Seller Beware.......Yesterday I took two high end bags and a pair of $150 shoes in to be sold. I shopped while the employees looked at my items and then checked to see what Style Encore had offered me for the bags and shoes. At that time, the employee told me that only the shoes were accepted and offered me a very low payout which I accepted. I carried what I thought was my two bags to the car and thought nothing more until I realized today that I'd only been given back one bag. I immediately called the store to explain what had occurred. They've told me that I can buy it back IF they can find it. It's still in their system as unsold but after two hours they've not yet found it. I've shopped and sold things at Style Encore for years but I won't be going back nor will I recommend it to anyone who inquires about shopping there. read more

I visited Style Encore last week while visiting my sister who lives locally. The good- I found a few cute, well maintained Lily Pulitzer separates as well as a semi-formal dress for a more than reasonable price. The meh- staff seemed disconnected, not particularly helpful and what I would call "frosty". One skort I pulled was stained, so I'm not sure how carefully they're inspecting the items they purchase for resale. Would I revisit? Maybe, if I'm in the area- but I'd advise anyone thinking of shopping here to carefully inspect any items before purchase and to not expect the experience to be friendly or welcoming. read more

My sister and I stopped here to bring some top brand shirts in to see if they would take them for consignment. It's a big store and they have a lot of items to buy. The shirts are in top condition and barely used. The store offered $11.00 for 4 shirts. They didn't want the other 6 I had. My sister told them no thanks and said she would donate them. I looked around and saw a lot of over priced items in my opinion. read more

I shopped and brought in clothing over the past 2 years. I've noticed a real difference in what they accept. Some of my items have been turned away, yet there are so many items that are so used, worn and old. Some even damaged. On three occasions I've purchased items and for whatever reason I tried to bring back within several weeks. Only to be told they couldn't accept them ? Really ? I will no longer be bringing my items or purchasing at this store. read more

Style Encore/Stuart has no retail fashion sense. They offer an almost insulting dollar amount for never used designer handbags and poo poo higher end clothing items with the excuse they do not have the market for such items. I refuse to believe there is no basis for that in Stuart. Jewelry, far better than the 'junk' they sell was judged to be outdated which was bewildering to me as it had been purchased a few months before at Macy's and Nordstrom. A fair amount of items on their racks I could easily find at Goodwill at a far lesser price tag. Frankly, there is a lot of 'crap' also with surprising prices. Make up stains, torn sleeves, pulls in material. They refused a fabulous faux leather jacket (too heavy to wear here) stating they don't sell that material. Jill and Kierstin are some of the loveliest women in retail, which can be a crazy business.. but they always provide great customer support and assistance when I need it. Buyer Turned away Brand New Items from Express claiming "Outdated." I just saw an Express Ad with the Same Exact Shirts being Sold This Season. Buyer threw a Brand New, Never Worn Pair of Rhinestone Shoes (wrong size for me) into Bottom of Return Bag -Heels Up- ensuring All Refused Cloths went in on top of them. One Item of which was a Brand New Pleather Pant she claimed was "Outdated" which is also being sold This Season, anyhow, she Trashed the Pants. And a couple other delicate pieces got Hooked on the Shoe's Rhinestones. The few pieces they took were presented to me by a snooty tween who literally looked down at them. Not sure what's going on at this place, but it's not consistent with Sellers. That's ok, the next place I went to next took the whole kit-n-kaboodle. $$$ read more

Poor selection. Spring and southeastern Florida and had an abundance of winter items.

Picture this, on a road trip home, we arrived around 4pm Saturday. After parking and exiting our vehicle to stretch for a second, a man swings the door open, yells "we closed 30 seconds ago!" from behind a group of onlooking elderly women inside, slams and locks the door on me and my mother... the day after roe. Vs. wade overturned. This man offered no kindness, no curiosity, no explanation to changed hours or a holiday... We are fiercely gorgeous-independent women... artist, Jewish, unafraid to be different... that... was disrespectful, insulting, and unbelievably rude. I've honestly only shopped via their instagram account and over the phone. They're in Florida and I'm in California but I cannot deny myself a shopping experience if I see something I love! I've purchased three items from Style Encore in Stuart over the phone and have had a great experience each time. I have purchased a romper, a dress and pair of shorts. For normal shipping sizes it will cost $9. If it's a larger item like a purse, it will be about $15. Overall, the ladies that answer the phone are helpful and friendly. They email me my confirmation for shipping / tracking purposes a day or two after my purchase. Prices are reasonable and I love that I don't pay retail. Some brands that I've noticed here include Coach, Tory Burch, LV, LP, Vineyard Vines, MK, Burberry and much more! They seem to have good eye for really adorable things! Love their handbags and shoes. READ THIS REVIEW!! So many of us only stop and read the bad reviews, trust me I am guilty of it too, BUT I have found a serious gem here and I want others to know about it!! Reading this review will actually benefit YOU, so don't just keep scrolling, okay? I have been selling my gently used clothes for many years. I have a love of fashion, a taste that changes frequently, and am usually balling on a budget, so I am a frequent buyer and seller to shops like this one. This means that I have quite a bit of experience when it comes to selling my clothes for cash and I have done it EVERYWHERE. At many different franchises, in many different towns and even different states. When I tell you this store ranks as #1 out of EVERY other store like it, I don't mean that it beat out the others by a small margin, or that another came in close second. I mean that it beat them by a land slide. And let me tell you why. First off the store is easy to find, well labeled and on a busy corner. Huge plus in my book. I am always in a hurry and and frequently selling in an area I am not familiar with. It was clean, well organized and very well stocked with popular brands and quality items (which can also be dangerous because it made me want to buy EVERYTHING). The store had an upbeat atmosphere, which made it fun to shop, lots of fitting rooms and a bathroom! Some of you might wonder why these last two are worthy of mention (while you die hard shoppers will get it). It really comes down to convince. When I am shopping and have to use the restroom and the store I am in doesn't have a bathroom, I will typically stop shopping at that store and leave. It's such a pain to have the employees hold your items, leave the store, use the restroom (wherever that might be) and then come back. So I don't come back. It might seem like a small thing but I have come across many stores that buy clothes for cash that don't have restrooms and I have to literally walk across the street just to pee. We live in a world of convenience, which brings me to that second point.. lots of fitting rooms. Nothing is more irritating that waiting in a long line just to try on one blouse because some genius only thought to put in two fitting rooms in a WOMANS clothing store madness! Now to the real reason this place is #1 in my book. THE STAFF! They are incredibly knowledgeable of brands, they worth and sell-ability. They are friendly, competent and honest. That's HUGE in my book. They paid me the BEST by far for my name brand and designer items and even offered me more for a pricy item when I was hesitant to sell it for they price the computer offered me!! And is the reason that, while I live almost two hours away and have about a dozen other options in my own area of where I can sell my gently used clothes, I will be driving to them!! Every time I go in there the staff are always stuck up and rude. I also think it's ridiculous that every time we try to purchase something they open at 10 but don't answer the phone til 10:10 it's the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. It's pointless to even follow them or on Instagram even if you see something you might like to purchase you usually can't put it until you camp out there over night and they tell you to call and purchase but will not answer the phone til after they open honestly I've never like going in there and every time I try to give this place a chance the employees always remind me why I do not shop there. read more

This store has its high points and low points. Some of the staff is very friendly and helpful and the store is neat and organized. However, the way that they treat some customers is something to be looked at. I was in the store with my sister in law a while back and the lady that checked me out was very nice and polite but unfortunately forgot to take out one of the sensors on my designer bag. I came back in a little bit later once I realized and informed a taller girl of the situation. She turned her nose up at me and asked for my receipt in a very nasty tone as if I was lying, even though I was just in the store a few minutes ago. Thankfully the first woman was still there and was able to help me. I also came back another time and overheard the manager Jill, making fun of one of the customers on the phone's accent while laughing about it to another associate. I think that if you are to be working and managing a business like this you should be able to keep your comments to yourself and be polite to all customers regardless of skin tone or "funny accents." Thanks for walking my gift card out to my car because I had my two young kids in their car seats. I'm a loyal customer for many years and the girls are always so nice. When I sell I'm aware that I only get a small percentage of the sale, but they take the risk it won't sell and secondhand selling on your own takes time and effort.
