Jarrod, our tour guide, was so knowledgeable and passionate about the brewery, history, science, product, and community involvement. He gave us an amazing tour and offered to take pictures of us in the brewery. The food is unique and delicious. Just like the beer menu the food menu is limited, but extremely high quality. What they do do they do flawlessly. The inside restaurant, beer garden, land scape, and brewery itself were immaculately clean. This location in Hinsdale, near the Olean border, is easy to reach and there's lots of parking: They're on the lot of Trapper's Park. There's lots of pavilion seating, and places for kids to run around. Service was quick and friendly, and the portions were huge! My fish fry was 3/4 pound filet! (Available Fridays only). This location has a lot more street noise, but it was pleasant to hear the crickets. Unlike the Yorkshire location, they are open only Fri-Sun, 11-7. The ribs were very tasty, but a little over done. I don't mind the charred coating on most bar-b-q, but this had too many burned meat edges. The chicken was OK, not a lot of bar-b-q flavor. All of the sides were pretty good. For $8.00, it was a sizable meal and overall, not bad. The complete menu will also have steak sandwiches, collard greens, and macaroni and cheese. Most businesses that opened here have not survived very long. There has been Mexican and Lebanese style diners, plus pizza and sub shops in this location and I don't think any have been there more than a few years. The steak was completely unseasoned, just cooked meat. We ordered Cajun seasoning on the shrimp and pretty sure they, too, were plain with no flavor. The mashed potatoes and gravy were good. THE BEST steak and prime rib in town without a doubt! Great burgers with a good variety to try! Good garlic butter pasta. The best steamed and buttered broccoli you'll ever have in your life! Nice big portion of spaghetti with meatballs. The meatballs are big and juicy. Good fried pickles. Good beer and drink options. Skilled bartenders. Very very very clean looking behind the bar always. No sticky bar, no dirty cups piled up, no fruit flies, no gummy soda guns, no stale beer smell, no dusty bottles.... very nicely kept. The only disappointment/thing I don't like on the menu is the little frozen premade beer fish fry. They're such a great restaurant, I think they should do their own big hunk of beer battered fish fry dinner instead at least for lent. My 2023 review issues have all been resolved! Yay!
