My friend treated both of us for our birthdays to the 60 minute head spa here. She'd been to one before but this was my first time - I was excited from the videos I'd seen on social media. When we first got there, the staff were having some issues with their card reader so there was a little delay but they were apologetic. They had us pick out an essential oil scent at the desk (she got lavender, I got peppermint) - they use that at the beginning of the treatment when you first lie down. We were then given robes and directed to the changing room. A little small but it worked fine and they do have lockers with keys on stretchy bands so you can keep it on your wrist during the treatment. First stop was the front room where each esthetician used a little machine to look at our scalps. I have some scalp issues and my friend does not and our scalps looked kind of the same. Not sure the machine is particularly helpful. My esthetician didn't really ask me any questions or goals - my friend's esthetician was a little more talkative. I think mine might have been the owner who seemed a bit frazzled that day. We finally went into the spa room and they got us onto the tables but there was another ~5 minute delay or so. The experience was a bit more 'scrubby/cleany' than massagey as I was hoping for. I will say my scalp was VERY CLEAN when they finished, so I'll give em that. I was most disappointed though when it came time for the water ring that everyone wants/sees in the videos - mine moved once and then just stayed still for the rest of the time. It's supposed to move up and down (around your scalp) for the massagey feeling - my friend's moved, and mine didn't. I think the estheticians were out of the room while that was going on. Again, I felt my friend's esthetician was a bit more engaged. Afterwards, we went back to the front room where they looked at our scalps again - they asked us (and the other women earlier) if it looks better and I feel like everyone's answer is 'I guess so?" lol. They then did a quick blow dry (I probably should've opted not to since my hair just becomes a giant lion's mane from that) and the only comment my esthetician made was "your hair got very tangled" and combed out a lot of my hair (pretty normal for me). They did give us a little bowl of fruit, a water, and a cookie after on a cute tray which was nice though I felt weird eating it while they blow dried. Overall I thought the experience was just OK. I think I would try it again at another spa - they just seemed frazzled here and I didn't necessarily feel as pampered as I would have liked. I really appreciated my friend treating us both to the experience - I saw other reviewers say they were charged extra for longer/thicker hair and I wonder if that was the case here too. read more

What are unique and memorable experience for my husband's birthday! We both experienced the head spa and it was everything that we have seen and wanted! Not only do they treat your scalp and hair, but they give you a beautiful upper body massage. Really enjoyed the scalp imaging and analysis of our hairs. A lovely little snack tray after the services while they gave us a blowout. Looking forward to going back for other services, We have to try out the Korean skin care services. Came here with a friend for a relaxing girls afternoon. When we walked in we were kindly greeted and quickly asked to pick out a scent-- I selected Eucalyptus. Follow the scent selection we were brought into a salon room to get our scalps analyzed with a camera & monitor. You then change into a coverup and robe, put your stuff into a provided locker and then go into the treatment room-- me and my friend had our treatments done at the same time in the same room. Just before my treatment, the hair tech told me that because I had long thick hair there was an extra charge (I was ok with that but think that is something they should have told me at check in). The service was nice and relaxing-- comparable to an extra long hair wash/head message for a haircut with the lights dim and soft music. Post the treatment you go back into the salon room and have a follow up analysis-- my scalp my cleaner and hydrated. They finish up with a blow dry. My hair was very soft and felt extra clean. Not sure this is something I would do regularly but, it was a nice girl date activity. read more

I got to elevate my beauty (LOL) at Pur Artistry in DTC just yesterday and must share my experience. This was a Christmas gift from my daughter which I finally got a chance to use it this month (late January of 2025.) I'd heard about the Japanese Head & Scalp therapy more than several times in the past before my virgin experience yesterday. And to experience something so revolutionary (that many have been talking about), my anticipation was so high. And it did not disappoint. The DTC location is in the heart of it. As this neighborhood has seen so many renovations and development, this modern-looking salon's birth in it is so fitting. The inside of the salon is so clean and beautiful. It also smells wonderful. Once I was greeted upfront, another person later came and offered me a small bottle of water. She then took me to the first room (on the right) for a scalp analysis. To my surprise, I was told that I had oily scalp (I'm very middle aged with driest skin/scalp on earth due to Colorado's climate so being told that my scalp was actually oily was a sure surprise; I took that as a compliment; LOL!!) She then gave me the rundown of the treatment I'd had been gifted. Sounded like a full course menu for sure. My technician finally came to the room to greet me. Her name is Vy. She was very sweet and kind in her demeanor. She took me to the changing room so I could get into a body wrap and a robe. I put all my personal belongingd in one of the lockers. I was finally ready for today's special pampering experience. Vy started out with the essential oil that I picked upon arrival: Orange. She put at least a few to several drops of it into her palms, rub it gently and placed it in front of my nose for me to inhale. What a way to start my ultimate treatment. Next came the scalp exfoliation to remove any/all dead skin cells. I believe she used at least a few different products to do so. The Double Cleanse was next. Whatever she used (shampoo) to cleanse my entire head felt like it stripped away all the gunk my oily scalp had. While washing, she made all kinds of circulatory motions using both hands to stimulate the root and blood circulation. What comes after a good shampoo? Conditioner!! This truly nourished and hydrated my scalp as well as my hair. A thorough rinsing should not be undermined. She not only used the regular extendable shower head to rinse it but also did she use the half halo shaped rain drop machine for a gentle rinse. By this time, I was in my dream as everything was so relaxing. Once everything was done, she wrapped my very wet head with a towel so I could go back to the changing room to change into my clothes. Once out, she took me to the final part of the treatment: blow dry (this was done in the same room when the other lady did my scalp analysis so you go to two different rooms for this whole treatment and service.) While the blow dry, she gave me a complimentary light snack for me to savor (a fruit bowl with a French madeleine.) This was like a first-class service! The end result was so amazing. Another scalp analysis revealed that all the oiliness I saw at the beginning was gone. And the shine on my hair was something I had never seen before. Usually, my hair looks very frizzy after a shampoo and a good amount of conditioner (no matter what product I use I had never achieved this kind of shine on my hair.) This simply stunned me. This whole treatment of a little over an hour was a gift (like I said earlier. ) If you bought the same thing I had, it would easily be $140+. Not cheap alright but for this exclusive treatment experience to elevate you to the next level or higher, doing in here and there may not be so daunting. With that said, I will definitely do it again. Thanks, Vy for the experience. The day after I am writing this review, my hair still smells wonderful. I would hate to wash it as I can comb through it without any struggle as it's still so silky. read more

They charge an extra $15 more for your hair past your shoulders. They consider that "long or thick". My hair is to my bra strap, I have thin hair , and it was more of the tail of my hair due to the haircut that made it look "long" to their standards. They told me it was on the website when you check to select " Long or thick hair" on the "add ons"but I did not even know to select there as a first time customer. Needless to say, they said this time they wouldn't charge. Damn right you're not! Anyways, I got the Deluxe Head Spa $195 plus $15 foot massage for both my sister and I. I paid enough for you to try to tack on extra . I won't be coming back. I also feel it was way overpriced for what you get. read more

I got my wife a gift card to here under a deal that they're offering. So, it was a good priceish. Still really, really expensive for a Japanese head spa. But my wife really liked it. She would've liked more of the head spa part in the service instead of the other parts for the body in the arms. But she would do it again. She went to the Denver Tech location. Oh, and keep in mind that they charge an extra $20 if you have long hair, which for a woman is almost everyone, so keep that in mind. That's on top of what the services cost. read more

Let's start out by saying overall the customer service was bad. I waited in the lobby for 20 minutes before anyone even acknowledged I was there. I was taken to a table, was given no consultation or asked what I wanted and my eyelashes are now ruined. My eyebrows look like a toddler waxed and colored them - I got the 2005 apostrophe eyebrow special apparently- and when I asked her to fix my lashes because they're too curled and laying flat on my eye lid she said "no they're great just brush them down" After I insisted she fix them... two more perm applications later and my lashes are still curling up under my eyelid. I consulted another salon and was told if I put any more perm solution on my lashes to try to relax them that they'll break off. $200 later and I'm left with ruined brows and lashes. read more

I had a great experience at Pur Artistry with Linda. The place is clean, quiet and relaxing. I went at 10am on a Monday for the essential head spa treatment. I was the only client in the place at the time. They examined my scalp and found some dryness. After looking at my scalp she showed me to the changing room where they had lockers and a silk robe for me. We then went into a room with four other treatment tables. She started with the essential oil I chose at the beginning. Right when I was getting relaxed someone came in and told her we shouldn't be in that room because a group was coming in soon. So, that was a bit of a bummer. However, after that it was very relaxing. She scrubbed my scalp, massaged and rinsed a few times. She even included a quick neck, shoulder and foot massage. I think I plan on doing this quarterly. I will be back. read more

Really interesting experience that I would do again. I have wanted to try the Japanese water experience for quite some time because I wanted to get my scalp care under control. When you first check in, you get to see a close up of your scalp; in my case, very dry. During the experience, you get an hour long head massage with different oils. You are in a room with 3-4 other people unless you come during the week day. I knew this so opted for a Monday afternoon and saw only one other person who was on the other side of the room. It's very tranquil and no one talks the entire time. After you're done, they give you a snack and move you into a room where they blow dry your hair and check your scalp again. My therapist walked through things I could do to my scalp and didn't push me to buy anything there. I have taken her recommendations and they have worked wonders. Very cool and would go again! One star taken for their online booking. If you have to reschedule, do so on the phone so you don't get charged another deposit. read more

I know I love head massages and getting a shampoo, but this was next level. It was so relaxing and wonderful. My hair is so incredibly soft. The price is a little steep, so I'm glad we went for the 20 percent off promo. With that said, well worth it. Just maybe more of a special celebration treatment. Located on a off street road in DTC, this cute lash/brow shop is nestled amongst various restaurants. Sister shop to Purluxe Beauty Bar, you could see the resemblance through the stylish wallpaper and interior decor. I had scheduled an end of day appointment on a Sunday so there was just the lash specialist and me which made it feel more personable. I was instantly greeted upon entry. After checking in was offered a water or coffee. The bed was located towards the middle of the store. It was super comfortable and my lash specialist talked me through the options. The appointment went fast and I was comfortable the whole time. Loved how the lashes turned out and will definitely be back! read more

Waste of money and a huge disappointment. My friend booked our appointments and overall the experience was not worth the $125 + tip that I had to pay. You share a room with someone and can hear everyone's conversation in the whole place through the walls. The girl doing my hair never checked on me or asked how my water temp was. She ripped my hair out the entire treatment and burned my scalp. At the end she left me under the blow dryer for 10 min sitting there letting it burn my head while she helped people at the front. When she came back she proceeded to brush through my hair and any tangles ripping it out even more. She didn't even do a scalp analyses at the end. Overall very low quality for a very high price. Also, not only did she not check on me at all the whole treatment she never spoke to me except for telling me my hair was too long and it should cost more but that she won't charge me extra THIS time. I saw this all over social media and was so excited to try it here in Colorado for my birthday. One of my fav. thing to do when I travel is try different head spas. I have done it in Japan, Korea, China, Hong Kong, California and Atlanta. Pro: The spa nice and clean Con: For the price they charge you expect a spa like experience, not just an extremely clean scalp. Bad scheduling system and horrible customer service - No water/ tea offer when you walk in. I was so thirsty through out my whole appointment - We booked 3 girls for Deluxe Head spa $195 each, scheduled on the phone 3 days before our appointment. When we arrived they said we were not on the schedule. They weren't able to take all 3 of us. They said they don't do their own phone appointments and different company does it. - After talking to the ladies at the front desk for over 20 min after our original appointment, they gave us the option of doing 1 essential spa and 2 deluxe but they will be at different time. - I ask if they would offer any discount or promotion for the inconvenience. They laugh and told me "no we don't do that." - WELL THAT'S A LIE, since on their website it say 10% off for 2 or more head spas. But also is call customer service. - During my treatment. They show me my scalp but didn't tell me what type of product they will use for it. So I feel like they use same product for all type of hair and scalp. - When i was finally a little relax i felt like someone was over me, when I open my eyes, there was a different lady getting stuff under my bed which scared the day lights out of me. - The halo around my eyes was not relaxing I felt claustrophobic Tips for future customer: wear comfy shoes they don't have any shoes or slippers. Lockers are limited so don't bring anything valuable. Double check your appointment before taking off work early or finding a baby sitter. This was so beyond worth the money. I have been to another headspa in a different state, but this location was incredible. I purchased the Ultra Deluxe package, and it was pricey, but for the length of treatment and the sheer amount of time they spend on your hair, it's worth it. The studio is very relaxing and decorated so cute. Some other reviews complained about the studio not being private, but each bed is separated by a curtain and it wasn't an issue for me. I was still able to relax. My only (very small) complaint is that I was charged an extra $15 due to the length and thickness of my hair. I totally understand this because I have butt-length hair and it's very thick so it's a lot of work. My only issue is that I don't remember seeing this possible upcharge listed anywhere on the website. I may have just missed it though. The service is AMAZING! My technician Chloe was fantastic and super helpful. Super relaxing. My only qualm and reason for 3 stars is I booked two services at once about two months in advance for my best friends birthday. They run a promotion that if you book two services you get a discount. When booking the discount didn't automatically apply so I called to confirm that when I come to the appointment in June I will be able to receive the discount no issue and they were very reassuring and kind! Then after the service when going to pay they refused to acknowledge the discount, said that that promotion was "no longer running" which is funny because when my technician pulled up the promotions she even saw the same promotion I was talking about on the website!!! She kept asking another lady who kept saying no and that she should "refresh the page" which makes me feel like they just updated it... because I even checked the website recently and that 2 service promotion was still on there. Just kind of put a damper on the end of what was such a relaxing experience, especially because I'm a teacher! Went for the first time today and so enjoyed my Deluxe Head Spa with Nhi! Was not expecting to also get a shoulder, upper chest, and arm massage too! So nice! Not one to usually leave reviews but this is so worth it! Such a cute space with great aesthetic. Super clean space and everyone was so gentle and kind! Got a scalp analysis to start and one to finish along with recommendations for what to do at home to address areas of concern. Finished off with a bowl of fruit, biscoff cookies, and a bottle of water while I had my hair blow dried. Signed up for a monthly membership right there because I couldn't wait to book my next appointment and knew this would be a monthly self care item from here on out! Here is my honest review because I believe in getting a great service if it cost what they charged. Such a let down! My sister took me here this past weekend for my 40th birthday gift. I feel horrible knowing how much she spent for us to do this and it was subpar, at best. The "consultation" was brushing our hair and putting a camera to the scalp. We had to wait turns to use the one restroom to change into robes that are most definitely only made for S-XL women. Yes, some of us are bigger. We were taken to a room that seemed nice and relaxing but she only covered part of my body so my right side and feet were freezing! I'm literally sore from the "massage" that happened everywhere BUT my scalp. The room and faucets were loud and made it difficult to relax. The cheap scalp tingler thing she used nearly took my scalp off. I don't have any skin issues and my face is broken out from the mask and or oil applied to my face. The water portion that involved just relaxing under it was maybe 5 minutes total. Would have loved more of that and attention to the scalp. The nail in the coffin was leaving with frizzy hair because contrary to what is advertised- your hair is in no way styled. Just dried and brushed at the same time. $175.00 is a rip off based on our extremely disappointing experience. read more

I went here for the first time after booking a last minute appointment. I left very happy. I had an eyebrow tint, eyelash lift + tint and dermaplane. I saw Tee and she was wonderful.
