I didn't know there is a park here next to east river. It is a small park and after long walked my puppy and I couldn't find a bench to sit so we just sat on the floor under the shade. Lots of people just lay down on the grass and enjoy the sun. Dog must be on the leech which is I like. Because the park is next to the water so they have a fishing area but no shade or anything so it can be very hot in the summer.

Waiting for the movie to start.

Nice little park to spend an evening and watch a movie. I came here for the first time on 08/12/2022 to watch Encanto and have a chill evening with some friends. The park itself is okay. While some folks sat on a blanket or on the bare grass/dirt we brought our chairs. Dogs are allowed at this park which means they pee and poop on the grass. Not all owners are responsible, AND unfortunately, we witnessed rats on the lawn. You could actually hear them. Ugh! All in all, I still enjoyed the movie, and watching children sing and dance. With just a little more care this park can go from a three star to a five star.

If you're looking for a way to soak in the sun, walk along the waterfront and take in amazing views of the city, come to this park! It's one of my favorite activities to do on the weekend. The park is located in Greenpoint, where there are a ton of trendy bars and restaurants to visit nearby. It doesn't get too packed either, which is nice. You can bring a blanket and have a cute picnic on the grass, or if you didn't plan ahead, there are plenty of benches you can sit on. I'd definitely recommend visiting this park -- it's the perfect place to spend a sunny day in Brooklyn!

PROS: + excellent large mural: There is a large mural facing the left of the image attached (see photo). + excellent view of Manhattan: There is an excellent view of Manhattan from across the East River. + board walk: There is a cool board walk feature that extends out into the water. The path takes you approximately 50 yards into the East River. It is really nice and has two different areas of benches for you to sit and rest; one of the stations is located at the very end, while another is in between the start and the end. People have taken a fishing pole to the waters. + Children's playground: There is a children's playground located in the park. It is small and does not look too out of place or uncomfortable. + Green space: The best thing about the green space here is that there is a sort of green front where you can lay down a blanket on a nice weather day. You can come at a time in the evening where the sun may set. It's nice to spend time with good friends here. CONS: - nothing: Though, the only thing I would suggest to the city is that more green space like this should exist. If they wanna beat out ANY cool city on the west coast, they should include more parks. As someone who was born in California, the biggest difference between everywhere I have gone in my outside of great cities in California are parks. There is one on every corner in California--exagerating. However, true. IMPRESSION: Take a date here. Lots of romantic couples. Nice park in Greenpoint. There are not many, this is a total highlight. In addition, there is a barge next to the park that can be accessed when you return to the main street. It is a barge bar. Have fun!

This park gives me life! I love how beautiful and clean it is. The view of Manhattan is breathtaking from this side. I delight myself eating by the water every so often. There is no better scene for me than this. There is something about sitting on the grass and eating as the wind kisses my face and the sun warms my skin. The sound of the water is hypnotizing. I don't think any park will ever top this one for me, at least not in Brooklyn. I have never seen this park packed or witnessed any rachets. It's a chill spot indeed. I recommend this park for the dog lovers, sun lovers, yoga-goers, and all those in between. I have not indulged in a glass of wine as I have seen others do, but I am sure that's hella nice too. I have been here early mornings and late nights. The sweetest spot for me is in between; when the sun is setting. The best things in life are free.

I swing by to this place most of the time after dropping off my son to his special visit to his girlfriend who lives blocks away from this place. Today was not an exception. I can't believe how many people were there.... on Christmas Day! It is a small park but gives big pleasure to guests. Just being there and looking over water the city skyline and the Williamsburg bridge gave me a contentment feeling even for a short time- peace, quiet and serene. It helped me breathe for a while especially after the hustle and bustle encountered during the holiday. There are many seats and wide grass ground to sit down for whatever the purpose of your stay. There is a small play ground for children. There is a short nature walk and a good sight of the geese and ducks playing on the water. And the best part, there is this pier that lays over the water. Simply presented. Blocks from the park is the East River ferry dock and subway station. A suggested place to stop by if you are in the area.

Back in the day, this "park" was filled with garbage, tires and a huge radio transmitter. A few years ago they decided to clean it up and voila! A park for the people. I have boys, I'm not sure if they allow skateboards but this would be the place for them to zoom out. It is a great spot to sit by the water and pontificate. Where else you can pontificate except in Brooklyn? Queens perhaps? Pul-eese...

Just a little outpost on the river. As soon as you get there, you can tell the views are the best part, but it's well manicured with affable nature and even some street art to make it feel eclectically Brooklyn.

Walking to my apartment in Manhattan in the morning from a night of debauchery, I caught a glimpse of the view offered by this park. So I took a left into the park, stared in wonder at the view, listened to the birds chirping, felt the balmy 60 degree December sun on my skin, and watched the butts of runners as they passed me by. Tranquil.

At the very end of Greenpoint Avenue, you will find the gate that opens up to green path circling around soft grass lawns. This is Transmitter Park. It's pretty new, only few years old, but the feel of it is not of the new development - rather of neighborhood place to sit and relax, for children to play, to soak in some summer sun and to enjoy the views of the city across the water. Many locals bring blankets and sit on the grass, but there are many benches along the path - and a pier that waves into the water, mimicking stream pattern of East River. Former WNYC Transmitter tower building still sitting in the middle of this small park with big history. Enjoy.

Stumbled onto this great place after having lunch nearby and decided to go for a walk. It's so nice to see families, couples, pets (and non pet designated areas too) scattered all around. The views are as amazing as everyone says...picture perfect! I will def be coming back to lounge in the sun...! Highly recommend to all...

A long, green stretch in Brooklyn right on the waterfront area. It is an open lawn area and has separate kid's play area too. Walking towards the area I reached this beautiful park which was full of people jogging, walking dogs, kids playing. Even has seating area where some were relaxing. View of the Manhattan skyline is wonderful from here. Good recreational park.

While walking around Greenpoint, I wanted to check out the area around the East River. I discovered this park at the end of Greenpoint Avenue. The park itself is small and unremarkable. Also, there is not much shade. The proximity to the water didn't diminish the heat of the day. I would probably have given it a three star review, if it were not for a few things: 1--the view is outstanding. You can look out to Manhattan and enjoy the skyline. Based on the photos I've seen from other reviews, the sunsets here are probably pretty amazing, and the temps would be cooler too. 2--the area is an oasis of green (at the end of Greenpoint) in an otherwise drab area. Also, despite the construction in the area, this park is generally peaceful, and it is nice to see the boats sailing by. 3--I feel like there is potential here, When the ongoing construction is done, and if they plant a few more trees, I can see this as a very nice place to hang out, have a picnic, sunbathe, and enjoy the view.

Looked more like a museum or some nice walkway to enjoy sightseeing of the Williamsburg bridge and the lower east side views of Manhattan, which is not that spectacular in my opinion because there are too many government buildings in that section so it's all brown over on the Manhattan side. Oh wells. Other than that, I'm shocked to see nice bathrooms a block away from the park for Domino Park guests! The bathrooms were really nice and modern! Each bathroom had dimmed lighting with a baby diaper changing station. One of the bathrooms was dirty with pee on the floor so I had to go to another one. Did not expect these nice bathrooms to get dirty like that! There were more bathrooms downstairs besides the ones on the first floor. The door to the bathrooms was very nice too! What a great job they did to this park. I cannot believe the Domino sugar factory still exists or is standing because I used to take the train and they be doing construction for many years for I don't know what reason. Looked like they turn downstairs into this nice modern park. So I went to the park to go to a Target pop up and got some nice freebies. There was enough space for pop ups and large crowds. Need to check out the rest of the park next time I'm here. Too bad there is no subway or trains going to this park and you need to resort to buses that take forever to arrive.
