It was my first time here on Friday and let me tell you it was definitely not my last! The traditional pizza was out of this world! The food is Salerno's which is very tasty! Our service was great as well. I loved that they had a band as well. It is hard to find places these days with live bands. Only thing I would recommend is having a hosts stand in the front so people are crowding around the front confused on where to sit and avoid waiting in a line. read more

My husband and I came here recently after leaving the Morton Arboretum, and we had a pretty good experience, but it was nothing special, in my opinion. When we walked in, I liked the ambiance. It was bright from having many windows, and I liked the mix of brick, stone, and wood details on the walls. I'm also a sucker for places that have garage-like windows that open all the way up. When we sat down, our waitress seemed a bit overwhelmed because she was one of two waitresses helping customers inside and outside. The restaurant wasn't overly crowded, but she didn't seem like she wanted to be there; she wasn't very personable. It took about 10 minutes for me to get my Blue Moon I ordered, which was a bit annoying, but I was very thankful I ordered water too because my husband and I got those right away. Foodwise, I ordered an Italian Sausage and Beef Combo Sandwich ($13) and my husband ordered a Cobb Salad ($15). My sandwich was okay, and it hit the spot because it took a while for it to come out, but the bread tasted a bit hard, so I ended up eating the meat inside by itself. The Italian sausage was cooked perfectly and was full of flavors and spices, but the beef was subpar and bland. I wish I had asked for au jus on the side because I think everything just needed to be drowned in gravy to make it a bit more flavorful. My husband's salad was okay, but I tried a piece of his chicken, and it had no seasonings on it. It was so plain and kinda gross, in my opinion. He also ordered his salad with caesar dressing instead of their homemade vinaigrette, but it didn't taste or look like caesar. He asked to make sure it was correct and our waitress confirmed that it was corrected. He didn't mind, but we both agreed it wasn't the best salad he ever ordered. Overall, I would give this place another try and order either pizza or a calzone because it seems that everyone raves about those more than anything else here. read more

As a Salerno chain, Evviva is a lively and classic bar , they always have live music and events going on (live bingo on Tuesday's at 6:00), just look up the website for for info, but that's besides the point, your mouth will water once you smell the original pizza! The chicken tenders will think they had the chickens clucking in the back tasting so fresh and crisp! I have come here many of times, this is definitely the place to hang with friends or family. My daughter loves this place! Just be prepared this place can get exciting with loud music and drinks pouring! Also I have the greatest waiter always so respectful and knowledgeable. Had a much better experience this time! We asked and made sure we understood what the special covered, and there were no problems. Our server was friendly and helpful, even when I accidentally knocked our entire pizza on the ground while trying to cut it. They quickly made a new pizza for me, and didn't charge us for the first one. I felt very embarrassed, but they reassured me they would take care of it. We were visiting the area for a wedding. Our choice for dining is always to eat at a local place. My wife did some research and Evviva popped right up, and being originally from Chicago, the Salerno name was one we knew well. Jammed on a Friday night, with families and couples. But it took no more than 10 minutes to have a table and place out order. Started with a perfect Capree salad and then on to the pizza. Beyond great. just cheese, sauce, sausage and onion. We had a wonderful "server", th egrandaughter of one of the brother that founded these great Salerno restaurants. Found out there is one in our home state of Arizona in Gilbert. Jack the manager for the late afternoon, effectively explained that every Wednesday their very loud and obnoxious patrons came in and were so loud anyone in the low boy seating would be subjected to them. We had no choice at the time but to sit near the load obnoxious seniors and no one advised us we should not sit there. Jack, the manager on duty, did not care about our plight whatsoever and indicated, this was entirely our problem and that if we didn't like it it wasn't his problem. I normally don't do reviews but although Evvviva's pizza is excellent their service and management is lacking. I ordered carryout and they forgot my caesar salad on an $80 order and when i called them they delivered it and told me they would give a a $10 credit. I ordered a 2nd time and was told unless my name was in their notebook they would not honor it or give me any credit and were very rude. I will not be going back a 3rd time. Evviva is one of our all time favorites! The atmosphere is really warm & trendy but has that cozy neighborhood feel. It is also a GREAT place to watch your favorite sports ( especially the Chicago Blackhawks). When you go there you definitely have to order the pizza it is the BEST ( even the cauliflower pizza) but feel free to order what you like because trust me ALL the food is good ( chili, wings, wraps, pasta, paninis, etc.) & the drinks are always cold. Weekly specials are a great deal and kid friendly in the early evening. Sausage pizza is hands down one of the best in the area and they serve grilled calamari. Many great options on the menu. Where to start I understand it was New Year's Eve, and it was packed, but all the tables around me were getting service? multiple times we tried to order food (never got to order any food if you can see by the bill) at times had completely nothing to drink at all I don't know what the "alcohol tax is, I have never seen any Restaurant charge list before ever. and a "hospitality fee" is, but I can tell you, I've never felt more unwelcome anywhere in my life and things sure were not hospital, especially if I was paying extra for it, but I can tell you I won't be coming back here again. All the tables were promptly waited on except ours and yes I did reflect that in the tip I'm tired of paying 20% or more to get nothing except crap service, and I don't know what all these other fees are either. We went in for lunch today. Its a good spot. Our waitress was really awesome. The grilled Calamari was very good. We ordered the tequila lime wings because the menu said they were grilled. Unfortunately they were not. They were ok, very dry. I got the Evviva pizza on the cauliflower crust and it was really good. Poor customer service. Got charged for a kids meal even though their website and server told me kids eat free on Tuesdays. They said their menu changed and they will not be removing the kids meal which was only $7. Their website still says kids eat for free. The owner came over and refused to remove the kids meal. I told them ok fine then I won't be tipping and won't come back and the owner responded saying "Ok". They clearly do not care about their customers or their staff. Stay away from here. read more

Salerno's Up front you should know that the pizza and possibly other items on the menu are from Salerno's or same recipe. I'm not sure if this place is owned by Salerno's, but the menu has the Salerno's name on it. That said, I grew up in St. Charles and went to Salerno's as a kid and even go these days. Salerno's has really good pizza options. Their thin crust pizza is really good Chicago style with the crust crispy. I got a calzone which was bigger than a football. I cut it up and shared it.
