Reading this review will actually benefit YOU, so don't just keep scrolling, okay? I have been selling my gently used clothes for many years. I have a love of fashion, a taste that changes frequently, and am usually balling on a budget, so I am a frequent buyer and seller to shops like this one. This means that I have quite a bit of experience when it comes to selling my clothes for cash and I have done it EVERYWHERE. At many different franchises, in many different towns and even different states. When I tell you this store ranks as #1 out of EVERY other store like it, I don't mean that it beat out the others by a small margin, or that another came in close second. I mean that it beat them by a land slide. And let me tell you why. First off the store is easy to find, well labeled and on a busy corner. Huge plus in my book. I am always in a hurry and and frequently selling in an area I am not familiar with. It was clean, well organized and very well stocked with popular brands and quality items (which can also be dangerous because it made me want to buy EVERYTHING). The store had an upbeat atmosphere, which made it fun to shop, lots of fitting rooms and a bathroom! Some of you might wonder why these last two are worthy of mention (while you die hard shoppers will get it). It really comes down to convince. When I am shopping and have to use the restroom and the store I am in doesn't have a bathroom, I will typically stop shopping at that store and leave. It's such a pain to have the employees hold your items, leave the store, use the restroom (wherever that might be) and then come back. So I don't come back. It might seem like a small thing but I have come across many stores that buy clothes for cash that don't have restrooms and I have to literally walk across the street just to pee. We live in a world of convenience, which brings me to that second point.. lots of fitting rooms. Nothing is more irritating that waiting in a long line just to try on one blouse because some genius only thought to put in two fitting rooms in a WOMANS clothing store madness! Now to the real reason this place is #1 in my book. THE STAFF! They are incredibly knowledgeable of brands, they worth and sell-ability. They are friendly, competent and honest. That's HUGE in my book. They paid me the BEST by far for my name brand and designer items and even offered me more for a pricy item when I was hesitant to sell it for they price the computer offered me!! And is the reason that, while I live almost two hours away and have about a dozen other options in my own area of where I can sell my gently used clothes, I will be driving to them!! Women's Clothing One…read moreof the things that the town of Stuart is known for is that it is a very walkable little central district full of restaurants and shops. For us, it is always a nice night out - grab dinner, do some browsing and grab dessert - but we tend to go later and most of the shops are closed. We had the recent good fortune to be able to hit town earlier than usual and had over an hour to kill before out dinner reservations, so we took that opportunity to actually visit some of the stores that were open. Island Cotton caught the eye of my wife it there were some funky cool dresses in the window and so we wandered in to take a look. The place is full of women's fashion items: dresses, blouses, jewelry, and sort of everything in between. My wife had a grand time looking through the racks and the super nice people working there were just great with no pressure at all. Turns out she found a really interesting skirt and tried it on - fit perfectly and decided then and there to wear it to dinner. One happy camper to be sure. Prices were pretty staggered - but they seem to have something for every budget range- I'm a guy and definitely not an expert in women's clothing so you may have to do some looking on your own to validate that. Overall a good experience and I am sure we will be back through there in the future on another night out. Parking - it is Stuart town so depending on the time of year, it could be tough.

The owners thought of everything, including a playroom for children to use while their parents shop. This in itself shows the care that has been put into this establishment. There is a rack of maternity clothing and a plethora of maternity items here. Before I became a mom, I didn't understand that a children's thrift shop might carry maternity items. I was still looking for that non-existent maternity thrift shop! I appreciate this rack for a number of reasons: most thrift stores don't sort out maternity clothing, which end up hidden amongst the racks of regular clothing; quality maternity clothing is not cheap, generally unstylish, and . . . used for such a short period of time! Besides clothing, furniture, baby and nursing equipment and maternity clothes, Forever Young features a room of books and toys. Children are not allowed to play in here (playing is for the play room!); thus- unlike at regular thrift shops- there are not children actively playing with a product you might want to purchase. To fund their mission Treasure Coast Hospice operates this thrift store in Stuart as well as a new location in Port St. Lucie which I hope to visit. This store has a boutique look to it, There are several rooms filled with neatly organized clothing, furniture, household goods, collectibles, holiday items including a large Christmas area, furniture, books, small appliances, jewelry, accessories, and collectibles. I scored 5 Brita water filters for $10. My favorite item was a set of Franklin Mint Gone with the Wind Collectible figurines in the display case but they were $250 so there they stayed. That is the retail price because there is a set going for the same price on Ebay right now. I love the mission of this organization and the sales staff was very friendly. If you are looking for a more upscale thrifting experience this is a very nice store to browse.
