The building is historical and used to be Olean brewing company prior to prohibition. They redid this place so well while keeping original things. Jarrod, our tour guide, was so knowledgeable and passionate about the brewery, history, science, product, and community involvement. He gave us an amazing tour and offered to take pictures of us in the brewery. The food is unique and delicious. Just like the beer menu the food menu is limited, but extremely high quality. What they do do they do flawlessly. The inside restaurant, beer garden, land scape, and brewery itself were immaculately clean. This location in Hinsdale, near the Olean border, is easy to reach and there's lots of parking: They're on the lot of Trapper's Park. This location has a lot more street noise, but it was pleasant to hear the crickets. Unlike the Yorkshire location, they are open only Fri-Sun, 11-7. The owner said he didn't announce being open yet, because he wanted to kind of test the waters first. The partial menu consisted of ribs, chicken and 4 sides: baked beans, cole slaw, applesauce and macaroni salad. Each dinner came with 2 sides. We ordered one of each. The ribs were very tasty, but a little over done. I don't mind the charred coating on most bar-b-q, but this had too many burned meat edges. The chicken was OK, not a lot of bar-b-q flavor. All of the sides were pretty good. For $8.00, it was a sizable meal and overall, not bad. The complete menu will also have steak sandwiches, collard greens, and macaroni and cheese. Most businesses that opened here have not survived very long. There has been Mexican and Lebanese style diners, plus pizza and sub shops in this location and I don't think any have been there more than a few years. One of the major problems is the limited parking.

Came on a Thursday evening for dinner at the recommendation of the hotel. Upon arriving, it is immediately recognized to be a dive bar. I was all for it. Two of us were quickly seated at a booth. We ordered a couple beers, jack daniels bbq wings, and the Thursday surf and turf dinner meal. The dinner meal came with a soup, salad, or veggie and a potato (for which they had almost 10 options from baked, mashed, and various fries). The wings were a great size but lacked in enough sauce that they almost tasted plain. The steak was ordered medium and came out rare (we were fine with it too). The steak was completely unseasoned, just cooked meat. We ordered Cajun seasoning on the shrimp and pretty sure they, too, were plain with no flavor. The mashed potatoes and gravy were good. Service was just OK as well.
