Express in treasure coast square mall is definitely not a place I will ever spend a single cent at ever again. I don't like it when a sales associate is up my butt asking a billions times if I'm okay after 10 other people have already, or to get a store card, etc....but at least its a gesture of an effort made to show that you are a welcomed customer in the store and that someone available to willingly be of assistance if needed. I definitely got the complete opposite treatment from the two people working there, the sales associate and manager. I did not bother me that not once was My presence in the store alnowledge by anybody. i stood by the fainting room looking around, waiting for one of them to holler at me and give me a nod that they'll be right over, but nothing. So I walked towards the associate and asked. Only then was my existence acknowledged. When did Express turn into an overpriced 21 Forever type store? I don't expect someone to come by the fitting room and ask if I needed a different size or anything
If I was at 21Forever, but for Express that is strange, especially in an empty store with just one other potential customer. I've worked at Expess once upon a time, and I've frequented the stores often (mostly at the Garddns Mall and Wellington Green Mall) and that kind of unhelpful and u friendly behavior is unheard of, especially with just one other person in the store (It was quite apparent why the store was empty). There were promotions on something tht I had seen in advertisements I received via snail mail recently, but I left the flyer at home, and since no one wanted to make I was aware of the promotions or sale in the store l, I just didn't even bother to look for and try on the main items I had originally went into express for. All that was no big deal actually. But even when I went to register to make the purchase, The manager standing close to the register area just lookeD at me, did not say a single word, proceeded to stand there (5 feet away from me n the the register) and looked intently all around, and the very reluctantly rung me up and as I was swiping my debit card, she walked away for a several minutes without a word to excuse herself or to let me know tht she'll be back. The whole time standing face to face with this nasty manager person, not one word and not one smile. It made me feel as if she hated me for existing as a person, because I can think of no other reason to hate a person whom you have not exchanged a single word with.
Look, I am not gonna deny that I only take the time to give a review of an establishment for one of two reasons. 1) The exceptional service and staff; or mostly just the staff that made at least made an effort, even if the service was mediocre at best, but the pleasant atmosphere that can only come from pleasant people. 2). The exceptionally unusually negative experience, not so much having to do with bad service or incompetency, but always from the a shockingly negative n very unwelcoming atmosphere due to the staff. I don't think a brief and trivial shopping excursion would ever warrant a review on yelp, but this does. Because I've never experience such blatant unkindness from people in any kind of retail. Shame on you Express for hiring such in friendly people that really have no business working with the public. read more
