Please don't risk it. The one-star reviews are legit. My (well-documented) experience: In April, before I gave Travis my computer to fix, I made it clear I'm a teacher making my living with that computer. He seemed to really empathize. When he invoiced me (he said to cover new parts), I paid the same day. Then I tried to be patient because I trusted he was doing his best. After all, he did have so many five-star reviews. Then this bizarre saga began. Travis strung me along for a while via text then completely ghosted me for longer. I went to his door and found his residence evacuated. Alarmed, I disputed the credit card charge and filed a police report for theft. Only when he became aware of that was it worth his time to answer me. By this time, I had seen all the negative reviews that had rolled in since our transaction. I felt doomed, but I genuinely needed and still need that particular computer back. Travis pseudo-apologized and declared, "I want to put this nightmare behind us as much as you do" like we were on the same team in this tomfoolery. Travis offered to mail me the computer as soon as I dropped the dispute with the credit card company (which would pay him in full again) and provided proof that I had closed the police report, requiring me to make a false statement saying we had already resolved the matter between us. Obviously, I knew that if I complied, I'd still be out of a computer, so I refused. Then Travis said he hadn't finished the repair (which was weird because he had told me it was packaged and ready to mail). I told him I didn't mind taking it elsewhere to be fixed, and I'd still gladly close the police report if I just got the computer back. He got defensive, saying he had already put too much into it. So I offered in writing to bring cash in hand to pay for any work he had already done and any parts he had purchased or even to pay for the entire service in cash (if he was willing finish the work right away) then immediately close the police report. But like any sane person, I'd do all of this only if I got my computer back. Travis wrote, "At the end of the day, I've done nothing wrong" and went on painting himself as my victim. He never took accountability for anything. He just listed all the problems I was causing him. Then Travis pretended he didn't trust me not to reopen the police report and falsely claim I hadn't received the computer. He refused to reveal his whereabouts or meet in person and did not respond to my request that he mail the computer to someone else who could give it to me, a meeting which could have been recorded as proof that I had received it (if my willingness to put it in writing wasn't enough). Travis sent me his "policy" (that had not been posted anywhere) stating that any property not picked up after a certain time was his to keep. Then, he told me he could and should charge me storage fees because he had stored my computer for me for too long when per his policy he isn't obligated to do so. He portrayed himself as the good Samaritan who was being persecuted. I'm not sure if it was gaslighting or delusion. My final email (also unanswered) was a very polite request for a simple pic of the serial just to confirm he still even had my computer. To me, no response was a clear no. Game over. read more

PLEASE WHAT EVER YOU DO, DO NOT GO TO THIS GUY FOR ANY COMPUTER SERVICES. I found Travis on Facebook marketplace advertising computer repair services. I reached out to him inquiring about my HP laptop that died on me randomly. I met Travis at a very shady Planet fitness parking lot in the middle of the ghetto to provide him my laptop (red flag #1). Travis advised me he should be able to have my laptop to me by EOD. Throughout the day Travis was at first very communicative, letting me know what he thought the issue was. He advised me the cost and asked for it in cash only (2nd red flag). He then messaged me later on in the day indicating he believed it might be a DIFFERENT issue and it would cost me MORE money due to it possibly being my screen (3rd red flag). He claimed he should be able to have it all fixed and ready for me to pick up in a few days. I finally went to meet up with Travis and paid him over $300+ dollars and he "claimed everything was fixed" but he coincidentally "forgot" to charge my laptop so it was dead. What do you know.. to my surprise when I get home and actually charge my laptop it is still broken and I am experiencing the SAME issue. I messaged Travis and attempted to call a number that was provided on an invoice he sent me and to my surprise again no answer. I then messaged him on Facebook marketplace MULTIPLE TIMES & well what do you know the ad had been magically taken down. He has failed to hold up his end of the deal. I am a single mother and it is crazy to me that there are people in this world that scam innocent people out of money. Buyer beware - he'll sell you junk. I needed a budget PC to serve as a digital DVR for Blue Iris. All the advice was to buy a refurbished optiplex off of Ebay but I stumbled on Travis' ad on FB Marketplace and figured I'd give a local guy a chance. I told him my budget, he said could work within it. Dude is friendly, great to talk to, but he took advantage of my naivety. He set me up with an old server - I know nothing about servers - his logic being that it had shitoads of RAM and multiple cores and he even threw in a couple of 2TB hard drives in RAID configuraiton. I paid him extra for a dual ethernet NIC and some other stuff. Got it home, turns out it had a bad video card. He offered to swap it, so I went back to his place and we traded...but the second one was bad too. I sent him a screenshot, he said update the drivers. I did. didn't work. Then I realized that the NIC I'd paid extra for wasn't ethernet - it is for fiber. Made him aware, asked to swap, was ignored. Then the RAID card failed, so while looking into that, I observed that the HDDs he installed are only 1TB (not 2TB). After that, the license for the TRIAL VERSION of the OS failed. I'm way over double my budget now. I"m pretty sure Travis just sells the old stuff that he replaces for his business clients. I'm not saying don't buy stuff from Travis, just make sure you know what you're buying at least as well as he does. read more

I bought a gaming computer from travis for $550 picked it up on 12/29/23 brought it home it started shutting down he worked on it a few time remotely no luck had to drive it to his house dropped it of picked it back up worked for a couple of day now its not working 1/9/24 ask for refund since he give 30 day warranty and he told me he's not giving me my money back because he went through it and it worked. so its something we did he said ask if we could return it and pay the difference no response wont answer his phone or text i feel like i was ripped off any legitimate business would stand behind what they are putting out but not the case with this guy i would not recommend this guy to anyone he puts on a really good act read more

My wife bought an old laptop "workstation" on ebay. Some business owned it and had installed "killdisk" which randomly activated and wiped out both drives. I bought one of his surface pros he had for sale on market place. After buying it I realized there was no windows 10, we spoke a few times on how I could update it but there was just no way for me to do it. Travis told me he would sell me the surface 9 pro (he would make sure to update it to windows 10 since he has a deal with a recycling company where he gets a discount on electronics and since it came from Microsoft they completely wiped it so he says. The reason for having to update such a new model) I spoke with him on the weekend about the surface pro 9 he told me he would get back to me but never did. I've tried calling and texting him, he even gave me his personal cell to reach him faster which he never responded once. I've tried asking for the money back completely but I think I've been blocked. I thought he could be trust worthy since he has a legitimate business but I guess I was wrong. I payed $100 for the surface pro 4, which was basically all the money I had. I can't use the computer for school which has been hard especially since I gave him all my money.
