When we first walked in he greeted us and asked if we needed anything. He also made our very shy dog feel comfortable. You could tell he had alot of experience with dogs and knew what he was talking about. He then proceeded to walk us around the store and help us find everything we needed. Each product he explained what his dog used and whether he would recommend it or not. He was very passionate about the products and very friendly. Needless to say, this will be our new pet store of choice.

I signed up for the VIP treatment, which would have meant my dog would be seen right away, but the person who booked my appointment overbooked the groomer, so I was forced to leave my dog for over 3 hours instead of the 2 - 2-1/2 hours I signed up for. We have been going to this Petco for over 20 years with several different dogs. The previous manager, Paige, was great, but she is out with back surgery. Plus, just try to get help finding the right dog food. I needed Pro Plan Large Breed Adult Chicken and Rice formula, but ended up having to find it myself. We like to support local business whenever we can, but not when the employees are incompetent, unfriendly, and dismissive. Chewy.com is cheaper and delivers to my door for free. KennelWood has a much more customer-friendly staff, and they will be our groomers going forward.

Every single time I brought him here, he was terrified to walk through the doors and clearly uncomfortable around the staff. After his appointments, he kept developing yeast infections in his ears because they failed to dry him properly a problem that completely stopped once I switched groomers. The final straw was when they refused to groom him again unless I put him on tranquilizers. When I asked if he had aggressively bitten anyone, they admitted he had not. He was simply a typical puppy: curious and mouthy while teething. Suggesting heavy sedation for normal puppy behavior is absurd. I took him to a new groomer afterward and gave them a heads-up about Clip Joint's claims. When I picked him up, the new groomer said he was absolute sweetie curious, loving, and never even attempted to bite anyone. Clip Joint does not know how to handle or groom puppies with patience and care. Our dogs deserve so much better than being turned away or mishandled during such a critical stage of their lives. Save yourself the stress and find a groomer who actually understands dogs.

I called to check their availability and scheduled an appointment for Wednesday at 4:00 p.m. Shortly afterward, they called to let me know they could get me in even sooner, and I was thrilled to take the earlier appointment. When I arrived, I was warmly welcomed by the owner and then introduced to Ryan, who would be grooming Rocco. She took him back and let me know I'd receive a text when he was ready. When I came to pick him up, Rocco was happily playing in a playpen and having an absolute ball (pun intended!). The staff told me he did great and was a joy to work with. Before heading out, I took a quick look around the store. They have a great selection of organic dog food, treats, toys, and other pet supplies. I couldn't have been happier with Rocco's grooming. He looked fantastic, and the entire staff was incredibly kind and welcoming. It was such a positive experience from start to finish, and I'll definitely be back. Highly recommend!

Now I see why this building has successfully been here for decades. Edit: I read the review from 3 days ago from an "unhappy customer" well I just want to say my cat gets shaved Everytime too, and they say they can't trim his fur halfway. I believe them, I mean they could do that, but for the price a shave is reasonable. The owner does have enough customers and demand (most affordable place around) that she DOES get to dictate which customers she will take and how she will take them/what services she can reasonably offer for said price. If you want your incredibly shaggy and huge dog to get trimmed up the way you want you'll have to find somewhere else, and it'll be $200 minimum, plus tip. So yeah, for the money I do what Ms Anderson says and we all leave happy. Especially my cat. Whoever said the customer is always right was dead wrong. And these "shaming reviews" where "I left in tears" make me sick. Nost people leave happy and they won't leave a review because they are happy to get along with their lives. When people are unhappy they are much more likely to review, meaning reviews are always skewed negative. Ignore the fussy customers and try this place out. It really is the best bang for your buck. The owner really can say no to customers - she literally has a line out the door every morning I drop my cat off Second edit : man so many people here want these fancy haircuts. It's an affordable grooming service not a luxury spa. People just want an arm and a leg for the price of a finger. Jeez. It's $75 bucks. Most places charge over $100, and often well over. Off topic but I'm also tired of seeing all these foo foo haircuts people want. Maybe cuz I'm a guy I like my pets to be animals and not a supermodel. I don't own a pet for the way it looks I own a pet for companionship. I got my cat shaved so he doesn't shed so much. Maybe men are just functional and women are more concerned with looks. Some call it internalized misogyny but it seems they are treating their pets like models and not animals.

I called to talk with the owner (BETH) the next day, she apologized and said he could get a free spa treatment next time. I was under the impression that meant a free grooming. Dropped him off today expecting them to make right the huge mistake last time. WRONG......I was stilled charged $86 today and come to find out "spa package" is $10. When I got home I called to discuss my dissatisfaction. My response, "oh you bet your ass I will" and then she hung up on me!
