Saw a vehicle I was interested in on car fax so I made an appt to check it out. Manny had the car ready for me to text drive when I arrived. I saw others I like better and decided on a 2016 BMW. Drove great, clean car fax and great price. I still wanted to have my mechanic check it out. Manny said no problem please do. Car came back clean no issues. The purchase process was easy and Manny was great. Purchased an extended warranty (better than the one my credit union offered). I was pre approved thru my credit union & Manny sent all the paperwork over while I was there. All I had to do was sign on the dotted line. I highly recommend this place if you are looking to purchase a car.

I had a great experience here with Carlos and Manny. They were helpful and knowledgeable and cared that I was satisfied throughout the whole process. I appreciated how generous they were with their time. Carlos encouraged me to test several different vehicles before making a decision which was helpful. I purchased a 2016 KIA Soul+ and now, 2 months and 2 road trips later, I'm still loving it. Great purchase from great guys! I recommend stopping here first in your car shopping journey.

Drove almost 2 hours here, they had the Mini Cooper Clubman I had been looking for. Cut to the chase, these guys are fantastic, comfortable to work with, no pressure, no BS, straight forward across the board. Some used car dealers just feel icky and shady, not Trax. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a new car. Made for a great car buying experience Also walked out with a warranty that I am very pleased with. Thank you Gentleman. You were great to work with, Liam

I bought my first car with my salary a 2016 mini cooper from Trax today!!! great and patience to explain everything!!!

My Van!

Drove a few hours because I finally found the van for me... from start to finish everyone here was a real pleasure to deal with. I truly believe we got a killer deal and my husband both agree we will totally come here for our next vehicle! Just an added update that we have already put 8,000 miles on this van and the only money we've had to put into it was an oil change. No lemons at this place!

Text screen shot! This place is a joke!

Response to "Manny" - YOU NEVER CALLED!! That's BS! The text message screenshots are clear. I signed a contract and then your clown employee, CARLOS, which is an unprofessional worthless a-hole, ghosted me and sold it to someone else for more when I tried to pay. Quit trying to lie and claim "fairness" to other buyers when I had a contract!! Your dealership is an unethical joke and so are you. No wonder your dealership reputation is in the toilet. Hopefully people stay away from your awful trash of a dealership!

I am very happy with my new car purchase my 2015 Audi A3 very nice car I've been very happy so far with the car I've meet the whole staff that worked there big thanks to Manny,Carlos, George, there were very nice friendly people who made the whole process easy A big thanks to everyone that worked there I highly recommended buying a car from them I'll sure will again -George

I give these guys five-stars. I probably purchased 11-12 cars during my driving tenure, and by far this was one of the best buying experiences I've had. While I'm pretty down to earth kind of guy, I am certain I'm not one of the easiest customers to deal with. I used special financing with an out of state bank and Manny and Carlos did everything in their power to work with my bank and went to bat for me several times with the bank. Going back and forth trying to make the numbers work (car buying, financing lingo) I found this process tedious and frustrating... Manny and Carlos always kept a positive attitude and a smile. When I finally pulled away in my new car, it was all worth it. I have every confidence in recommending any one to purchase a car from Trax and I am certain when it comes time to purchase my next car, I will start the shopping process with Trax Auto Wholesale

I just got a free car wash and oil change thanks a lot to manny and Carlos

This is the second car I've gotten from Trax Auto. And if any problems arise, Manny is willing to help fix it

My kids and I have been discussing replacing our minivan with a smaller car for years, but I loved…read moremy minivan (still do) and couldn't imagine parting with it. Over the past few months, my son and I searched for affordable used cars, test-drove cars, shopped around for a good trade-in price for the minivan, and even posted the minivan on Marketplace. Yesterday, as I drove off the High Street bridge and returned home to Alameda, instead of turning left, I drove straight to Diamond Auto's lot. I recognized my son's dream car by the enormous spoiler on the back. I took it for a test drive. I sat with Alex to discuss the price. Today, my son and I test drove the car. We sat with Alex to discuss the price and the warranty (3-months, which isn't much, but it's 3-months longer than any other warranty we were offered). We came to an agreement. I gave Alex the keys to my beloved minivan (which is now for sale, by the way), a lump sum on my credit card, and drove away in a sporty sedan. It wasn't just that we found the right car at the right price today. We found the right salesperson. Alex is supporting the local community as well as his own family. He negotiates directly and clearly. He speaks respectfully to middle-aged women and teenage kids. No gimmicks. No pressure. No confusing equations. Tell him what you need, and he'll tell you what he needs. If it works, it works. If it doesn't, no pressure. I enjoyed doing business with him.

I had heard great things about Diamond Auto and about Alex, so when our family car finally gave up…read morethe ghost, my wife and I decided to check out their inventory. Their website made it easy to narrow our choices down to three cars before we even arrived, which helped take a lot of stress out of the process. When we got to the lot, the atmosphere immediately felt comfortable. Someone greeted us, let us know he was available if we had questions, and then gave us time to look around on our own. The lot was packed with cars, but the team cheerfully moved vehicles around so we could compare our options. They showed us practical features you don't always see on a spec sheet, like trunk space, rear AC vent locations, and USB ports, which really helped us eliminate some options. We test drove two cars, reviewed their deals, and met with Alex, who gave us his card. When we mentioned we wanted to look at other options they were completely understanding and didn't pressure us or ask for our contact information. We stopped by the nearby Toyota dealership since our old car was a Toyota, but the prices there were noticeably higher, even for used models. Two days later, we returned to Diamond Auto to try one more car. Alex even let us take it home to make sure it could handle our daughters' softball gear and our camping equipment. That extra step made a big difference. Once we decided it was the right fit, the financing process was quick and easy. We grabbed bagels next door while the paperwork was prepared, and less than an hour later we were driving home in our new car. It's been a month since we made our purchase and the car has been running great! We event took a road trip from Alameda to Portland and back. We are still thrilled with our purchase and will definitely return to Diamond Auto in the future!

New address: 722 South Amphlett Blvd…read more San Mateo, CA 94402 Edward is an underrated BMW specialist! There are no yelp reviews; he is popular by word of mouth. He is the best Bay Area BMW mechanic!! He doesn't even have a cash register or printout of services. I understand this may be a dealbreaker. He just texts me how much everything will cost and I pay him via PayPal. But putting that aside, Edward knows BMWs as well as the dealership. He's definitely less expensive than the dealership since that's the whole point of avoiding dealerships. However, of all the independent mechanics, he's not the cheapest either. I think that's okay since cheaper mechanics create more problems. Edward gets the job done right the first time so I never have to go back for the same issues. How I first met him: I was looking for a collectors '97 M3. I came across his ad for a 2001 Z3 (same engine as 3 series 2.5i). The Carfax indicated this car was great up until 2014 when the cooling system died. He swapped the whole system like a pro and was selling it with a warranty. During the warranty I ripped the car to make sure to cooling system survived, and it did. Still works great today. Since then I've had my soft top cut by someone trying to break in. Dealership quoted me $2000 something; Edward bought genuine bmw twill top and charged me $1075. Changed my AC compressor, including freon vacuum and fill for $395. Just a week ago, my water pump failed while I was on the highway. This caused catastrophic failure of other engine components since the belt slipped of and went crazy. I checked forums and apparently the water pump bearing failure is common for the E39. The belt destroyed the tensioner, thermostat, fan, fan shroud, and radiator. Dealership quoted me $4500 since they no longer manufacture mechanical tensioners. They would have to swap all belt components to hydraulic, regardless if it were damaged. They simply can't buy after market parts for legal reasons. Dealership still charged me $198 just to give me that diagnostic (it's their typical 1 hour charge). Edward found OEM parts and charged me $1125 (belt, mechanical belt tensioner, water pump, thermostat, fan, fan shroud, radiator, generator pully, and coolant flush/refill). While the car was at his shop I decided to get other work done as well. Front rotors and brake pads for $280. Front control arm bushings for $275. With any 16 year old car, you must expect things to break. But everything Edward has fixed has never broken again. Not a lot of BMW owners who go to independent mechanics can say the same about their cars.

My brother is looking for a car and I found a car Edward had listed not too long ago and yesterday…read moreI asked if it was available to take a look at and he said it was, so today my brother went to take a look only to find out it had been sold yesterday, (when Edward told me it was still available), and he proceeded to tell my brother he gets new cars everyday but didn't offer to look at some of the other cars he had. I'm not surprised with this experience considering the other reviews, just disappointed. he didn't even reach out to give me an update on the car before it had sold. I thought he wasn't about wasting peoples time.

She also stated that if she did not hear back from me that she would delete all of the information that I had left on their website. Great overall experience. Dealt with Mike. Honest guy. Wish I could've bought my wife's vehicle…read morefrom here as well, but he didn't have the stock at the time. I would encourage anyone to visit his spot and would feel comfortable referring non-car folks his way. Personally, I'm a car enthusiast and know the vehicles I'm interested in buying - from market value to any typical mechanical or electrical issues per model. I research each model thoroughly from TSBs to customer feedback on forums. The vehicle I was searching for was priced very fairly at Auto Experts - low miles, great condition etc. After seeing the car, it had some typical superficial issues (10 minute fixes) that are common for this particular model (Mercedes C300). The price was several thousand below market value, so it was certainly fair. (Try and get a button swapped out at the dealer $1000 or you can just clean the contact $0). Mercedes drivetrains (except for some of the m272/273s) are pretty rock solid, so you just have to deal with little electrical issues for the aging models. We had a great chat about cars and things and not once during our time was I rushed or pressured to buy. Super low key. In fact, he encouraged me to think over the decision and offered to trade cars for the weekend. Mike said to look it over for the weekend, show my wife (key point), take it to a shop - do what I had to do. Unreal. I wound up buying the car. It's been a few months and absolutely no issues. Ironically, as much of the vehicle as I inspected, I hadn't looked at the rear tires. Front tires were practically brand new and I must've only checked there. When I stopped by to take care of some more paperwork about a month later, I brought it up to Mike. He gave me a loaner for the day and had 2 new tires installed in the rear. Best car buying experience I've had at a car dealership - private or corporate. Definitely give them a shot if they have a model you're interested in. (Personal note on buying a used car: I think generally used car dealers get a bad rep from uneducated consumers. Case in point, I bought my wife's vehicle from another un-named private dealer which had one of the worst customer experiences - the cliche pushy high pressure types. After we bought the vehicle, the radio stopped working - a typical fuse issue for that model Mercedes. (The fix is literally to unplug and replug the fuse in.) Then, the CEL light came on a month later - related to a vacuum hose fitting that was known to crack - leaking air. Cut the cracked end and plug it back in. Both cases were not a reflection of the dealer, but it would be easy to blame them, as much as I would've liked to...)
