Shell bazaar is your typical little Florida gift shop that is a more affordable option. A lot of the stuff doesn't interest me personally, although I did buy a cute little pineapple necklace. I come down every few years and I think this year was my least interest in what the store offers, personally. But it is a small shop right on US1 so I don't think there is any harm in stopping in for a quick browse or an inexpensive gift. Maybe the stuff may be more up your alley than mine! There is clothes but nothing for my style personally, there is inexpensive jewelry, coral and shells, kids stuff, beachy knick knacks and signs. Things of that nature. It's not a place for surfboards or things to support that sport. It's more of a souvenir shop type vibe. read more

I love Chris and her families beloved Shell Bazaar and I have shopped here many, many times over the years. Each trip, I stock up on tshirts, shells and whatknots for a couple of reasons; 1) because they have a nice variety of souvenirs to find something for everyone 2) but mainly because of the sincere friendliness of Chris & her family members who make their customers feel welcomed. So when I mention my latest trip to the shell accompanied by out-of-state close military family friends of ours left me some what embarrassed by the rudeness from the sole cashier that was working this particular day. We took pictures outside in the shell as I always do and made our way indoors. By the time I reached the tshirts around the back of the store (15 mins or so) I was tracked down by this cashier to inform me I had 5 mins before she closed the store. I was taken aback some because of her tone and delivery of "make it quick" attitude. To add salt to injury, literally 2-3 mins of trying to scam over the new items added to the store since my last trip, I mentioned I was going to peek at the shells only to be reminded a had literally 1 min left. On that note, I bought what I had in my hand, it was time to pull chalks. Trying to conversant as I checked out vs the awkward silence, I mentioned that I've become friends with Chris on FB over the years and she stated that she was a very good friend of hers. I thought ok, but I can't imagine Chris would have been too thrilled at the unnecessarily abrupt rudeness we felt from the 1st trip I brought military family friends to shop for their souvenirs. I am still going to give the Shell Bazaar and the Williams Family a 5 rating because I won't tarnish their reputation because of one bad apple with a pushy attitude. Who doesn't want to leave work at the end of their shift (it's 5 o'clock somewhere) but remember your actions also represent the Shell Bazaar when you are the face of the store for new customers who will walk away and remember where to shop next time. As for me, of course I'll be back soon and hopefully it will be the usually great shopping experience I've come accustomed too from our local historical Shell Bazaar and the Williams family (Chris). read more

This marvelous shell shop has been here since 1953. In it's heyday it was the only place to be. sea shells are what every beach goer wanted to take with them ------ especially if they were tourists. At the time that's all they carried and there were a multitude and variety of shells. Unfortunately over the last few decades a number of shells, coral, etc. have become federally or state protected mostly because of environmental concerns. Shell bazaar has had to look elsewhere for inventory. A lot of the shells are imported and the quantity is small. Sadly what makes up the rest of the shop is T-shirts, décor, pirate themed items & misc. souvenirs. There's loads of photo opportunities outside and it's still a MUST STOP HERE kind of place. read more

If you're looking to buy shells from your vacation here in jensen beach, check out this store. Yes you can find shells on the beach but this store has plenty of things you may not find (whole starfish, whole shark jaws, gator heads, etc). My wife and I went into the Shell Bazaar yesterday to buy gifts for our Grandkids and left making a new Friend. In the course of shopping, Christine the owner suggested several items and answered our questions. In the course of our conversation Christine mentioned that she is involved with the Port Saint Lucie Historical Society which my wife and I promptly joined and we received a beautiful hard bound book recounting the history of Port Saint Lucie. All in all it was a very enjoyable time for us and we will surely return and recommend the Shell Bazaar to all our friends. read more

They have a very good selection of shells and nice things , but didn't care for the more then obvious way the guy behind the counter watched intently and walked by people as if he knew you came in there to steal something, my suggestion get security cameras and sit him in a room to watch . I have been going here since 2001.i have beautiful wall hangings made of shells,designed by a man named mascaro,wish they still sold them.

Simply the place to go to if you need to bring back some beautiful memories from this part of Florida. And don't forget to take a picture inside the big shell in front of the store; it has been there since the birth of Port St. Lucie! read more

Great Place. Oldest store in Port St. Lucie with a variety of nautical items, shells, wall art, T-shirts and much more. The staff will always greet you with a smile and the prices are good. Been going there since I move here in 1986. It's always a destination when I have out of town guests in. Check it out :-) read more

Bought two mirrors and shells. As the mirrors were bulky and hard to get home on plane they offered to ship. They assured me they never had breakage and would be packed well. I paid for shipping UPS, and arrived 10 days later with one mirror broken. When I called them they that would be between me and UPS. Claim has been filed over a month and now UPS says shipper has to establish claim. Their service and lack of concern is terrible. Be ware of your purchases with them read more

This place has been here for over 60 years, so obviously they are doing something right! Not many places last that long, especially when they started in the middle of no where. Nice family store, with unique products, and a nice staff. I have been in numerous times and they are always helping someone with a wedding. Even have been there when they have had not so nice customers and was very amazed at the way they handle things!! More places need to be like this. Negative reviews posted about them are obviously due to a not so nice customer. read more

Never had a problem with this place. Bring my visitors in here all the time. Everyone is so nice and friendly. Owner will even carry a conversation with you about the old days when the store was first build. Very neat place, with a neat history, and tons of neat items! read more
