Come to find out it was the wrong Wheaton terrier! They had sent my dog home with some one else who they had to call and come back with my dog! If I had not caught that right away, I would have had to wrong dog over night and my dog with strangers overnight bc they were closing. I called to talk with the owner (BETH) the next day, she apologized and said he could get a free spa treatment next time. I was under the impression that meant a free grooming. Dropped him off today expecting them to make right the huge mistake last time. WRONG......I was stilled charged $86 today and come to find out "spa package" is $10. When I got home I called to discuss my dissatisfaction. Beth cut me off mid sentence and I was told my dog was not harmed, they had no AC in their shop today and it was 90 degrees there and I should feel free to take my business else. My response, "oh you bet your ass I will" and then she hung up on me! We get her cut short/shaved because she is a happier dog with short hair. They got us in quickly, treated Rosie well, groomed her as we asked, and were very nice. If our regular groomer is unavailable in the future, we will definitely use the doggie day spa again.

The cat has hair for days, and we get him shaved twice a year. Sure, he looks ridiculous, but it cuts down on the hair all over the house. The staff shave every square inch of him, and I mean EVERYTHING. I don't know how they do it (I can't even cut the bastard's nails without him freaking out), and I might not want to know, but I do know he comes home smelling so clean and groomed. I think he appreciates it, because he walks around like he owns the place with his new look. Our dog is at least 14 (she was a rescue 12 years ago), pretty demented, blind in one eye, and very anxious (she gets around well and has no real health problems, just so you know we're not prolonging her existence). She also comes back all fresh, shaved, and smelling fantastic. She's anxious when she goes, but comes back just fine. No trauma inflicted that we can tell. Some may feel the prices are high (about $100 with tip for both animals), but it's worth every. single. penny. to us. The only downside here is the length of time it takes to get an appointment, usually a 3-4 week wait time. So I suggest making your appointment ahead of time.

They set clear expectations of the grooming outcome. I wanted to keep her skirt a little longer but since she was matted under her legs, we were unable to keep it. We were able to talk about a game plan for maintaining a longer coat moving forward and talking about next steps. Daisy Mae seemed so happy after being able to meet new people and dogs!

She'll be ready by 5. Ummmmm ok. I was annoyed because the owner bragged about all these credentials she had and how she's been in business for so long but couldn't handle matting. But whatever. They also tell me they would only charge me for what hair they could get off of her. my sister arrived to pick up my dog, and was informed that they indeed were able to remove all of her hair but did not bathe her at all. The owner then informed my sister that they had been working on her all day. Which is a lie, because when I called at 3:45 the owner told me they hadn't gotten to her yet! My sister said the owner then tried to clean it up and say "well we've been going back-and-forth with her all day." so which is it, were are you going back-and-forth with her all day or did you not get to her until 345???? Furthermore, if you have been working on her all day, by the end of the day she should be all finished and ready for a bath, right? I paid $70 for her to only get cut and they barely cut her nails.
