We visited Traversos for my nephew Bday on a Saturday evening we were seated right away, service was great! Waitresses were on point no mistakes with the food the drinks were strong and delicious. Traversos Restaurant is so unbelievably good. It is now my wife and I Friday night go to Restaurant. Traversos is located on Naper Plainfield Road in South Napervill. Whether it's tavern style thin crust, pizza, king size cocktails, or an Italian meal off the menu you will not be disappointed not to mention their appetizers that are big enough to feed three people. Some of my favorites are the thin crust tavern style pizza, the lasagna which I have yet to finish completely, it's so big or the handmade ravioli. It was my first time trying, and I have to admit, I was slightly disappointed with my pizza. I wanted to love this place and saw all the good reviews. My thin crust ended up a little soggy after short ride home, with the cheese sliding off each bite. I prefer a crispy crust, so maybe I should have requested it well done, though I'm not sure that would have solved the issue. Our first visit after hearing good reviews from friends. The service was excellent! Not just our waiter but the hostess & other wait staff filled our drinks, picked up dirty dishes, brought more bread without us asking. It became extremely loud when several larger groups showed up. Too bad they didn't have a separate room for them. Our food was good but could have used a bit more lemon on my picatta & mozzarella on the chicken parm. One of the "Mr. T's" even came to see how we were doing. oh & the tiramisu was excellent. Hopefully next time we go back we can enjoy the quiet ambience. read more

Great local Italian restaurant and bar. One of the 2 owners is always there and the people that work there seem to like it and low turnover of staff. For my first review of 2022, this is a solid one. It's been a while since my wife & I carried out Italian. Having recently moved to Naperville, we needed something that would for sure hit the spot & boy did it! Both side salads were very crisp & tasty. The chicken parm had a light layer of breading & mozzarella with a nice marinara that had a little kick to it. Suuuuuch a good balance here. Even the basics of the bread & pasta were very well done. My only minor issue which was why I didn't offer 5 stars was that we'd love to have been offered a dessert menu or more drinks after our meal, but we felt a bit hurried by the check coming as soon as they came to clear our dinner dishes (the reason I say this is minor is that it was during COVID and so I'm sure they are trying to get as many people through the door as they can with the limited capacity they have. read more
