Totally enjoyed our low key meal here as a first night in Venice. Sadik was warm, gracious and helpful. The Black Squid Spaghetti was excellent. The view peaceful, the wine relaxing. Looking forward to trying it again while we are here.

I chose the "Taglita de Manzo con Rucola e Grana" with French fries.

Eating dinner at Do Mori was amazing. After checking in at our hotel, my wife and I just had to walk around and take in the beautiful local scenery. We found this little restaurant, looked at the menu posted on the window and decided to give it a try. It was the first restaurant in Venice we dined at and we had a great experience. Tofi was our excellent waiter. He answered all our questions about the menu selections. My wife chose "Branzino alla Griglia" with grilled vegetables, and i decided on the "Tagliata di Manzo con Rucola e Grana" with French fries. It was delicious. My sliced steak was perfectly cooked; my wife's sea bass was grilled to perfection, ohh so good! We absolutely devoured all of our main courses! We decided to share a dessert at the end of our meal. Tofi highly recommended the house made Tiramisu. My wife loves Tiramisu, I not so much. After the first and second spoonful bites of it... i realized my mistake! I should've had my own tiramisu, just for myself. The texture and beautiful flavor... OMG! We washed all of that down with limoncello, compliments from the house.

My boyfriend and I had a wonderful experience here. We walked by the restaurant and the owner was asking if we would like a spot. We said we'd walk around a bit before deciding the place and he politely thanked us and let us go, without hassles. After looking at the menus at the 2 restaurants down the street, we decided that Do Mori has the most appealing menu. We got the sadine as appetizer, sliced beef and mixed grilled fish dish as main courses. The food were flavorful and came in the timely manner. The price was affordable for the amount of food and quality. However, price affordable is relative compared to where you live and what you're used to. We are from San Diego so I thought that price was right The waiter can come off as a bit pushy but no where near rude or unattentive as the below comments stated. Also, the restaurant is opne on Sunday, not sure why Yelp said they are closed.

What better way to spend it than wandering around Venice and enjoying dinner at Rossopomodoro? They're still in the "Italy training program" and these menus tend to confuse them, so after three weeks here I felt obligated to guide them toward the promised land. After much studying, debating, and staring at menus, it was finally time to order. I went with the Tagliatelle alla Bolognese, and the wife and I shared a salad. When that salad hit the table, it nearly stole the entire show. We drizzled on a little balsamic vinaigrette, added a shake of salt and pepper, and suddenly we were ready to dance right there in the alley. Fresh tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, crisp greens--every ingredient tasted like it had been picked that morning. It was outstanding. The pasta was very good, but today the salad was the undisputed champion of the meal. Of course, dining outside along Venice's busy walkways only adds to the experience. Watching people pass by while enjoying great food is one of those simple pleasures that makes Venice such a special place. Rossopomodoro delivered a fantastic meal and a great evening. The newcomers survived their first full day in Italy, and I'd say they're off to a pretty good start.
