The nails were lumpy and uneven, there was acrylic sticking out into my skin, it was messy and not what I wanted. After my trip, I came back for a take off and regular manicure. I had Taylor. She was nice. She cut my cuticles without asking. I would've said yes anyway, but she nicked me multiple times. Hi Everyone. PLEASE READ THIS!! After getting off the phone with the salon's owner, Mary, I was treated with the utmost disrespect and unprofessionalism. Disgusted to say the least. I called to ask about their exact location and cost for services. I was treated very rudely by the person answering their phone. I'd give a name, but she REFUSED to give me one. I asked how late they take walk-ins and she said that "It depends and they are very busy". I asked if I had to make an appointment, (knowing they take walk-ins) and she said "If you want to." She also said that it " sounded like I was outside somewhere because it was noisy on my end, so I should just come in." WOW! No, I was not outside the salon and why would you say something like that to someone? I asked to speak to someone else and I was left on hold and hung up on. I called back again to speak to someone else and the same girl told me that everyone was busy. I told her they just lost a would-be customer thanks to her and I was going to review their business and let others know how I was treated. She apparently found it amusing and started to giggle. I asked for the Owner's name and she said "I could be considered a manager." Now, what the heck does that even mean?? I got hung up on again. Third time I called hoping to speak to another person, I did but she did not give her name either, and she refusedto tell me the Owner's name too. She then called me a "Weirdo" and a "Freaking Weirdo" that has issues and to stop calling there or she will call the police. She also said to me "I have your phone number on our caller ID and I'll give it to them too!" I told her I'd do her one further and call them myself... and I DID. Shortly after, I get two hang-up phone calls from a Private Number. I reported it to the Aurora Police and they said to contact my phone company to investigate, and to make a report if I get harassing phone calls from them. I told the Officer how the employees conducted themselves. I did some research and found out that this place is NOT entirely legit according to our State licensing agency. I called just about a half hour ago and spoke to Mary (their so called owner) and she immediately got on the defensive and started to insult and accuse me of being a liar and said she doesn't care I spoke with the police. I told her I have every intention of reporting this salons conduct and hung up. Minutes later I get a phone call from Mary going wacko on the phone! I told her to never call my number again and if she did I would press charges for Harassment. Then another two blocked numbers with hang-ups and someone laughing in the background. Talk about psycho! So, there you have it folks. There is NO fabrication or lie in this review. And yes, I have contacted Aurora PD and report of conduct has been made. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE is my advice! read more

Absolutely LOVE this salon! I was so fortunate to find this hidden gem almost a year ago! Cynthia is an amazing stylist (and more) and I have become a devoted client! Since my first visit and every visit since she starts by reviewing what color highlights we did, the techniques she used, and the style she cut it. Each time I walk out feeling wonderfully refreshed with gorgeous hair! I don't feel worried about expressing my concerns or changes while she does my hair because she's very receptive and wants me to leave feeling I got what I came for. As any good stylist, she knows her products and her clients hair so taking her advice is wise. I trust her judgement and technique! These are qualities that are hard to find today. This is a fantastic, professional salon. Everyone is friendly. This is your small town neighborhood salon in our big city. It's a wonderful place to go and feel a personal touch, a few laughs about life, and the advice from a professional who does phenomenal work! This salon fills up quick so you better get on it! read more

I was blessed with Jennifer's magical hands. My hair was long, bland, and boring as if life dulled it. Well, not only did I get an appointment but it started at the time schedule. It's a one-stop-shop for me to let loose and love on myself. All the ladies were fun and gave lots of giggles. It not only feels like a girl's day out, I felt a home feeling where we all gather to make each other feel amazing. Thank you so many TRANSFORMATIONS!!! The experience was just that. I recently had my first hair appointment at this facility and couldn't have been more pleased. The salon is spacious and clean, with lots of available services. The salon provides access to aestheticians, masseuses, acupuncturist, red light therapy, and of course, hair stylists. The staff was very friendly and eager to answer my many questions. Angie, my stylist, worked her magic and I walked out with a haircut, color, and style that exceeded my expectations. I definitely plan to become a regular customer at this salon. I found a few photo examples of what I wanted (Rhianna Mohawk with Janelle Monae volume), and brought them to my appointment. Stephanie asked ALL the right questions, and made sure we were on the same page before she proceeded. I wanted to keep some length on the top for styling versatility. The result... perfection! Their website offers 50% off of your first service if you join the mailing list, which Alicia (the owner) graciously honored. With her having the knowledge of what products I use and my hair habits, we're able to keep track of my hair growth. She went onto measuring my hair, testing the porosity, and even noted my head shape, to give me a style that would best fit my face. I was instantly comfortable. Her spa is located in Greenwood Executive Park, in Building 6. You park at the far left, by door #1, and DTC Spa is downstairs. It's one room, with a bench, spa bed, and equipment. This is a new location for Donna. She checked me in, and redeemed my Groupon. Donna then carefully cleansed my face, steamed it, and began a thorough dermaplaning. She asked me if I wanted her to remove a clogged pore that has plagued me for years, and I said yes. She then asked which enzyme peel I wanted, brightening or acne. We decided that brightening was most appropriate. It's a pomegranate peel, and there was some temporary stinging. Donna massaged my shoulders while the peel was working, then massaged my face, removed the peel, put an LED light box over my face for several minutes, and then applied a toner and sunscreen. My face feels so soft, and the peel didn't irritate my skin at all. This peel doesn't have any downtime. My skin isn't flaking today. Donna is a lovely and charming woman, who has been doing skincare for many years. Her own skin is a testament to her dedication to good skincare. She also does eyelash extensions. Turns out that we both had TERRIBLE experiences at United Nails and Spa. Allergic reactions to their glue. So we bonded over that, lol. This isn't a typical luxurious day spa. It's a one-woman small business. But it was a very relaxing experience, and I'm extremely pleased with the facial services that I received. Donna even asked if I'd like her to zap a small spot on my chin. I haven't experienced this level of extra care at chain spas, at least not without extra charges. This is a very personalized service. I will be recommending Donna to my friends, several of whom have also left Spavia after many years.

The place was classy, superior customer service, and my wife walked out feeling like a new woman. Worth every penny to me and so a big thank you to this day spa for meeting my wife's very high expectations. She said that she was going to make this a regular occasion, because of how good they made her feel. Highly recommended from a husband, whose wife needs this type of pampering.

It had been a year since my last facial so I was really looking forward to it and I was not disappointed! The building location off Hampden was easy to find and there was plenty of parking. Her small studio was immaculate, lots of windows and I had a beautiful view of blue skies while on her table. Laura consulted with me before getting started and made me feel comfortable. She is very professional and kind and didn't beat me up too much about my skin. The facial consists of steam, cleansing, ultrasonic exfoliation and extraction and a masque. The bonus was a massage of head neck and shoulders, legs and feet! I loved it so much that I scheduled other services and have already recommended her to my daughter. DermaSoule is a small business and I think it's important to support small businesses especially those that managed to survive the past 2 years of hell! Go..you won't be disappointed!
