Had breakfast here on a Saturday around noon - they serve breakfast all day! Great local vibe - got some looks like "you're not from around here" but menu was substantial. Had lots of trinkets for sale (my wife was noticing - hot mats, towels etc). Service was good - not exceptional. Tried to small talk but they wanted nothing to do with it. Tony and I are here after we left the falls and trails at Letchworth State Park. It's a small diner on the back roads. We found it out of pure luck and hunger. We went in and was greeted and seated immediately. They are definitely following the Covid-19 guidelines. We waited over 30 min for our food but it was worth the wait. Tony ordered the Hot Roast Beef sandwich with mashed potatoes covered with gravy. I ordered the Beef Liver with onions, mashed potatoes and mixed veggies covered with gravy and bacon. Went here with the family for breakfast on a Day morning. Several places recommended this place due to their ability to accommodate our children's dietary restrictions. We all had something different, from breakfast sandwich, to pancakes and omlets. They even have gluten free bread and rolls. Service was great even though they were very busy with all tables full. I ordered take out and look how ridiculous this portion size is. It's a 16 dollar sandwhich without chips or fries. Couldn't even throw in a pickle. Do not go here unless you'd like to feel ripped off. read more

Traveling through the southern tier and found this little diner in the main strip. Holy cow, I have never seen a collection of tea pots quite like this. Hundreds line the shelves and while waiting for your basic eggs, sausage and home fries, you find yourself reminiscing about grandma's tea pots. Small little place. First time I came here it was because everywhere else was full. NOW I COME HERE ALL THE TIME. The food is great for a good price. The portion sizes are awesome as well, and service is absolutely great. Choice of table or booth. Lots of decorations. It's a small little unassuming place but man, it's a great place to eat. I give 4 stars because yelp doesn't do 4 1/2, and the only reason I take off the 1/2 star is because some of the seats should be re-upholstered. I absolutely love it here, though! Just as a precaution I usually stay away from hometown diners, they've always freaked me out. However; my boyfriend and I were staying near Letchworth Park and this was the closest restaurant to grab a bite for breakfast. We pulled in and my fears were confirmed that it was a small town, down home location but I was starving and taking the risk of getting food poisoning was something I could deal with. It was a seat yourself deal so we grabbed a booth that had cream in little packets crammed in a bowl and a plethora of different flavored jams. The waitress was very sweet from the start and also very attentive. I asked for a suggestion and she said the sweet potato pancakes were a good choice, and they were! I received three pancakes the size of my face with two sausage patties. My boyfriend had three pieces of thick cut French toast and sausage as well. The food came out and I took a second to examine it but honestly I felt pretty comfortable eating there, the food was fantastic and well priced! If we're ever in the area again we will definitely be making another stop. The only reason I gave it 4 out of five is because it could use a little bit of updating and the restrooms are not private, you have to go to the bathroom with someone sitting at the bar about a foot from the door. But nothing negative can be said about the food! read more

I'd give this place one star, but for some odd reason, they always seem to have a lot of cars parked outside. They seem popular, but I haven't the foggiest idea why. We stopped in for a fish fry on a friday night - I go out weekly for fish fries (see my other reviews). I have to say, this was the first time since I was a little kid that I had to drown my fish fry with ketchup to make it palatable. It tasted more like cheap fish sticks. The fries were homemade, and were decent, though the potatoes must have been small - I don't think a single fry exceeded 1 1/2 inches, though that had no affect on flavor. Soda/pop? $1.75 for a *can* of soda? Seriously? Seems a bit tacky & overpriced, especially considering they don't seem to have invested much in interior decorating/maintenance. My wife tried the beef on weck. The beef was incredibly dry, over done, and shredded very finely. Apparently, they tried to make up for the dryness by saturating the roll in au jus. No, not dipped it like most places - you absolutely couldn't pick the sandwich up because the roll was so soggy. And, even if you could, the dry meat would just come crumbling out. I got the salad bar with my meal - that was rather unsatisfactory as well. The ingredients didn't seem fresh at all. Service? Well, we had our food when the couple next to us was seated. We didn't see our waitress again until that couple had their check; we got our check right after them. She had vanished. (Good thing I didn't need to order another can of soda.) read more

My family stopped here on our way to Letchworth park. The food was fine, not extraordinary. Typical diner and breakfast food. Our server seemed very busy and hardly checked in with us. She gave me bacon instead of the sausage I ordered. We waited for her to refill our coffee cups for about fifteen minutes before I had to yell to her as she walked by. She forgot. I had to yell to her again. We asked for a box and paid. She forgot the box. It took her about five minutes to get one. I think they need more waitresses. Also they could do with adding some unusual food to their menu! They are literally surrounded by farmland and pumpkins but had nothing pumpkin-y on the menu! read more

My husband and I just returned home from the worst experience I personally have ever had in a restaurant. All regarding horrible, horrible service by our waitress. We walked in to a dining room that had barely 4 tables full. So we were anticipating a quick in and out visit. However, once we sat ourselves, we waited 10mins alone for the waitress who was standing behind the counter to stop her conversation and bring us menus and take our drink order. Then another 10mins to place our order. We then went to the salad bar, ate our salads, and drank our sodas. 30mins later, the waitress brings dinners out to the 3 tables that came in and ordered after us. Not once did she stop at our table, not to ask if we wanted a soda refill, not to clear our salad plates, not to explain why we still have no dinner. Another 10mins goes by and she brings out yet another dinner to another table. Turns around and says to us oh yeah yours will be out in a few mins. No explanation, no apology for the wait, nothing. So my husband, who has mind you already worked all day and was really looking forward to a relaxing evening out, trying to contain his fury asks to have them to go. She questions us to go? He said yeah. 10mins later they are finally done. Never once did she sincerely apologize. It was quite clear she was trying to avoid us. Totally unacceptable! Horrible service! We were so disgusted that we just discarded the meals and went home and made our own dinner. Never will we visit this establishment again, ever. Which is a terrible shame because we were born and raised in this area and have been going here since we were children and it was just a small dining room attached to an ice-cream shop. There is usually a long wait for your meal, but this time went too far. Obviously this waitress doesn't care about her tips or the reputation of her employers. read more
