So, my birthday month ended today, and I hung out with some friends at a salt cave in Park Place. It was so relaxing, and then we checked out everything else they had. After that, a bunch of us went to Atlas Tavern for lunch - I got the apple butter chicken sandwich (it was $15.75!). So this was def a different experience. It was relaxing and the man made cave was set up nice. I liked that they gave everyone noise canceling headphones because some people were snoring during our session. FYI: Don't be that person that goes to sleep and snore! The owners were nice and informative about the benefits of the salt cave. I personally didn't experience any changes that I could notice but one person in my group expressed that she could feel her sinuses draining so if you have bad congestion then this place is definitely for you. I will try this place again when we get closer to seasonal allergy season because I have bad seasonal allergies. read more

Well I'm not going to lie. I booked an appointment online but needed to change our appointment time. It was a surprise gift for my gf birthday. It's at this time I should say that I'm a deaf man and I use a newly created app that allows me to use my phone to communicate. I went online in hopes of being able to change my time but the website stated I needed to call. I called and Laura apparently picked up. My phone gives a voice to me which I'm sure sounds like a computer generated voice. I was immediately hung up on. So I tried again, hoping to be able to explain that I'm deaf and use a special app to communicate. Once again I was hung up on. Remember I told you I I'm not going to lie? I was hung up on 7 times! That's a real number. I then went back to the website and was able to find an email address. I explained that I've been trying to call because we had an appointment scheduled but just needed to change the time. I then called once again and quickly said, " check email " and of course was hung up on. An hour later I got an email stating my time was changed. The salt cave experience was fine, nothing special but this was for my gf, not me. But I will say, the 2 woman that were there that day, Pam and most likely Laura did not even once attempt to communicate with me. They were only interested in communicating with my hearing gf. I had a wonderful experience at the salt cave with a dear friend. We went for a girls night and didn't know what to expect. I found the experience relaxing, calming and transcendental. The salt flowing into the air definitely seemed to ease my allergy symptoms and I felt like a million bucks afterward. If you taste your skin on your hand or arm after, you'll be super salty! Walking into the cave is amazing. I love the way it looks and the way the salt feels underfoot. Once the door closes, the lights in the cave - including twinkling "stars" on the ceiling - are almost hypnotic to watch. What a purely enjoyable 45 minutes. This place is amazing! It's a hidden gem and the salt combined with the lights is so soothing. They also have a shop with all kinds of stones and gorgeous jewelry that are reasonably priced. They were a bit slow when I came in with my friends and the girl at the front desk let us explore around and try the vibration machine and take pictures and was so patient with all of our questions. We all left feeling happier and and the salt makes your skin glow! They also have special events once a month in case you want to try it for free. We also did the yoga in the cave with CBD which I would highly recommend. The medical medium was fun as well but you might want to take that with a grain of salt. read more

Sometimes people will cough or sneeze in your group; it didn't bother us. If you are a germaphobe ask what time of the week is slowest.(less people) Relax and you will go somewhere else. This was a different, relaxing experience. The seats are adjustable & swing/recline all the way back to where your feet are in the air if you wanted. As soon as you walk into the salt cave you can taste the salt in the air. There is a lot of salt that gets dispersed into the air as you relax & listen to the calming sounds. It took me a little while to relax bc I was sitting next to the salt blower & that was a lot of salt smoke to take in. I don't think this would be good for a person that has bad asthma but I could be wrong. There are suppose to be a lot of healing benefits through this experience. I will say, I was super relaxed and fell asleep. It felt like I was sleep for at least an hr when it was probably only 15- 20 mins. My friend on the other hand, felt like it went by fast. We were in there for 45 mins. They educate you on the benefits before you start your session. There are a lot of nice trinkets & crystals to buy in the front and back of the store. read more

I went there to relax because I was fatigued both mentally and physically. When I had been to another similar place before, I was the only one in the room, the chair was nice wooden rocking chair, the temperature was warm, and I instantly fell into a deep sleep and felt really comfortable and relaxed. That was the image I had in my head when I went to Tranquility Salt Cave. However, I already felt in the first few minutes I may not have the same experience there. First of all, all the lockers were in use, and all the baskets for shoes were also in use. To me, they knew how many people were booked and should have prepared for our arrivals and make sure these items are ready and available for us to use. I arrived a few minutes before my appointment, but they had me wait for several minutes. They finally led about seven people, including myself, entered the room. The chairs were arranged so that we had to face each others, which was a bit awkward. Couldn't they at least put the chairs facing the wall backwards to give us some privacy? The chair was cheap beach chair with a tiny pillow attached which was hard and weirdly shared, super uncomfortable. The salt air irritated my throat and made me cough, and I had to hold my cough in for fear of disturbing everyone else. Hardly a way to relax. I was not used to napping in a small room with complete strangers including an opposite sex, with no privacy, and I couldn't get relax enough to fall asleep, my throat was choking, I was cold, and wanted it to be over as soon as possible. It was a good experience. Could have been great but one person in our group fell asleep immediately and started snoring very loudly. He could be heard even over ear plugs and the headset! It really kind of ruined the experience for me...but that is not the fault of the establishment...just inconsiderate people. The staff are very friendly and considerate. If you are looking for a place to relax an refocus, then this is the place for you. I personally ejoy the Salt Cave, the soothing sounds and the warmth of the heated floor adds to the experience. I always get the best naps in :-). Bring your own white socks, if you forget them at home they have some you can use. I've also experienced the heated vibro acoustic biomat and the ionic detox foot bath and enjoyed them. This facility has a way of helping you quite the outside noise and enjoy the inner peace. Had a really nice visit here with 3 friends on a Sunday afternoon. We were all newbies and had no idea what to expect, but we arrived and were given clear instructions, put our items in the lockers, and got settled into the room on time. The experience was very relaxing, you could feel your sinuses clearing within minutes! The chairs are zero-gravity chairs that lock into place so very easy to find a comfortable position. I took an amazing 35ish minute nap and woke up feeling great. My only gripe is they provide you with a comfy blanket to use during your experience (which made it really nice!). At the end of your experience, they ask you to fold the blanket and put it back in the chair, meaning I just laid under a blanket for 45 minutes that EVERYONE has used that day, and maybe prior days? In this age of COVID, we should be provided a fresh and clean blanket, and the chairs be wiped down. I did not see any sort of cleaning happening between groups and to me that's a buzzkill for the experience. Next time, I will likely request a clean blanket upon check in. Also, I used their restroom, and I am hoping this is a one time thing, but it was disgusting. The rest of the facility appeared clean, but I'd say cleaning isnt a top priority. read more

She even took our picture for us when we were done. I'm definitely going back. I so want to try the detox foot bath. First, I gotta say I feel pretty lucky to have a special place like this in my city. Having a real life salt cave twenty minutes away from home is not typical. Halotherapy is not super popular, although its been said to provide healing benefits to the human body. A friend and I found Tranquility Salt Cave on Yelp after looking for alternative techniques for dealing with pain and inflammation. For only thirty-five dollars a session, it was definitely worth it to try. We arrived right on time for our appointment and anxiously signed in and waited for instruction. We were told to take our shoes off and to replace them with clean white socks. We stashed our shoes in little cubbies under a bench and one of the owners explained what was about to come. He opened the doors to the cave and I immediately noticed the heated salt pebble floor. It was really cool to walk on. We then each picked a seat and got settled in. Once the door to the cave closed, a lady spoke briefly over the intercom and the overhead twinkle lights came on. It was dark but you could still see a little thanks to the lights above and the glowing salt rocks. There was a light calming sound and it didn't take long before I started to drift of. It took me about twenty minutes before I was in full meditation mode. It was extremely relaxing and the time just flew by. After about forty-five minutes one of the owners opened the door to the cave to allow some light to fill the space before shocking our eyes. I walked out in awe of the experience and feeling so calm. The husband and wife co-owners were super friendly and chatted with me for a bit about their business and all the amazing benefits of Himalayan salt therapy. They filled me in on the side effects such as a runny nose and welcomed me back for another visit. The more sessions you buy the cheaper each session gets and you can save with a frequent buyer card. I'm really excited to try this therapy again and I hope you give it a shot too! read more

I had a wonderful experience at the Tranquility Salt Cave. My friend Jayme H and I adventured here for a 45-minute halotherapy session. We've been interested in halotherapy and its healing benefits for chronic pain and stress. Not many salt caves exist around Ohio, so we were excited to try this spot. FYI: Tranquility is located on the side of the strip mall. My GPS had a hard time locating it, so know if you pull into the strip mall, you're in the right place. We booked a 45 minute session towards the end of the day and had the entire cave to ourselves. We weren't sure what to expect, but the entire process was seamless. We came dressed in comfy sweatpants and clean white socks (required for the heated pebble floors) and left our shoes in a bin outside. We entered the salt cave (which is of course manmade) and settled into our chairs with blankets. There is also a little tray next to your chair to put a small purse or keys. Once they shut the door you are surrounded by the soft glow of the built in wall salt lamps (which light up for the colors of the chakras) and the twinkle lights. They also have a system pushing sea salt into the air. A voice comes on the speaker and walks you through what is happening and encourages meditation, followed by calming music. I have a bad back but actually found the chair to be very comfortable and ergonomic. It took me about 20 minutes to fully relax and get used to the environment, and I found the twinkling lights on the ceiling very soothing. Afterwards, I felt very relaxed. I didn't experience any weird symptoms, and in fact had fallen asleep during the session (which is weird for me, as I'm not one of those people who can fall asleep anywhere). It was a really centering experience that solidified my belief in halotherapy. The owners were also super nice, and upon leaving we browsed their selection of healing crystals, affordable priced salt lamps, crystal pendulums and more. Overall, a very positive experience and I will definitely return the next time I'm in Columbus. Worth every penny! read more

I took my mom and sister here for a pre-Mother's day experience. The owners were so kind and the cave is amazing. My mom fell asleep before the intro. Was finished being given! My wife was told by a co-worker about this place and said that her husband had been using it and we should try. She said his anxiety level had gone down quite a bit as well as his allergies and congestion were made under control by visiting the Salt Cave twice a week. I was a bit more skeptical than my wife but I'm open minded so we got some reservations the day before Thanksgiving and headed on over to try it out. Coming in with our white socks (they have to be plain white socks) we really thought it was cool as to how the salt felt on our feet. A little different than I expected. I figured it'd be much like the beach but this was much more fine salt than what is at the beach so it felt much more relaxing than just plain sand. The chair we sat in was amazing, although it didn't look like much. Once we laid back I saw where the name "zero gravity" came from. The lady put blankets on our feet and positioned it just how we were comfortable which I thought was very nice. We were told how to focus on the chakras and then she closed up our cave. At first I was having a bit of a hard time relaxing because, well I think like most folks today you're trained to be multi-tasking and always doing something and this is...well relaxing and just focusing on nothing, which is hard. But after about ten minutes I felt my body relax and I went into an almost hypnotic state. It was truly an out of this world type experience. I had some somewhat visual hallucinations because, much like one does when viewing a 3D picture, when you relax your eyes you can see things a little different. For me I was focusing on a single chakra on the opposite wall and after some time all things around it blacked out and all I could see was the single chakra. If I changed my gaze slightly everything came back to "normal" so it wasn't too strange but it was really awesome is what it was. Being in a very deeply relaxed state is what basically a hypnotic state is and I felt I achieved that and then it seemed as if the concept of time went away and I was just in a somewhat other-worldly out of body type feeling. It was a highly unique and unusual experience and honestly I was surprised at just how tranformative it was. When we came out I was asking the woman questions and telling her about how my experience had gone and I think she was a little surprised at my experience, probably because I acted so strangely about it, but it really was pretty hypnotic and something I did not expect. I was thinking, going in, let's just do this and maybe it'll be kind of relaxing, and then we'll probably never come back, I mean $35 isn't cheap. But after doing it all I could talk about with my wife was when we could go back and buying the 4 sessions for $100 deal. Honestly I cannot recommend this place enough, it's amazing and makes me feel as if there is a lot of other aspects to spirtuality and otherwordly experiences and things like the chakra and such that I should seek to explore to help restore more balance in my life. I will note as well that for a good many days after going my wife's cough and congestion and clearing her throat all went away too, which is amazing for just being in there for 45 minutes. One of my coworkers in Ohio picked me up from the airport and our timing was PERFECT because we were the only ones in the CAVE. It was the most relaxed I think I've ever been in my life and I need to go back. She and I did the foot cleanse as well and the toxins that I left behind was scary!! If you are looking for a place to relax, you've come to the right place! My wife and I enjoyed every minute of it. There is not much to explain. The owners go over everything with you. The cave is man-made ceiling with fiber optic lighting that flows over you as you listen to soothing spa music. A foggy mist of salt comes into room during the 45 minute session. Enjoy zero gravity chairs, fuzzy blankets and lean back and take it in. The floor is covered in salt with heated floor underneath. Some people might experience sinus drainage during or way after. It was the later for me. Highly recommend this great healing, relaxing visit! They have a nice retail shop in front and the cave is directly behind it. First time experience was a disappointment, could not totally relax because we kept anticipating "Rose" to talk then music, we were never spoken to and there wasn't any music, we could hear mechanical noises and staff talking outside the cave. When I mentioned to the staff all they said was "oh I'm sorry, I thought I hit the button for the music" thanks for being so empathetic. Will definitely not go there. Update:I received an email from the owners about my experience. They explained that the power unit was cut to the sound system due to construction in a building behind them. This also explains their stunned look when I said there wasn't any music because they had started the music but it quickly stopped and they were not aware of the malfunction. Attached to the email were two gift certificates to use in the future. They were very apologetic! I'm am all about supporting local businesses and am very happy they responded to my complaint. My best friend and I visited on a Monday morning. We had the place to ourselves! The room was warm, the blankets were sooo comfy, we really loved the salt floor. I'm a firm believer in salt lamps, but not in Eastern religions, so we took it for a chance to bathe in the negative ions and not a place to do anything with our "chakras". My only complaint could have been that there was a barking dog in the lobby while we were in the cave, but we were happily chatting away and maybe the employee knew we weren't trying to rest so quiet wasn't a consideration.
