Hubs and I sat here on a large rock that they have that surrounds the park while we ate our coin pastries from Speedy Korean Grill. The park has a few vendors setup that sells food. They also have some table seating areas and a public restroom.

My mom and I took some bagels to Greeley Square last weekend when we were staying in the area (the bagel shop had no available seating). The park has plenty of seating, and it was a great place to sit and enjoy our breakfast and coffee on a pretty morning. One of the best things about the city are its outdoor spaces where you can enjoy a meal or read. Greeley Square is one of those spaces for the midtown area. A decent place to enjoy a meal and some quiet in the city (at least in the morning).

A small park right in the heart of the city ! It is awesome just to sit there and sip a coffee . Perfect spot for visitors to take rest amidst their busy schedule walking through the streets of NY .. there are eateries close by too. Good views from here . Only issue is the park doesn't have a restroom (atleast I haven't seen it). You can go to malls in the vicinity for restroom services . Good overall ..

PARK & SCULPTURE: A Statue of HORACE GREELEY (1811-1872) lies in the Park named in his honor. GREELEY was the founder of the NEW YORK TRIBUNE Newspaper which existed between 1841-1924. GREELEY SQUARE is an attractive small triangular Park which is located in an area which used to be NYC's Newspaper and Printing district. WORTH VISITING.

Cute little park like place with small tables. Enjoyed just taking a little break to enjoy my coffee and relax.

Small outdoor seating area. Nice when the weather is good and will occasionally have food kiosks during the summer. The lights at night during the holidays are nice but I would not advise hanging out here at night.

This place is cute for a quick bite if your hungry as they have a few interesting vendors from icecream to Mexican food and burgers. If you've been to Smorgasburg you probably will not be impressed. There's a lot of people.. and very little areas of shade. This means that people will hawk to steal your chair and table. I went to Domos tacos it was really good and I recommend it for nachos. Nachos $12 Water $2 Eh. Cash and credit accepted.

    It's a unicorn!

There's a free public restroom. In NYC. That's not a Starbucks. If you give it anything less than 4 stars you're a noob, have a bladder like a bank vault, or are the kind of person that will whip it out anywhere. Don't be that person.

This is a great section of Broadway. I like to go to the square and sit for a while. Lots of people watching goes on here. It's just a convenient small space in a busy area. You can find a lot of great dining. Get something to go in the summer and sit in the Square to have lunch. It seams to me there is always something fun going on in the area. A green market, an art exhibit, sculptures on display. It's close to Macy's, Penn Station, the garment district and much more. It's a mixed up combination of high end stores side by side with junk stores. Literally something for everyone!! I like to hang out in the Urban Outfitters Flagship Store nearby. If you rush through the area you may miss the statue. I don't always stop at this spot. I'm glad to know it's there if I want to sit down a while!!

Nice place to people watch and just relax.

Go West Young Man, Go West! A quick Google and Wiki review of Mr. Horace Greeley, reveals some interesting tid-bits about this mega newspaper man from the 1800's. The name and the park are lost in significance in the shadow of the worlds largest department store, but I like to grab a quick lunch or people watch here. The pedestrian area that they added in recent years lets you sit in the street with the feeling that you are part of the roadway, as cabs, buses and bikers go zooming by, only separated by a small metal fence. Just about as close to the action as you can get.

Definitely a cool place to stop by for quick bites and drinks after work. Even though it's very crowded cuz it's a thoroughfare to Penn Station, and sometimes you get to play musical chairs if you really want to sit down and enjoy your food. Today I stop by for beer again at Top Hops Beer Shop. Very cool bar with a great beer selection in cans and on draft. I'll just hang out here a while before I head home.

Just south of Herald Square, this small patch of greenery offers a place to sit and catch one's breath. There is a statue commemorating the famed writer and editor, Horace Greeley. Among his best known declarations: "Go West, young man." That advice still holds.

It also hosts some public art exhibits, like one in the park through March 29, 2026 - Larry Bell: "Improvisations in the Park." My husband and I walked through the park a couple of times when we stayed in the neighborhood this past weekend. We spent our time walking through the park on one occasion to see the works included in the Larry Bell exhibit. Overall, a fine park for a walk through as a tourist, but probably more of a park for locals to enjoy the outdoors, dog run, and playground. In warmer weather, it's a nice park to sit and enjoy the sunshine or even grab lunch (from the Shake Shack in the park).

We were on our 4th game of 5 on 5 on this slanted, slippery court with double rims as the Midtown skyline looked over us. We had gone 3-0 and already on wobbly legs but wanted one more to really push ourselves to exhaustion and be WHOOPED. A group of 5 17 year olds showed up and I was lowkey like damn I don't wanna play these little kids for our last game but whatever, they got next. We were going back and forth, and to be fair they were actually pretty good but just too frail to give us any problems. At 5'10 174 lbs, I'm a BIG guard. I'm left handed, but shot a right handed floater fading to my right as I'm trying to get better. If you can hit a weak hand floater on the run you will be tough to stop. I bricked it and this little 17 year old kid goes "that's a TERRIBLE shot" looking at me dead in the eyes. Like bro y'all are losing and you suck why you talking? He woke me up and I started actually trying really hard and lowkey busting their ass... but tbh normally I'm not even that good. It was just one of those days where everything was falling. I hit a 3 and yelled out "THAT'S A LAYUP." I drove hard left, euro stepped and hit a tough finish through 2 and yelled "I"M TOO BIG," while flexing. I switched onto little homie and he took a terrible stepback shot after I turned him 3 times and bricked it. I just whispered to him "I don't even gotta say nothing after that one it speaks for itself" which really pissed him off. Then I hit the game winning 3 and did the Dame wave to him as he walked off the court PISSED as hell. I sat down and then he got the courage to say "STOP TALKING SO MUCH" while he put his hand together to mimic me YAPPING. I almost stood up and said "HOW BOUT U GET WIN?" But then I realized I'm a grown ass man and there is absolutely no reason to be jawing at this little kid on a beautiful Friday in New York City. I just kind of laughed at myself and asked what is wrong with me lol. All in all, these runs were kind of weak and this court is in horrendous condition. The court on the westside highway is still my favorite in the city. IG @jnov_ Tiktok @jnov_reviews

St. & Broadway New York, NY 10001 The Bucket Located in the Herald Square Holiday Market adjacent to Macy's is a chocolate chip cookie kiosk. An entire batch is immediately scooped up with a french fry scooper and handed off for your enjoyment. The Bucket: The primary ingredients in these cookies are all butter, brown sugar, and premium Callebaut chocolate. As soon as you try your first one, you will be far from done.
