My friend ended up leaving with THREE shirts from Aphrodite. The prices are fantastic! Very, very reasonable (cheaper than you can buy online). The shop owner was very helpful and friendly. It's a cool place. Lots of stuff. They not only have clothing, but purses, jewelry and some unique items. If you do yoga and like yoga-inspired clothing, you MUST visit this shop. Chris and Ian saw me sitting outside waiting for opening time, came out and said come on in, we're good to go. Got a 4-hour estimate on install. 3.25 later, she was done. I was surprised by how large and nice this thrift store is. Several rooms are filled with seasonal decorations including a large area of Christmas decorations, household goods, small appliances, clothes, accessories, kids items, large selection of furniture, and books. Everything was arranged artfully to give the store a boutique feel. In addition to shopping at their support stores you can donate your items at the rear of the store as well as give your time as a volunteer. Information on how to volunteer, their programs, and events are listed on the House of Hope website. This is a wonderful organization that deserves all of the community support it can get.

We both shopped around, my husband went one way to look at things he was interested in, and I went a different way to explore the store. No one ever greeted or spoke to me. It was my first time in the store and they had lots of nice items. I did have questions about some items I wanted to purchase, but was never acknowledged the entire time. I walked through the store from the dishes, clothing, to the furniture side. One tall dark haired woman walked past me at least 4 times in the store but only spoke to my husband across the store a couple of times. I was very sad when I left the store. He told me so much about this store and I was excited to get there. Not sure what happened here, but I wonder if it was because we are an interracial couple that I was never acknowledged, but my husband was.
