Had dinner reservations here for dinner to try the bistecca alla Fiorentina. We ended up choosing the local beef, which was a wet aged maremmana steak. It was 129 euros for the steak, which is comparable to a tomahawk steak in NJ. I had a glass of red wine, and they gave little complimentary dishes of a tomato puree for an appetizer (forgot the name but it was really good). We chose porcini mushrooms and white bean sides. They brought out a plate of roasted vegetables instead of the mushrooms, which they took back, but then a manager came out to inform me that they didn't have any mushrooms. We accepted the roasted vegetables instead. Preferred the beans over the veg and too bad about the mushrooms. They asked how we wanted the steak (medium rare). The steak came out more medium than medium rare and lightly seasoned with a little salt and rosemary. I was surprised it was overcooked rather than undercooked, which we would have preferred. I was aware going in that many steaks in Florence weren't heavily seasoned - I do prefer mine seasoned more, rather than add extra salt. We didn't know at the time, but the olive oil was also something that is used on steaks in Florence (this was not mentioned by the server). We wanted to try it the way it was served to us without adding anything, but I wish we had. It seems that dry aged is more flavorful than wet aged - though this was the first wet aged steak we have ever tried. I'm glad we tried it, but we weren't blown away for this price. For dessert, I wanted to try cantucci e vinsanto while in Florence. The alcohol was a bit strong for my taste, but the biscotti were pretty good lightly dipped in it. We also ordered an espresso. Some of the menu item descriptions are a little eccentric, which makes it confusing once it translates to English. We enjoyed the outside seating.
My first time having Florentine steak and wow wow wow. We had the panzanella salad which was a nice refreshing start. After that we had the Florentine steak about 1.3 kg. Here you pay by weight. We also opted for the salad, porcini mushrooms and the queen fillet with summer truffles. Everything was amazing but the standouts were the steak and potatoes. I couldn't believe how good the potatoes were. They must have been fried in the steak fat. For dessert we had the tiramisu which was made today. I'm usually not a fan but this was one of the best I've had. Service was excellent. Our waiter recommended the exact amount of food and the owner and chef even served us during our meal. Both were very friendly. I will definitely come back when I'm in Florence again. Also we had the house wine which was excellent. To finish everything off the chef suprised us with some grappa.
With all of the options in Florence why waste your time with a sub par dining experience. I'Tuscani offers amazing food, outstanding staff and a personalized experience. With an incredibly welcoming atmosphere and great location why make a mistake.. Don't waste your money or time on a meal with you can have an outstanding experience and meal together!
Enrico was amazing! Great service, steaks were impeccable. Had the time of our lives and at the end Enrico served us Limoncellos. We Love Enrico
You need a RVSP but we lucked out. I think they saw our face of starvation and felt petty and thank goodness for that because the service, food and ambiance were more then we expected!! Everyone went over the top to make us feel welcome! I am a foodie and everything from the wine to last bite was simply mouth watering!
Best meal in Florence! I made reservations prior to arriving in Italy and am glad I did. This was by far the best meal in Florence and the best meal in Italy. We shared the Bistec Chianina, which was 85 euros for two people. It was cut for us and like a t-bone, came with the filet on one side and ribeye on the other side. We were served some nice, salted ham and toasted bread which we drizzled with olive oil and a crack of pepper, rosemary and salt alongside it. Next came the steak which was cooked medium rare and recommended by the waiter. We normally eat our steak medium but wanted to experience how it should be eaten. It was perfectly cooked and not too rare for us. Seasoned nicely with salt and served alongside the tastier fried potatoes and a simple arugula salad with olive oil. At the end, we were served 6 pieces of biscotti and two shots of sweet liquor to dip them in. The server was outstanding, food was our most expensive meal whole in Florence and worth every penny and the entire meal was memorable.
Enrique one of the owners is rude. I found a worm in my steak.he gets upset and says it's a tendon. But it isn't.. take my plate away and charge me full price. Its funny a nerve and or a tendon only found in one peice of steak. Crazy!!! Althought I've only eaten 1/3rd of 1.3 kg of food i would be more than happy to pay sowmthing but not full price. Not worth the price. Not worth the trip. Watch your steak.:(
I can't say enough amazing things about this place. The two owners are SOOO kind - it was our first time eating there and they made us feel like family. The Florentine steak is a must have!!! Unforgettable dining experience.
It was our first night in Florence and naturally we had to try their steak Florentine. We originally made a reservations for this place at 6:30pm but we became hungry and arrived earlier at 5pm. They were more than happy to take us. I recommend you make a reservation as this is a small place and as the night went on they got busier. First I must say I love their approach on the organic compostable plates and paper. Our server literally said we can break off a piece of our plate and eat it. Of course we weren't brave enough to try but it is nice to know they are aware of the world and doing their part. That and the fact that they serve delicious food while providing excellent service should be enough for you all to come give them a try. Sadly, I do not recall our server's name but he was extremely helpful in explaining the menu. We opted for the 96euro dinner for 2 which came with house wine, water, huge piece of signature steak, and 2 sides (we chose potatoes and seasonal salad). They hooked it up and also gave us a small piece of filet to try. To start, we got the charcuterie board with meat & cheese. You can't go wrong with that. Our absolute fave was the pork & mushroom salami. Our server gave us some bread and delicious olive oil to try. We were so full by the end but wait! That's not it, there's more goodies! Our server brought out biscuit to be dipped with a dessert wine, which easily became my favorite. I can eat this all day. Last but not least he gave us unlimited grappa/limoncello to taste. We were drunk, full, and happy. At the end of it all we asked for a recommendation of a good bottle of wine to take home as we had such a wonderful time. If there's one place you need to book while in Florence it is here for the wonderful food, service, and atmosphere.
My partner and I had an amazing dinner here while visiting Florence! We had never had a Florentine steak before and had seen good reviews for this place. The saying goes that it's not a real steak unless it's 4 fingers thick, and this steak was definitely *thick*!! Tuscani 2's Florentine steak was the best and biggest steak I've ever had in my life, weighing in at 1.4kg. The value for cost was good, but it was admittedly difficult to finish with just two people. It was so delicious that we managed to though! Good service and friendly staff.
Delicious meal - service was also solid tonight. We sat down and our order was taken quickly... we of course got the Bistecca alla Fiorentina which is why we picked this spot. Our server brought out several selections and explained the differences between the meat and let us choose our cut - which made the experience even better. The steak itself was soo good - amazing flavors in every bite. We got the roasted potatoes and mushrooms as sides and it paired well with the steak. Their house red wine was dry and a great complement to the steak. Overall, an easy 5-star rating! read more
The most amazing steak florentine of my life. What an incedible experience!!! This was the best steak I have ever had! My friend and I decided to come and try and I am so glad we did. Pair it with their house red was perfect. The service was great. They even brought out two different steaks so we could chose the size and cut. The steak was cooked and seasoned perfectly and it was full of juice. I will be dreaming of this steak for the rest of my life! I wish I was able to go back and have another one. Definitely worth your money here. read more

Steak is out of this world! The tiramisu was perfect. The music playing is great to keep the smooth steakhouse vibe. The service is wonderful, everyone is so friendly and take the time to explain the background of steaks or simply answer your questions. I was disappointed when they put bread on the table it was hard/stale. It's also pretty warm in there. read more

My husband and I did a meal making course here, and they exceeded every expectation we had. I want to start by saying the owners are literally the best people we met in all of Europe! The food now, it is totally worth every cent. We started with a round, or two, or Prosecco and had an appetizer of what seemed to be a classy chili dish. We then had the best steak ever with sides of fried potatoes, bell peppers, egg plant, and zucchini. We then had tiramisu, which was perfect. I'd highly recommend. read more
I came here my friend to try the famous Florentine steak he always spoke of and was not disappointed. This restaurant was not easy to find as its doors were closed and its dimly lit and right off an unassuming alleyway. We were seated in the basement and ordered the cheese assortment and the €70 steak which came with potatoes, vegetables, wine, and bread. The cheese was alright but neither of us were big cheese lovers so it got heavy really quickly and we couldn't finish it. I wouldn't get that again. On the other hand, the steak came in big thick slices and were very rare-- appearing a bright pink/red. The steak was very juicy and had great flavors. It was juicy and tender for the most part. I loved how they cooked the potatoes as well while the vegetables and bread were nothing special. The service was amazing and I could tell this was a local spot but I would definitely recommend it! AH take me back to Italy. My husband and I spent our first anniversary at this place. The service is so fantastic, and the house wine is something to write home about. The menu is very very limited, essentially you can choose to split a steak or a big steak. We were there for quite a while, just enjoying the atmosphere. During this time, they brought us out a couple of appetizers. We truly had such a wonderful time. Then, the steak came out. It was the best of my life. Fantastic Florentine experience. Friendliest, most hospitable service we received during our entire week in Italy and, as you can see in the photo, the beef was perfect seared in the Florentine style. It was plenty for four people, came with all the "fixins", and we were able to get some good wine too. Definitely recommended for tourists in Florence looking for a friendly casual spot to try the famous Florentine steak. read more
BEST MEAL IVE EVER HAD IN MY LIFE!!!!!! I cannot emphasize this enough!!!! Go to this place! It is worth the money, it is worth the wait, it's worth everything!!! Get the t-bone cooked as they suggest and then enjoy the best meal of your life! The meat was perfect, the sides were delicious, the chips were AMAZING (crave them every day), the appetizer was perfect, and the wine complimented everything perfectly. This restaurant really gave us an experience. It's an open door establishment during the summer so we enjoyed the nice cool air while we dined. We took a quart of the house red and enjoyed a kilo of their Florentine Steak. They are very eco conscious here and believe in using ethical practice in house, such as plates that were edible/biodegradable. The meat is cared for in a very particular way. Directly on the flame grill and only after, seasoned with olive oil, sea salt and rosemary. You can taste the flavor of the meat unlike you would in an American steakhouse who uses rubs or marinades. They will bring the cut out raw for inspection prior to grilling! This was a great evening to spend in Florence. We will be back next time we are in this neck of the woods! read more

I was in a group so we were able to try a lot of the recommended steaks. But holy cow I would 100% recommend ANY of their steaks. It was delicious, tender, and the atmosphere was also great for friends or romance. read more

Came here for dinner with some friends. We were all extremely satisfied by the food, of course, but what really made this place special was the service we experienced. The server was clearly a big part of the establishment, and wanted us to really enjoy our experience. He put a lot of care into the foods he served. He offered to reheat our steak if it got cold, since it took a long time to eat, and gave us complimentary Grappa at the end, sharing a shot with us and the table next to us. The place itself was intimate yet welcoming and comfortable. We were extremely satisfied. Also: we all agreed we never had a better potato, which is saying a lot for a potato. read more

This was the best meal we had during our short stay in Florence. It's not cheap but was a very tasty and pleasant experience. We got the 80 euro meal for two, which includes a cheese/ham platter, one big Florentine steak with some sides, and a 0.5L of house red wine. The steak itself is a ~2.5in thick T-bone steak, cooked medium rare. The place has seating on both the ground level and basement. We were lucky to get a table downstairs because there was a table of 6 guys upstairs that were being extremely loud. It would have been a pretty bad experience if we had sat next to them. As we stood there waiting for our table to be ready, there was this couple trying to have a romantic dinner but they couldn't even talk to each other just from how much noise and fuss these guys were making. So if you're really into steak this is a great place to go, just don't bank on it being that romantic dinner you're looking for. read more

First off- make reservations before going because dinner will be about one hour wait. If you don't read the whole thing ^^^^ is the most important. You're on a trip so don't waste your time waiting around. It's a very cute restaurant that has a very simple menu. They're pretty quick with their service compared to other restaurants. Cheese plate - words can't describe the fat and flavors. Order it! T-bone steak cooked to rare - waiter recommended rare instead of medium. They don't cook medium rare. Rare is not drowning in blood, but it is red. In my opinion, it wouldn't have tasted as good if it is medium, but if you like medium in general go on! They have fresh rosemary and salt seasoning for your use. You pay at the cashier area on 1st floor back. Overall experience, the best quality steak you'll get in Italy. Must try! read more

My husband and i decided to treat ourselves and were not disappointed with this place. The steak dinner was beyond amazing. Did not like that the veggies come cold. However, th potatoes and house wine more than make up for it. I recommend you make reservations, as this is a small place. read more

What can I say.....AMAZING! This place was recommended by friends who visited Florence prior and it did not disappoint. The food was delicious....you have to try the potatoes!! Also, along with the great food the staff was helpful, nice, engaging, and they did not let us drink our aperitif of Grappa alone! Get the large steak option with a liter of wine, sit back and enjoy the experience! read more
