Family oriented activities throughou this lush areat. Walking trails with awesome scenery. Food vendors and restaurants to please the pickiest of eaters From this location, you can take a ferry to Staten Island and one to go directly to the Statue of Libery.

Nice little oasis, that includes a children's park and park benches. This park is along the water, so it's great if you want to visit and take a stroll along the Hudson River. Right across the river is the New Jersey.l skyline.

Under construction at the time I went, the park at the southern tip of Manhattan has walking and biking paths, gardens, a memorial, and some other sights. There aren't a ton of amenities due to the construction. The paths were nonetheless well trod, and the view out towards the Statue of Liberty will attract many visitors. It is a light and open area, and I find it helpful to get outside of the concrete jungle and get some fresh air.

Love the battery in fidi. Great views and it always feels peaceful. One of my favorite places in the city.

This is a nice park with fresh mowed lawns all the time whenever I come visit the park. Grass is always maintained and never saw any where patches or weed at all. The children's park is huge and they have a nice water sprinkler set area with several fountains of water coming out. What's good about the children's park is that they now have plastic slides! The plastic slides are way different than the stainless steel ones! You slide down faster with the plastic ones and don't get your butt or legs chafed to death! Park is also very safe. You can just park your stroller near the entrance or by the gated fence along with other strollers and enjoy your time with your children without any worries.

One of my favorite things about New York City are its parks. The Battery is located at the southern tip of Manhattan and has beautiful views of the New York Harbor and the Hudson River. Whenever I take one of the Statue of Liberty cruises, I like to walk through The Battery afterwards. There is a lot of history at this park going back centuries. Castle Clinton, the SeaGlass Carousel and the Battery Bosque garden are some of the attractions that are here. There are also over 20 monuments on "Monument Walk". This includes the World War II war memorial that has thousands of names engraved on granite pylons. The Staten Island Ferry terminal is walking distance away from The Battery. The Battery is named for the artillery batteries that were built in the late 17th century. After the Revolutionary War, the Battery became a public promenade for walking. It has gone through many changes and improvements over the years. I remember The Battery being a safe haven for those fleeing lower Manhattan during 9/11. I personally enjoy walking through the garden and sitting on the benches while watching the boats in the harbor. Even through it looks small, you can see the Statue of Liberty from here.

Walking through Batter Park today brought me back to my much younger years. I worked nearby and had to walk my Boss's dog here daily! Urgh! I don't miss that job, whatsoever, but I did miss the park. Beautiful views, lots of space to take in the sights and not usually too crowded. If someone were visiting from another State or country, I would definitely suggest coming here for the sights and views. Unfortunately, there seemed to be a lot of construction and renovations taking place in the park, but still worth coming by!

PUBLIC PARK: The area was first settled by the DUTCH who built FORT AMSTERDAM here in 1626. The BRITISH took over the area in 1664. In the 1800s THE BATTERY became a popular entertainment destination. Since then the Park has been renovated numerous times over the years. I remember celebrating THE 4TH OF JULY at BATTERY PARK marking the Restoration and Centenary of the STATUE OF LIBERTY in 1986. Spectacular views. WORTH VISITING.

What a cute little beautiful place to sit & relax . Enjoy my coffee & write . Water always calms me down , my thoughts always becomes clear when I seat down hear by myself & just smell the water ! Most of the time it's pretty clean . I am surprised how it looks now after the new look . And it's still looks nice after this long , like other places which becomes typical ny city parks ! Most of the time they have a lot of food trucks , fruit trucks & small shopping areas . You can also buy tickets for going to Ellis Island to see The Statue of Liberty! Lovely place to spend evening with friends & just chill out. The sunset is always great too.

Nice park to walk through from the charging bull area on the way to the Staten Island Ferry terminal back in March. Bathrooms available to use and nice statues in the park to admire. Can see the Statue of Liberty way in the distance.

MANHATTAN/Battery Park: The Battery is in the lowest part of Manhattan and features 26 acres of public park land! Plants, gardens, views of the Statue of Liberty, Brooklyn, NJ, 3 dog parks, and there is even more to see and do. Leashed and friendly dogs are welcome on the hard surfaces and it is a nice spot to walk around and take in the incredible design of the area. The dog parks allows dogs off-leash. We love the mix of urban concrete with the softness of nature. The Battery's website offers visitor guides to help you get a full experience including what is currently in bloom, walk-through histories, and flora and fauna information!

For more than 200 years, The Battery has been an invaluable part of New York City's history. In 1855, Castle Garden, situated inside the Park, became the world's first immigrant depot. Decades before Ellis Island was built or the Statue of Liberty gazed down at incoming boats, millions of newcomers arrived at The Battery from Europe and elsewhere. Although its role has changed, people from around the world still visit The Battery for a view of the city's past. Ferries dock at its shore to pick up visitors to the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island, and all summer long concerts play on its grounds. Its beautiful waterfront and flower gardens make The Battery a lovely place to wander. For those who'd like a longer stroll, the park's location at the southern tip of Manhattan makes it a classic starting point for walking tours through the city. Many visits that we've had into New York city, we have stayed very close to the Battery, so we have enjoyed the little park and the beautiful setting close to the water.

Battery Park The green line comes here at bowling green stop. Once you get off just head straight to the water/harbor area, you can't miss this magnificent park. The waters have such a beautiful view. Plenty of seatings both near the harbor area and on the grass. So you can definitely grab a bite and take a rest to eat here. A lot of street vendors parked near the park. Also this park is right near the Staten Island ferry. There is also a kids playground. A must visit if for local and tourists!

Beautiful park with great views of the city. There's a great park here and it's easy to get to via train.

But Madison Square will always be my favorite. It's kept fairly clean and is a nice size. Mostly for the working professionals and students in the area, it's an awesome spot to eat lunch, with a great food selection in Flat Iron. It's home to the OG Shake Shack, which stands there til this day. There is also an awesome dog park there. This park is great at all times of the year, so don't hesitate to go now.

Besides that, I never paid much mind to the park, especially in light of the fact that it's not in my stomping grounds. Nevertheless, I had just finished brunching nearby and since it was such a gorgeous day out, I decided to take a walk through the park and check it out. MSP is not large - the center of it is a large green space with paths on the perimeter that contain walking paths and benches. In addition to the Shake Shack, there's also a small seating area nearby where you can sit and eat, or just hang out. The park is ideal of people watching, eating your lunch, or just walking around a space that contrasts the hustle and bustle of the surrounding areas. Because of the weather, it was a little crowded but still pleasant. Overall, MSP is fine - it's not worth coming to unless you're in the area IMO, but a pleasant spot nonetheless.

We were on our 4th game of 5 on 5 on this slanted, slippery court with double rims as the Midtown skyline looked over us. We had gone 3-0 and already on wobbly legs but wanted one more to really push ourselves to exhaustion and be WHOOPED. A group of 5 17 year olds showed up and I was lowkey like damn I don't wanna play these little kids for our last game but whatever, they got next. We were going back and forth, and to be fair they were actually pretty good but just too frail to give us any problems. At 5'10 174 lbs, I'm a BIG guard. I'm left handed, but shot a right handed floater fading to my right as I'm trying to get better. If you can hit a weak hand floater on the run you will be tough to stop. I bricked it and this little 17 year old kid goes "that's a TERRIBLE shot" looking at me dead in the eyes. Like bro y'all are losing and you suck why you talking? He woke me up and I started actually trying really hard and lowkey busting their ass... but tbh normally I'm not even that good. It was just one of those days where everything was falling. I hit a 3 and yelled out "THAT'S A LAYUP." I drove hard left, euro stepped and hit a tough finish through 2 and yelled "I"M TOO BIG," while flexing. I switched onto little homie and he took a terrible stepback shot after I turned him 3 times and bricked it. I just whispered to him "I don't even gotta say nothing after that one it speaks for itself" which really pissed him off. Then I hit the game winning 3 and did the Dame wave to him as he walked off the court PISSED as hell. I sat down and then he got the courage to say "STOP TALKING SO MUCH" while he put his hand together to mimic me YAPPING. I almost stood up and said "HOW BOUT U GET WIN?" But then I realized I'm a grown ass man and there is absolutely no reason to be jawing at this little kid on a beautiful Friday in New York City. I just kind of laughed at myself and asked what is wrong with me lol. All in all, these runs were kind of weak and this court is in horrendous condition. The court on the westside highway is still my favorite in the city. IG @jnov_ Tiktok @jnov_reviews
