When in Italy you must try their wine and steak. My wife and I decided to celebrate our anniversary at one of the best steak houses in Florence, and this place is one of the best. From the food, wines, and service. We are so lucky to have Michaela. The way she prepared our wine, her recommendations are all perfect. Our dinner is close to perfect. This time I won't hesitate to give the highest rate I've given so far... 5.0

I made a reservation for this restaurant at around 11am before going that night and had no problem getting a spot! If you make a reservation within a certain time frame, you get a discount! I want to say it's before 7pm but I'm not 100% sure. I got the florentine steak with and it was absolutely amazing. It was one of the best steaks I've ever had! The truffle pasta was also amazing. I definitely recommend eating here for a good steak!

This spot was recommended to try Florentine steak and it was sort of a meh experience. I didn't realize there were multiple locations of this place when I made the reservation so maybe this location isn't their best one... Service was sort of non existent and they forgot our appetizer (that came with my husband's meal)and a side we ordered. It was hard to get water refills or even place the order. Other tables seemed frustrated too. The strange thing is one family (who I think knew someone who worked there) got 5 star service.... That being said, the steak was bland and just blah. While a great deal for €25 as it came with water, wine, an appetizer of crostini's, a side dish of potatoes, and a steak (for 1) - it was just blah. I got the roast fish for €18 which they deboned and served table side that was surprisingly tender and flavorful. That one dish I would recommend but I think there are probably MUCH better steakhouses in Florence to try.

    T-bone ordered medium rare. 1KG

Half hour standing outside after our reservation. Atmosphere is better at a Long Horn. Tables are crammed together. Screaming babies, barking dog. Waiter was useless, specifically asked that our Florentine t-bone be medium rare and not blood rare. That didn't happen. Other tables had their steak brought to the table before cooking. Not us. Waiter couldn't answer any questions about the other al la carte items. Food was at the table 15 minutes from order before he asked about drinks. Just as well, only spritz, beer and wine. No wine by the glass only half bottles. Steak comes on a sizzling iron platter so we spent 15 minutes cooking it to our request like a Korean BBQ. Steak was good although I don't know what was Florentine about the preparation. I read that other places cook with wood and char the steak outside but this was just a rare steak. Definitely not a steak house experience. Big let down. Avoid.

Absolutely amazing evening- we spent 3 hours enjoying our dinner on our last night in Florence. Our waiter Marco was awesome. The menu is a bit confusing with all different types of steak- Marco expertly guided us thru it. He made a suggestion that we go with the certified local beef ( after clearly explaining the differences) and we followed his guidance. I had a small bottle of a wonderful Bolgheri red, while my husband had a few local beers. We ordered a mixed green salad, a 1.2 kilo steak and fries. I was concerned as Florentine Bistecca is served rare~ and I don't eat meat that red. Marcos said it would be served on a hot stone so mine could cook a bit longer to my liking - that was perfect. The steak was delicious- tender and lightly seasoned. The wine was amazing and we had a lovely desert wine to finish the meal. Overall between the food and service an easy 5 star experience ~ I highly recommend this spot for a lovely evening.

We were recommended to dine here in Italy, including the raving reviews this restaurant has seen, however, I believe our first mistake was this is a chain steakhouse within Florence, which is a red flag, even internationally. Upon being seated, our waiter (Marco) didn't come to remotely greet us for around 5-10 minutes. I was under the impression he had more than 5 tables or was cooking the meals, but that wasn't the case. From the moment the waiter touched down at our table, I could sense he wasn't happy we weren't Italian, yet Americans, as locals came in and out of the restaurant, they received white gloves service from beginning to end. I ordered the MENU BISTECCA- STEAK MENU, comes with the following for 25,00 which seemed like a good deal: (recommendation from server as their specialty) Crostini misti Rib roast steak (medium) Patate al forno o insalata mista Baked potatoes 0.37 cl water and 1⁄2 bottle of win Soon after ordering, the wine and water immediately arrived. Roughly 20 minutes later, the food comes out, now just my steak alone. Didn't receive the crostini or potatoes and I had to ask the server of the food, not the waiter. Both were brought out immediately afterwards. The crostini is an appetizer and if the waiter would have stopped accommodating the locals, he would have cared to assist us, along with the other tables that weren't locals. Also, he forgot about the side with the steak that comes with the meal. The steak was supposed to be cooked medium, unfortunately it was medium well to well done. I was tempted to send it back, but given the circumstances of our dining experience already, I was just going to deal with it. Bottom line, I don't know what the fuss is about this place as it's not anything to cry home about. Maybe this just a bad dining experience or maybe this restaurant has peeked. I'd stick to the the long line of authentic Italian restaurants while in Florence and skip this dining experience altogether.

The steak came out with great presentation. Sizzling on a hot plat. Giant piece of meat. We easily finish all the meat, so it was good. The steak tasted normal though - not as beefy as dry aged beef, or not as flavorful at some other places i have tried (Porteno in Sydney), Just regular red meat taste. A little not salty enough. For sure not the best steak i have ever eaten. Probably due to the simple way how Florentine steaks are cooked. The tiramisu was also mid. Servers were somehow all non-Italian (Indians), so that gave me a touristy vibe. But whatever lol. Anyways, it was still a good dinner date overall, so just want to leave it at a positive note.

Since we knew we couldn't finish the gigantic Florentine steak, we opted for the rib eye steak. I was particularly impressed with the steak. It was surprisingly tough considering it was rib eye. Did not notice much marbling on the rib eye either. On the other hand, I did enjoy the Beef Ragu as it provided tender chunks of beef in a tomato and carrot based ragu sauce. Very tasty and the pasta was tender and good bite to it. The service was subpar and uneven for us. Nobody even acknowledged us for 10 min after we sat and I had to flag someone to help us. The waiter seemed disinterested and just asked whether we are ready to order. Seems like they didn't know who was supposed to serve my table. Oh well. Guess I won't be coming back give all the restaurant options in Florence.

He was awesome and had us laughing the entire night. We peppered him with a lot of questions about the menu, he answered everything and also accommodated my father-in-law, who is GF. For app I had the anchovies with roasted red pepper, sea salt and oil over grilled crostini, very good. I skipped first course and ordered the ribeye steak for my main course. Bone in, medium rare, sprinkled with sea salt and a side of onion marmalade. The steak was very good and had way less fat than I expected. The waiter suggested a huge steak for the table, but I was the only one ordering steak that night. Maybe next time. Everybody was pleased Really cool spot with a very good wine selection, drinks, excellent food and a fun atmosphere that you don't find at many places. Nugo was an A+ server.

We were browsing the menu outside when the owner was nice enough to invite us in. We ordered wine and got complementary appetizers which consisted of some meat and bread with olive oil and balsamic. We browsed the menu and couldn't decide on what to get because unlike other steak houses this one had many many other cuts to choose from but we settled on the infamous BISTECCA ALLA FIORENTINA. After we ordered it took about Roughly 15-20 minutes before our perfect piece of meat came out. The meat was tender and juicy and so perfectly seasoned. Every single piece of meat was meat in your mouth worthy. Even though the piece we got was huge it was sooo good my sister and I finished it no problem. We were let down by our first attempt in Florence when the meat was tough and mostly flavorless. After much research, he decided we were going to The Cut. We luckily scored reservations via thefork, one day in advance. We started off being served complimentary prosecco and a grilled mortadella amuse buche. We ordered the carpaccio chianina, grilled ember vegetables, and their daily special, an Argentinian beef (10 year old dairy cow that had been aged 60+ days). We asked if we should order any toppings or sauces, and the answer was no - neither was needed (as the flavor of the steak should stand out on its own). I appreciate that. Unfortunately, they ran out of the carpaccio chianina, so the owner comped us a chianina tartar so we could try the infamous chianina. Very tender yet robust flavor, especially with the salt. The steak (medium rare), cooked perfectly and very tender, but I can't say it was amaze-balls. Also, both this and the chianina only came in rib eye (not full T-bone), but that meant we could order 1 kg instead of the 1.2 kg minimum. That was good since between the two of us, we could not even polish off the 1 kg. The grilled ember vegetables were delicious! Too bad there just weren't that many of them. The owner apologized and told us they were on the house, since his shipment did not come in due to the holiday on Monday. We are from out of town, so honestly we wouldn't have know the difference if that was a normal or sparse portion. That was nice of him. Service was A+. Attentive, knowledgeable and so hospitable. Reservations are a must! This is a small restaurant and many parties were turned away during the duration of our meal there only.
