What are unique and memorable experience for my husband's birthday! We both experienced the head…read morespa and it was everything that we have seen and wanted! Not only do they treat your scalp and hair, but they give you a beautiful upper body massage. Really enjoyed the scalp imaging and analysis of our hairs. A lovely little snack tray after the services while they gave us a blowout. Looking forward to going back for other services, We have to try out the Korean skin care services. When in doubt, try it out! You will not be disappointed.

When we first got there, the staff were having some issues with their card reader so there was a little delay but they were apologetic. They had us pick out an essential oil scent at the desk (she got lavender, I got peppermint) - they use that at the beginning of the treatment when you first lie down. We were then given robes and directed to the changing room. A little small but it worked fine and they do have lockers with keys on stretchy bands so you can keep it on your wrist during the treatment. First stop was the front room where each esthetician used a little machine to look at our scalps. I have some scalp issues and my friend does not and our scalps looked kind of the same. Not sure the machine is particularly helpful. My esthetician didn't really ask me any questions or goals - my friend's esthetician was a little more talkative. I think mine might have been the owner who seemed a bit frazzled that day. We finally went into the spa room and they got us onto the tables but there was another ~5 minute delay or so. The experience was a bit more 'scrubby/cleany' than massagey as I was hoping for. I will say my scalp was VERY CLEAN when they finished, so I'll give em that. I was most disappointed though when it came time for the water ring that everyone wants/sees in the videos - mine moved once and then just stayed still for the rest of the time. It's supposed to move up and down (around your scalp) for the massagey feeling - my friend's moved, and mine didn't. I think the estheticians were out of the room while that was going on. Again, I felt my friend's esthetician was a bit more engaged. Afterwards, we went back to the front room where they looked at our scalps again - they asked us (and the other women earlier) if it looks better and I feel like everyone's answer is 'I guess so?" lol. They then did a quick blow dry (I probably should've opted not to since my hair just becomes a giant lion's mane from that) and the only comment my esthetician made was "your hair got very tangled" and combed out a lot of my hair (pretty normal for me). They did give us a little bowl of fruit, a water, and a cookie after on a cute tray which was nice though I felt weird eating it while they blow dried. Overall I thought the experience was just OK. I think I would try it again at another spa - they just seemed frazzled here and I didn't necessarily feel as pampered as I would have liked. I really appreciated my friend treating us both to the experience - I saw other reviewers say they were charged extra for longer/thicker hair and I wonder if that was the case here too.

The service itself was performed well, and I was satisfied with the quality of the wax. However, the subsequent events have caused significant disappointment and lead me to strongly advise caution to other male clients. The day after my service, I was unexpectedly contacted by the manager and informed that I was banned from the establishment due to an "inappropriate conversation" with the esthetician. This notification was perplexing, as the conversation in question was initiated by the esthetician's small talk. During the service, Reagan asked about my weekend plans. When I initially mentioned that the plans were personal, she indicated that was acceptable. I then shared that my wife and I planned to visit The Scarlet Ranch, a known lifestyle club. As my wife and I are open about our lifestyle, I was willing to engage in general, surface-level discussion. Reagan continued to actively participate, asking multiple follow-up questions about the club's atmosphere, membership fees, types of events, and clientele. I was careful to keep my responses strictly professional and non-sexual, focusing on logistical and social aspects. At no point during this sustained conversation did the esthetician indicate that she felt uncomfortable or ask to change the subject. Therefore, receiving a call informing me I was banned--and being told by the manager that the conversation was "inappropriate to have while getting a male Brazilian"--was a significant surprise. It seems highly unprofessional to ban a paying customer without the service provider communicating any discomfort during the interaction. Feedback on Communication and Professionalism: For the management and staff: Professional protocol dictates that if a client's conversation makes a staff member uncomfortable, the staff member must clearly and politely redirect or end the topic of conversation. Customers cannot be expected to know a provider's boundaries, especially when the provider is actively engaging and asking follow-up questions. A simple, "I prefer to keep our conversation limited to the service," would have been sufficient and professional. This lack of professional communication has resulted in the loss of a repeat client and has created an unnecessarily unpleasant experience. I urge management to review their policies on staff interaction and boundary setting. Recommendation for Male Clients: Due to this experience, I do not recommend this establishment for males seeking a Brazilian wax. While the technique was good, the overall lack of staff maturity and professionalism in handling client conversations is concerning. Prospective clients might consider alternatives like European Wax Center for a lower-cost option. I hope this feedback leads to better communication practices so that other clients do not feel targeted or confused in the future.

I also expressed my sensitive skin worries, before the service and she acknowledged that, but still used the wax anyways. The skin above and below my eyes was red and peeling for two days after the service. When I asked about it, all I was told was to put Benadryl on my skin. Cortisone near one's eyes is not a great idea from a medical standpoint. It was too late to stop her as I didn't know what she was doing til she pulled the wax linen strip off. I thought she was still using the template when she was touching my face. I also had to ask for the color fill although it was included in the price. $55 is very high for the factory like service I received. I felt as though my service was not individualized and everyone going to Shante gets the same exact procedure no matter what you pay for. The only reason, this was not one star, was because it was very easy to book on the website. Other than that, there is no positives with booking at this beauty Lounge. Many places do a much better job, and cost 20 to 30% less. I definitely will not be back.

I am extremely particular and specific with my hair cuts, after getting completely spoiled rotten…read morein San Francisco, CA, where my hair stylists there were all trained in NYC, London, and Tokyo, and they did editorial / fashion work for Nordstrom, Gap, etc. So after trying 3 other hair stylists here in Denver, CO, my hometown, after reluctantly returning here in 2021, after being gone since 2001, intentionally leaving for bigger, international, cosmopolitan cities, like: Chicago, IL, Sevilla, SPAIN (and having my hair colored in Amsterdam, NETHERLANDS & cut in London, ENGLAND/UK), Majuro, Republic of the Marshall Islands, Washington, D.C., San Francisco, CA, and Plano, TX, and all not being as precise & specific & well-trained as my hair *ARTISTS* to who I'm accustomed, I was about ready to fly to SF for my hair cuts. Enter: JACK! This is how desperate I had become. I saw a beautiful woman, with beautiful hair & make-up, and I befriended her at the grocery store. Then when my last hair stylist failed, including burning my hair off with an ouchy, too hot, Dyson hair dryer, and hurting my scalp, still healing from Mohs surgery - in my hair line, above my forehead - I reached out to this woman, who had previously provided me with both hair colorist & aesthetician referrals, back when I was considering coloring my hair, before I learned it was not in alignment with my health goals. Long story. I was very suspicious, as I've been spoiled with posh hair stylists properly cutting my hair throughout my entire life, so yes, I'm high maintenance. I read Jack's bio. I was extremely impressed, but still scared. I came in armed with all my SF hair stylist's instructions on how to cut my hair, into my preferred style, translated into hair stylist/artist language. Jack had the skills, I could tell, as he did not need the instructions, gratefully. We are now in a "business as usual (BAU)" hair state, after it took a few hair cuts to correct the other 3 hair stylists - who were basically colorists - hair cutting uneven mistakes, where they'd given me shelf-like layers, that were neither long, nor blended. I'm so thrilled I can now trust Jack, tell him I want my "usual," and ask for his recommendation on the length I need trimmed, to keep my hair healthy, as we play around with regular cadence (e.g., every 8-12 weeks). I also love that he & Arrow use my same hair care products, from my salon(s) in San Francisco, CA. And I love that he recommended me a home hair dryer, when I saw his L'Ange, given I have the same brand to curl/straighten my hair. The vibe is lovely, but I'm not here for the vibe. I'm here for hair *ARCHITECTURE*, because if you get a properly architected/artistic-perfection hair cut, you don't have to do much to it at home, and can enjoy your leisure time. :-) P.s. I'll need to post a photo the next time I wear make-up, and am photo-ready, after Jack cuts my hair. Will do!

When I…read morearrived, there was another client wrapping up their hair cut, and Connie, who was handling my color, had her trainee assist with me. While I didn't mind the trainee's help, it quickly became apparent that she was doing most of my hair--she handled half the root touch-up, the toning, washing, and half the blow-dry while Connie juggled another client at the same time next to me. I wasn't sure who was really in charge of my appointment. The biggest issue came at checkout when I was surprised with an additional $71 charge for a blow-dry. I had no prior explanation of this fee, and when I asked about it, I was told I could've left with wet hair if I didn't want the blow-dry. This charge seemed unreasonable, especially after already paying $125 for the root touchup. ($125 for a root touch up with no blow dry?!?!) The lack of transparency was very annoying. The staff tried to upsell me throughout my visit--suggesting brow services and conditioning treatments. While I understand they want to offer additional services, it felt a bit pushy and made the experience feel more like a cheap salon rather than a professional setting. While the color itself was decent, I'd recommend making sure you ask about all fees and services upfront if you decide to go. It seems like communication and transparency could be improved.
