My basset hound has bone cancer, and this groomer wasn't gentle with him at all. He wouldn't get up on the table for her to trim his nails, but she could have asked me to help because he's comfortable with his mommy. She just bent over with him on the floor and used the drimmel on his nails where he stood, contorting his legs to make it easy for her. I told her he has bone cancer, but that didn't faze her. And when we got home I seen how jaggedly his nails where trimmed.

We had our 8 month old Saint Bernard named Nathaniel groomed and couldn't be more happy with the results......Very professional and knowledgeable which I really like...she was able to explain a few things about the breed and dogs in general that we didn't even know about...It's nice to find a place with someone so experienced. I highly recommend them and plan on going back. Nathaniel looks amazing!

Dogs paws are blood red from burn, bad razor or just not being safe. Nails were bleeding from being cut to short. Did not ask my name or my dogs name or for any shot records. Very sad my dog was left here.

Responding to complaints as I'm owner of Pooch parlor. Sorry you didn't like the color. I love it. And as far as appearance if you could go behind any grooming shop closed doors you would find the same. I have nothing to hide as I have been grooming and showing dogs for 30 years. I love dogs. Shawn. Sorry about the feet. Some dogs just have sensitive skin. It doesn't happen often but on occasion it does. And as far as shots have you EVER walked your dog into petsmart or petco to go shopping???? There are no shot guard on duty. So therefore your pet is exposed to every airborne illness there is. I'm not against shots but I feel we over vaccinate our pets. Once your dog has had booster for a few years it needs no more than rabies. If you had a puppy that just had a shot I would not let you come in for 2 weeks as there immune systems are down from receiving the shot. I'm not stupid and I truly care about your pets. I take my job very serious as I have done for the last 30 years.

Just changed over to Kennelwood because this place was not nice to our dog last visit. He was…read moreshaking and scared. They had him in a very small cage after they were done grooming him; and he had an uneven groom and many an irritated area. They're surface-level friendly here, but I don't think they were very friendly to my dog. Kennelwood is a better value.

Best price of anywhere, but the service is still the very best. I mean it. And we always tip…read morebecause they do such a good job. Now I see why this building has successfully been here for decades. Edit: I read the review from 3 days ago from an "unhappy customer" well I just want to say my cat gets shaved Everytime too, and they say they can't trim his fur halfway. I believe them, I mean they could do that, but for the price a shave is reasonable. The owner does have enough customers and demand (most affordable place around) that she DOES get to dictate which customers she will take and how she will take them/what services she can reasonably offer for said price. If you want your incredibly shaggy and huge dog to get trimmed up the way you want you'll have to find somewhere else, and it'll be $200 minimum, plus tip. So yeah, for the money I do what Ms Anderson says and we all leave happy. Especially my cat. Whoever said the customer is always right was dead wrong. And these "shaming reviews" where "I left in tears" make me sick. Nost people leave happy and they won't leave a review because they are happy to get along with their lives. When people are unhappy they are much more likely to review, meaning reviews are always skewed negative. Ignore the fussy customers and try this place out. It really is the best bang for your buck. The owner really can say no to customers - she literally has a line out the door every morning I drop my cat off Second edit : man so many people here want these fancy haircuts. It's an affordable grooming service not a luxury spa. People just want an arm and a leg for the price of a finger. Jeez. It's $75 bucks. Most places charge over $100, and often well over. Off topic but I'm also tired of seeing all these foo foo haircuts people want. Maybe cuz I'm a guy I like my pets to be animals and not a supermodel. I don't own a pet for the way it looks I own a pet for companionship. I got my cat shaved so he doesn't shed so much. Maybe men are just functional and women are more concerned with looks. Some call it internalized misogyny but it seems they are treating their pets like models and not animals.
