shrubs removed/replace) later the same day. This amounted to $1.8k so it worked for me. The third thing ($1.3k they listed on the quote for "Soil Injection/Treatments") I declined but would have been open to discussing further because that seemed excessive for fertilizer. I declined the fourth thing ($3.2k they added to install a separate drip system). Remember, I told Paul something I had a ~$2k budget. When I didn't hear back, I called Paul something to discuss the work I was comfortable with and also to discuss the proposed "treatments". Said he'd call back. Never heard from him or anyone at "Tree Pros" again. Perhaps not a lucrative enough job for them? read more

The first time I have used their service. I called in and received a quick response in regards to when they could send out an arborist to look at the job that I had requested. I had a very large tree in my backyard approximately 40 feet tall. They arrived as expected and called approximately 30 minutes prior to ensure I was available as I had requested. Within 24 hours I had scheduled a Time and date for the service. The guys who showed up were very professional and got right to work with helping move some rear yard furniture and a very large umbrella. I was gone during the service and when I return the rear yard was completely cleaned up and the tree was trimmed just as I expected. The fees charged or reasonable considering the job and the final bill was charged just as described! read more

Today, after a micro burst took out our huge Chilean Mesquite, they are here to remove the tree. I used this company to trim 2 trees and to treat 2 trees. The "arborist" of course tried to sell me extensive feeding. While I felt he was professional, this company does not supervise the quality of work their crews do. The crew absolutely made a mess of my grapefruit tree. It is now oddly shaped and I will have to have someone come out and fix what they did at an additional expense. A member of their crew kept asking me questions that made me feel very uncomfortable, and he insisted that I write positive feedback when I signed off on the job. Yikes! Do yourself a favor and hire professionals. I am very happy to report that Tree Pros were responsive to my concerns and sent another crew out to remedy the tree. Jhonny and his crew were courteous, professional, and trimmed the tree up to a beautiful specimen. I've had this tree 23 years, it's nice to see its full potential. I have been a customer of Tree Pros for years. After my experience with them this year, I am no longer going to use Tree Pros. I have had them out 4 times since Feb to remove the dead and dying wood off my eucalyptus tree. Each time they leave without finishing the job. Like other reviewers on Yelp, the crew states they do not have enough time and leave. This last time, just a week ago, the crew reported to management that I was asking them to trim off twigs. So the management at Tree Pros decided I am impossible to please and offered me my money back. No one else looks at the dead and dying branches, not twigs, in my tree without agreeing with me that these branches need to be removed. At this point I have paid Tree Pros over $1500 just this year and still have dead and dying wood in my tree. They did take some branches and one limb out, thus the 1 star. read more

Don't Expect Results. I had Tree Pros come out in April to look at two Palo Verde Trees. One had no leaves and the other looked in need of attention. I was told the trees were both alive, but what I needed was 4 drip lines on each tree and a $200 soil treatment. My landscaper put in the drip lines and I paid Tree Pros for the soil treatment. This $200 soil treatment was completed in less than 5 minutes. The price wouldn't have been a problem if it worked. I contacted Tree Pros in June because there was no change. Tree Pros came out again, and sold me a product called "All Care" for $38. This didn't work either. Now it is almost November and still no improvement-not one leave on the tree. I spoke with the general manager Jason and he said, they don't guarantee treatment. He actually compared his service to a doctor treating cancer with chemotherapy, saying there is no guarantees. I asked him for a refund or to make this right and improve the health of my trees. He said they don't guarantee their service. My opinion? You might as well go to the nursery and do it yourself.... read more

We just had a tech come out and I am impressed. He was very nice, professional and extremely knowledgeable. When I completed the information request form I made a note saying "DO NOT CALL, PLEASE. I AM WORKING." 6 calls later, Jennifer finally texted me a quote. I paid the asking price and Kirk came out and did a nice job cutting the trees. Sadly, he also filled my pool with tree trimmings and broke an outside light off at the ground. We had 3 huge pine trees removed in our front yard, and the stumps ground down, by Tree Pros. Front start to finish we were completely thrilled with the service we received. Excellent job. They took great care to protect everything & everyone around when bringing down the trees. They also left our yard immaculate and even got up on the roof to clean off any debris. Will definitely call them if we decide to plant a new tree as well. They also did major tree trimming in our next door neighbors yard and he was just as happy with their service. On time and safe! We had a 60' tree within a 10 foot space between our house and the neighbor and they very efficiently and safely removed all the large branches hanging over both houses. They cleaned up very well, almost like they vacuumed. Stump removal left the area looking like no tree had ever been there. All employees were polite and friendly. Oscar, had come to our house to do the quote, He was friendly and thorough and realistic.This is Important! I had another company give me a quote that was half as much, and the man had written and told me on the phone "I have seen the tree"- but, he had not. The other company based their quote on ...get this, a satellite photo! And when he arrived at our house immediately sent a text to cancel the job! I bet that guy doesn't want a roofing company giving him quotes by satellite photographs! Anyway, lately we have given Tree Pros name to several people because they did such excellent work, and were friendly, and the price realistic. Watch the crews like a hawk!!! I had a couple of trees and bushes removed in late December and one of the two crews that came out damaged my block wall. Unfortunately for me I didn't see it happen, but am positive that those were the only two vehicles through the alleyway the entire day. There was a large garbage can that was in the way of a vehicle, was moved, and tipped over and fell into the block wall causing around $600 worth of damage. After calling TreePros about an hour or two after the incident, they sent Brian out to assess the damage. Brian is extremely difficult to work with and rude. He blamed garbage trucks and contractors across the alley before even asking me what I saw. After Brian stopped returning my calls, I tried contacting a supervisor at the main office, and surprise, nobody returned my calls there either. Small claims court fees would be close to 50% of the cost of the repair and unfortunately I wasn't watching the work being done so my evidence isn't rock solid. Never calling them again. read more

I decided to use Tree Pros for my Canary Island Date Palm removal because they had the best overall price for both cutting the tree down and grinding the stump after I haggled with them a bit to get the price down. I have no complaints about the actual tree removal and stump grinding except for the fact that they put a few small dents in my garage door when grinding the stump, but the idiots who owned my house before me put gravel in the palm tree planter. My fiance said that they had a little hockey net-looking thing to catch the flying debris, but it had some holes in it and some of the gravel ended up getting through and denting the garage door. I think they did the best they could given the situation, though, and they even ground the stump down below where they said they were going to. My biggest problem with Tree Pros lies with their office staff. They are extremely disorganized and their customer service is horrible. I received better customer service from the arborists than the receptionists, and as a former receptionist myself, I find that unacceptable. I offered to be flexible with scheduling due to the discount they gave me, and then they didn't even show up on the agreed upon day. I called the office an hour after the end of the window of time during which the crew was supposed to come to cut down my tree. One of the receptionists scrambled for an excuse and ended up having to call me back after getting an explanation. Their truck was supposedly pulled over for emissions testing or something and that put them behind schedule by several hours, causing my appointment to be bumped back two days. The receptionist really should have called to tell me that my appointment was going to be rescheduled due to unpreventable circumstances. The fact that I had to call them to find out what was going on after they didn't show up at my house to complete the work is ridiculous. I also never felt like the receptionist was listening to me when I was talking to him on the phone. I spelled my last name for him at least three times and he still managed to get it wrong and lied to me that he had it spelled correctly. The female receptionist ended up having to correct his mistake later. Additionally, someone charged my credit card for the non-refundable $75 deposit twice and then had to refund one of the charges. Dealing with their office staff was a nightmare, and I was often left wondering if the work was going to be completed at all. If it wasn't for Daniel and Jose, I wouldn't have done business with Tree Pros. They seriously need to re-evaluate their office staff. read more

And if that's not enough, they have tossed customer service out the window, too. They did not show up for the estimate the day they were scheduled. This is a second posting of the same review, because the first one was 'filtered' ... I think because it was my first Yelp review. So, I'm trying again! =========================== I recently contacted Tree Pros to get an estimate on trimming 2 trees in preparation for the monsoon season, removing an old tree root with sprouts, and planting of a new tree . Daniel came out, gave an estimate and suggested a deep root fertilization for all the trees and palms. We accepted the proposal. The appointment was set to complete the fertilization and the following week complete the remainder of the work. We 'think' all the trees and palms were fertilized; unfortunately no way to actually determine. The next week the trees were trimmed in the middle section however neither was shaped, meaning nothing was removed from the outside of the trees called the 'tip weight'. In addition, the old root wasn't removed and the new tree was planted without a water source!!! The water source was specifically discussed with the crew prior to them starting the work. I called Daniel to express my dissatisfaction; he came to the house a few days later and was completely amazed at the poor workmanship. The second visit resulted in the trees being trimmed/shaped properly and the tree being put on the drip system - however there was no water coming through the emiter. The root was not removed. The root was finally removed on the third visit and the emiter for the tree produced water. The only call received after visit three was to ask for payment. I contemplated delaying payment however I wanted to end the relationship with Tree Pros as quickly as possible. My final words ... proceed with caution!! read more

TreePros did an excellent job of trimming my 4 very large mesquites, 1 palo verde, and 4 medium-sized acacias. All these trees had never been properly trimmed in 15+ years. The crew arrived on time, worked like crazy for hours, and cleaned every thing up afterwards. My brother-in-law was here the whole time and he went on and on about what a great job TreePros did. I got an estimate from another company that was almost 3 times what TreePros charged me. I would definitely recommend TreePros. read more

Andrew from tree pros was so great to work with. I had a 50 ft eucalyptus in my backyard that was mostly dead and needed to be removed. I filled out online quote request forms from four different companies offering tree removal. I got a call back a day later from Tree Pros and Andrew was able to come give me a quote right then. I never even heard back from the other companies. I finally got two other tree removal companies to come give me quotes and Tree Pros was cheaper by nearly $300. The Tree Pros crew came out today to remove the tree. The power lines to our house needed to be disconnected because of course the tree was leaning over them. Tree Pros coordinated with SRP. Both crews showed up, worked together and had the power back on to my house in less than 30 minutes. The whole job including hauling away the tree and cleaning up the mess took about an hour. I can't believe how quickly they were able to complete the job. I will definitely be using them again. read more

My tree was scheduled to be removed on 7/25 and the stump was supposed to be removed on 7/26. Tree Pros rescheduled the stump removal 3 times (over a period of three weeks) using a variety of excuses. On the third reschedule, they simply did not show up. In addition, half the tree was still in my yard! I finally had enough and fired them. At that point, I had to rent a trailer, haul rest of the tree (2 1/2 tons of wood) to the dump on my day off and hire another company to grind the stump. Tree Pros then attempted to charge my credit card without my authorization for a slightly reduced remaining balance! This company is not reliable. Their business practices are unethical and their communication is terrible. I will be filing a complaint with the BBB. read more

Since I wasn't home to oversee the trim job, there was one tree that was under trimmed. However, they sent a crew to come fix that once I called them about it.
